Inside an abandoned building...

"Hey asswipes!". The masked intruder yelled, to call the attention of the three boys.

The one who seemed to be the gang leader rose to his feet as he was amused by the intruder's guts.

He smirked, stuffing his hands in his pockets then casted a scornful look at him.

"Asswipes?". He asked rhetorically and let out a snort.

"Nuguseyo? (Who are you?)".

At the corner, sat a trembling girl, her school uniform's top had been torn and she lowered her head, sobbing quietly.

She was cornered and attacked by the boys earlier, on her way home.

At the horrible sight of the girl, the intruder's rage increased and he clenched his fists and bit hard on the lower lip to calm the burning rage.

"How dare you?!". He yelled, startling the leader who quickly maintained his composure and balled up his fist.

"I asked who you are, you bastard!". He retorted.

"How is that important to you? Let her go".

"Ohh..." The gang leader came to realization as he turned to stare at the girl in his custody.

"You know this alluring toy?". He referred to her.

"Let. Her. Go!". The intruder clenched his teeth.

"I don't want any trouble, just let her go...".

He gained a scornful laughter from the leader, who turned to face the other members.

"Can you believe this guy?".

They also bursted out laughing.

"Yah! Jegullae? (Hey! Do you want to d!e?)". One asked, taking some intimidating steps towards him.

"This place is gonna be the place you die". He smirked.

"I can't think of a better place to bury you". The intruder smirked in return and cracked his neck bones.

Kang Min hyun's home...

"What's going on with you? I got another bad report about you from your teacher". Mr Kang Min hyun said to his daughter.

He was popular among the netizens and citizens for being a renowned martial arts master.

"Oh no..you can't beat me, I'm not the Optimus prime for nothing!". The latter snickered as she was focused on the game she was playing, ignoring her father's words.

He sighed as he stared at her, she had a cut on her lip and her left shoulder was bandaged.

"How can you be so nonchalant and stubborn? You got into another fight right?". He asked.

"She's always involved in a fight, it's not a new thing". Mrs Kang Mi rae said as she got into the sitting room with a tray in her hands.

"You're a girl, you should respect yourself".

"Dinner is ready". She announced.

"Young lady, are you even listening?". Mr Kang was getting furious as she totally snubbed both of them while playing with her phone.

"Yah!". He yelled all of a sudden at her, startling all of them.

Her phone dropped from her hands as she jerked in fear.

"Appa?". She was confused as she looked up at him.

"What's the matter?".

"You little brat! I told you to stop playing those games, you don't even listen to me anymore and you also ignore your mother". He said angrily.

"Dad, please stop".

Sonia, her older sister said approaching the dinning in her nightie.

"She saved me earlier, that's why she got injured".

"What happened?". Mrs Kang asked, worriedly.

"I..I was attacked by goblin and his crew". She replied.

"What? Again? What did he do to you?". Mrs Kang asked in fear of her precious daughter's life.

"Goblin, that son of a bitch!".

"Oppa!". Sonia gasped out as she sighted her twin brother, he just came in from wherever he went to.

"Language...Ramon... language". Mr Kang scolded.

"I'll fuckin' kill him if I get a hold of him". He growled.

"Oppa, I'm fine".

"I'll kill him, I'll make sure I do". He was so furious that he squashed the tangerine he was holding.

"Ani!....Jjinja Kwaenchana (No! I'm really fine)". Sonia murmured.

"Lisa saved me".

"It's all because of you Ramon, you and your stupid gang, I tell you, if anything happens to my daughter, I'll never forgive you". Mrs Kang glared at her son.

Since she discovered he had a gang and they were known to be notorious thugs, she hadn't been in good terms with him.

"I'll be upstairs in my room". Lisa spoke up as soon as the atmosphere became so tensed and she couldn't bear it anymore.

"Where do you think you're going? I served dinner and you're just going to walk right up to your room without eating?". Mrs Kang transferred her aggression to her.

"I'm not hungry, mom". She said and was about to leave for upstairs.

"I just got a text from your school". Her father said, looking up from his phone.

She turned to face him with her anxious eyes.

"You've been expelled". He dropped the bombshell.

She sighed as though she was expecting the news and proceeded to her room, it wasn't new to her.

"Again?!". Mrs Kang flared up.

"What is your problem Lisa?".

She played deaf ears and plopped down to her bed.

"Fuck the school anyway". She murmured and took a peek out the door to see if anyone followed her.

No one did and she arranged two of her pillow on her side of the bed and covered them with her blanket to look like a human.

"Looks real to me". She said with a smirk, then walked to her wardrobe.

She took out a bag of spray paints and her pair of hand gloves, then finally, her Optimus prime mask.

"You asked for it, Stupid..." She smirked and grabbed her stuffs, then jumped down her window, running into the dark.

"Lisa, I brought..." Sonia stopped in her tracks on seeing the silhouette at the window side and she knew she was gone.

"Oh dear". She sighed and dropped the tray by the bedside.

"Please come back safely".

She quietly closed the room door and went back downstairs.

Next morning...

The alarm on Lisa's bedside table went off.

She grumbled in her sleep and rolled over to turn it off.

Another boring day in school...

She thought to herself as she tried hard to detach herself from the blanket.

She looked over to where her dinner was served, it was untouched and she sighed deeply.

"Sonia eeonnie will not be happy". She murmured, then stuffed her legs into her slippers.

As she got out of bed, something clicked in her head and her eyes were wide open in realization.

"I was expelled!". She gasped out loud as she laughed.

"I almost forgot...".

She fell back to her bed, letting out a sigh of relief.

"No school today". She smiled.

Immediately, her eyes diverted to the Optimus prime robot toy that was on the drawer.

A smile crept to her lips as she remembered how she got the robot.

"Measly moron". She muttered and smiled again.

Eight years ago...

"C'mon, give it back!". A nine-year-old boy grabbed the masked bully.

"I like it, so it's mine now loser!". The bully snickered and pushed him to the ground.

"My mom got me that robot, you can't have it". The innocent boy cried out and wiped his face.

"Are you crying huh? Measly moron?". The bully mocked him.

"Please, give me back my robot". He pleaded, getting on his feet.

"It's mine now, measly moron, I'm the Optimus prime, no one else can become the Optimus prime....not even you. If you really want your Optimus prime back, you should fight for it or else, you won't get it back".

"I don't want to fight you, just give me back my toy".

"You loser! You're so pathetic and I hate you! I'm not giving you the Optimus prime back, you don't deserve it!". The bully yelled at him and whacked him across the face, causing the latter to sprawl to the ground once more in tears as he watched his robot toy leave with the bully.

Lisa scoffed and bit on her lip as she felt her cheeks heating up.

She walked up to the drawer and took out her elementary school's magazine.

She sat on her bed and began flipping through the pages.

Engrossed in the magazine, she didn't notice when her sister got in.

"Don't tell me you're still daydreaming about him".

She was startled and she closed the magazine instantly.

"What are you talking about?". She feigned obliviousness, trying to hide the book.

"The boy from your class...you know, the one you had a huge crush on". Sonia said.

"I wasn't crushing on him...". Lisa replied embarrassed, amid gritted teeth.

"Oh really, then explain the red hearts you drew on his picture". Sonia said, crossing her arms.

"Uh well I...." Lisa drawled as she thought of what to say but failed.

"You what?". Her sister asked.

"Eeonnie, aren't you late for school...oh my gosh, look at the time". She tried to divert her sister's attention.

"Nuh-uh, I see what you're trying to do...besides, I'm not going to school today, dad said I should take the day off to recover from yesterday's incident".

"Ahhahh...okay.." Lisa said nervously.

"So tell me, where's the boy now?".

"I don't know". She replied as she opened the magazine again after accepting defeat.

"He was a real cutie". Her sister said, staring at the little boy's picture with a smile.

"Too sad you bullied him every day".

"What? I wasn't bullying him". Lisa scoffed.

"Yes you were...have you forgotten Mom and Dad got reports from your teachers every single day, oh my God you were the school's nightmare..you were terrorizing the school and it's pupils".

Lisa pouted in annoyance.

"I was just playful...that's it". She grumbled.

"No offense Lisa, you were the definition of 'evil', many people didn't even believe you're a girl...the principal thought you were a boy, not until you were summoned to his office with mom and dad".

There was a knock on the door..

Sonia's twin brother, Ramon walked in.

"Oppa, annyeong!". Lisa greeted.

"Hey kiddo". He waved.

"I'm not a kid!". She glared at him.

"Did you hear the news from school?". Ramon said to Sonia.

She shook her head.

"The school's been shut down for a week because something happened". He said.

"What happened?".

"This morning, it was discovered that the walls were filled with graffiti art and the principal's office was wrecked, it'll take a week to repaint the entire school buildings and replace some equipments in the principal office".

"How did that happen?". Sonia gasped.

"Someone said a guy snuck into the school to vandalize the school's properties...the school's CCTV couldn't get his face".

"Oh no, that's..." Sonia paused as her eyes caught the clothes in a pile, close to Lisa's bed, they were stained with paint.

"Lisa?".

"Yes?".

"Where were you last night?".

"Um...I...." Her eyes also diverted to the pile and she quickly pushed them underneath her bed, letting out a nervous smile.

"What did you do Lisa?".

"Nothing..."

"You vandalized the school right?".

"Uh...nope".

Sonia scoffed, then folded her arms.

"I can't believe you...ommo, this isn't happening...Lisa!".

"I'm sorry...okay? I was so mad for getting expelled and I had to retaliate". Lisa finally confessed.

"You did that?". Ramon was surprised.

"Cool!". He exclaimed with a smile and then gave her a thumbs up.

"Who's the cutest devil?" He cooed and rumpled her hair playfully.

She smiled back at him.

"Yahhh!". Sonia snapped.

"Both of you are unbelievable". She walked out of the room, disappointed.

"Let's go wreck the subway together sometime". He said, ignoring his twin and making a fist which he stretched out to Lisa.

"That sounds like fun". She grinned and bumped her fist with his.

"Lisa!". She heard her father yell from downstairs.

"Uh-oh". She gulped down nothing while Ramon scrambled out of the room.

"Yes father?". She rushed to the sitting room where he was seated with his wife.

He examined her from head to toe.

"Why are your hands covered in paint?".

She quickly hid her hands behind her...

"Uh...I was painting a picture". She lied.

"Up in my room". She added quickly to avoid suspicion.

"Look at how scruffy your hair looks? When last did you wash it?".

"Um...last week..or...last two weeks ago?". She pondered.

"Even Ramon washes his every two days, you're worse than a boy". Her father said.

"I've told you to stop playing those games. Because you are into the game, you have no time for yourself".

"Game or not, that's her nature... have you forgotten?". Mrs Kang asked.

"I found a job for you, you mustn't stay idle after your expulsion". Mr Kang said.

"A job?". She gasped out.

"I don't want a..."

"You ungrateful child! I've done everything to give you the best, I wanted the best education for you but all you did was disappoint me every single time, your school expenses is the most expensive compared to Sonia and Ramon's and they're in the upper class...have you ever wondered why?".

"Appa..." She wasn't expecting his outburst.

"No school wants to admit you as one of their students because of your unruly behavior and bad records, I had to pay extra to your former school to accept you but now you've been expelled, what more do you want me to do for you?".

She lowered her head to avoid his gaze as her fingers became fidgety.

"What kind of a girl are you? What kind of girl goes about, dressing like a boy? I really don't understand you Lisa".

She took in deep breaths and let it out as she tried calming her nerves.

"I'm sorry I'm a disgrace to you Appa". She murmured.

"Go quickly and freshen up, I'll take you to your new workplace".

She bowed her head and retreated to her room.

"Don't you think you were a bit too harsh on her?". She overheard her mom ask.

"Since when did you worry about her?". He retorted.

"She's my daughter I have to be worried". Mrs Kang replied.

"Oh now she's your daughter? I thought you never wanted anything to do with her since you're not her biological mother". Mr Kang fired.

"Stop being like this Kang min hyun!". She snapped.

"And how's that? Kang Mi rae?". He asked.

Lisa closed the door quietly to drown away their voices as she slowly slid to the floor, resting her back on the door.

Kang Mi rae wasn't her biological mother, but she's known her her whole life and was used to her.

She might've been cruel towards her but still, she loved her as a mother.

Sonia and Ramon were her biological children from her previous marriage which she divorced her ex husband, and her father took them in as his when he fell in love and married their mother.

She had no memory of her biological mother because she never knew her, she was only two years old when her mom and dad got separated.

They might be step siblings, but their bond was stronger than real siblings... Sonia, Ramon and Lisa.

"I'll take your order". Lisa said, forcing a smile at a customer as she adjusted the tight skirt she was putting on, it was so uncomfortable as it was the first time she was wearing one.

She was currently at a restaurant and the 'job' her father told her about was the work of a waitress.

The man collected the menu and began scanning through it with his eyes.

His eyes left the card and went to hers and he wore a naughty smile, licking his lower lip.

"Come closer". He beckoned on her to move closer to him which she found strange but did anyway to satisfy a customer on her first day at work.

She leaned in closer to him as though he wanted to whisper something to her, but instead he began sniffing her.

She jolted back in shock.

"Adjussi!". (A formal word for a middle-aged man/stranger).

"Relax". He said to her smiling.

"I'll give you anything you want if you agree to spend a night with me".

She looked at him in horror and disgust.

"Adjussi!". She repeated..

"Ah, don't be like that, you're not a kid anymore right?". He said, taking her hands and handing over an envelope which contained a huge sum of money.

She could tell just by feeling it.

A feeling of sheer rage began burning inside her and she slapped him with the envelope.

"How dare you?!".

They attracted the other customers attention and they watched in awe.

She turned to leave in anger but he grabbed her arm and wanted pulling her back.

"You little bitch! Come back...."

He couldn't finish his statement as he was judo flipped in an instant and he was laying on the floor, his face touching the floor.

She stepped on his head, trying to crush his face.

Loud gasps filled the room.

"Yah! What do you think you're doing to the customer?!". Her boss yelled from the counter and rushed to the scene.

Her head was lowered as she stood in front of her father.

"What will I do with you?". He watched her in disappointment.

"You got fired on your first day at work? What are you?".

"Mi-an-hae, Appa (I'm sorry, dad)". She apologized.

"Why did you beat up a customer?".

"He harassed me dad".

"What are you saying?". He scoffed.

"He asked me to..."

"Enough Lisa, you're always causing trouble wherever you go....that's it! No work for you and no school also, this marks the end of your education".

"Dad...no! I'm sorry, I really am, please". She went on her knees pleading.

"What more can I do for you? You'll just end up disappointing me again". He said.

"Please, one last time, I beg you dad".

"Just get up already, nothing's going to change, you should accept your fate". Mrs Kang said, coming downstairs as she overheard them.

"Umma, please beg him... please just one last time". She begged.

"I tried Lisa, he's not going to change his mind". Her mother replied.

"Of course you did". Lisa said in sarcasm as she got to her feet.

"All you ever did was bad-mouth me to my father..." She rolled up her hair into a messy bun and stormed out of the house.

"Fuck all of you". She murmured.

“What's up homie?”. A guy walked up to Lisa who was sitting outside a restaurant, gulping down a bottle of Soju.

"Hey". She murmured back.

"What's wrong? You look devastated".

"I'm good". She lied and gave him a fist bump.

"What have you been up to?". She asked.

"Nothing much...just me and my gang wrecking the train station...you should've seen the look on those officers faces". He chuckled.

She stifled a laughter.

"You bad boy".

"Look who's calling me bad...you wrecked a whole school".

She almost choked on her drink.

"How did you know I did that?".

"Hey C'mon don't worry, I won't rat you out...you're my man okay?". He patted her shoulder.

"You designed Optimus prime on almost all the walls and you're the only one who goes by that name".

She smiled... "Oh that's how you knew".

She glanced at the magazine he was holding.

"What's that?".

"Oh..this" He opened it and showed her..

"I was taking a look at the school's advert."

"Which school?".

"Seoul's boys high...you know, the one every guy wishes to attend?". He replied.

"Let me see". She collected it and flipped through the pages.

"So, you wanna attend the school?".

"I wish, I really want to go back to school. There's a scholarship exams coming up and if I pass, the school will take care of my tuition and other fees, isn't that cool?".

"Yeah..yeah". She said and read the scholarship details.

She sighed and closed the magazine..

"How lucky you are...you're a boy and your chances of passing the exams are high".

"Sigh...sigh unlike someone like me, no school wants to take me in coz I'm the bad child that no parent wants their children to be, I'm the worst student in our city.

"What are you talking about? You're cool Lisa". He said to her.

"To you yeah...to others I'm a disaster". She ran her fingers through her hair.

Just then a naughty thought crossed her mind.

"Unless..". She turned to face him with a huge grin.

"Unless what?". He asked.

"I take the scholarship exams and pass".

"Are you kidding me? You don't look like it but you're clearly a girl". He said.

"What do you mean by I don't look like it?". She pouted.

"Whatever, you don't get my point...I'm only a girl on the inside, on the outside, you'll have to look twice before you believe I'm a girl right? I've got a plan!". She clapped.

"You're nuts". He muttered.

"Just tell me the date, time and location for the exams".

"Okayyy?". He said unsure.

It's another boring morning and I rolled out of bed grumbling to myself.

The room was so uncomfortably hot and I rushed to open the window.

"Another day to dine in the dirt". I murmured out loud.

I walked to my desk to grab my phone.

I really need to pass the current level I was, at the transformers game.

Transformers: war for Cybertron.

I snickered as I turned on my phone, excited for the game.

Yeah... that's how I live my life, I'm obsessed with the transformers.

I had one unread message and no missed call.

"Who sent me a text?". I mused as I clicked on the message.

My eyes went wide as I read the message and my hands trembled.

"Igeo mwoeyo? (What's this?)". I gasped out and read it again.

'Congratulations Master Kang Luca, you've been chosen as the scholarship student of the year'.

I checked the sender's details..

It read...'Seoul's boys high'.

I gulped down and continued reading.

For further information, you're invited to come converse with the vice principal'.

I gulped down again as realization dawned on me.

"I...I was picked?".

"I was picked amongst a thousand students?".

"I...I'm not even a boy...why did I write the exam?".

"Ahhhh jjinja Eeoteokke??? (What should I do?)".

I closed my eyes and opened them again, then stared at the screen of my phone.

"I'm not dreaming!".
