At first, Edward and Anna married for love, but Edward's attitude changed drastically when a third person appeared at their marriage. Edward's ex, Audrey, returns to steal Edward's love from Anna. Audrey's trickery managed to persuade Edward to dump Anna violently. A divorce paper was provided by Edward to Anna, signaling their separation after three years of marriage. Anna walked out of Edward's life and lived a peaceful life alone, unlike Edward, who felt restless and lonely despite having Audrey by his side. After months of separation from Anna, Edward became increasingly lonely beyond description. Audrey couldn't fill the hole in his heart; only Anna could. Edward was determined to reach Anna and bring her back, although it would be difficult to achieve because Anna's feelings for Edward weren't love anymore but a grudge. Can Edward pay for his mistakes by bringing Anna back to his heart?

Chapter 1 He Want Divorce

"Are you ready, darling?" Anna Harvey walked gracefully out of the elevator doors with her beautiful maroon dress flowing, making her appearance charming tonight.

There was a reason Anna dressed so beautifully, one of which was because of a party invitation from her husband's business partner.

Anna's husband, Edward Harvey, was an outstanding businessman. He became the most powerful businessman in the country when he was only 25 years old.

The two married for love, a sweet start for Anna as she got a rare glimpse of what heaven looks like and the luxury and attention of Edward.

Seeing such treatment, Anna initially thought there would be no problems in her marriage.

However, their three-year-old marriage began to struggle with many problems. Edward, a soft-spoken and caring man, had become temperamental and cold-hearted over the past few months.

Anna had no idea and still thinks positively that Edward's change in attitude might be due to his tiring work. However, Edward's business had strangely increased in those months.

"You're sluggish!" groaned Edward, looking back with irritation.

"I'm sorry. I have a few important makeups to—"

"You're disgusting! It makes me sick even when you cover your face with that powder." Edward began to berate Anna, saying his wife was no better than the women out there.

Anna was shocked to hear that, with her eyes rounded and glazed over like she was holding back tears.

She lowered her head, clenching her palms tightly as she gritted her teeth. She tried to bear the pain and was reluctant to show her sadness before others.

Edward stepped away from the place, leaving Anna standing frozen in grief with visibly trembling shoulders, "If it wasn't for my friend's request, I wouldn't have taken you there. Do you get it?"

Anna took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. She raised her head and looked at Edward with a forced smile.

"I understand, darling." Anna continued to stop her tears from falling. She didn't want to look weak before everyone and still show Edward's family was okay.

Although Anna always received abusive remarks from her husband, the woman still tried to maintain her husband's prestige by being calm and elegant.

The servants at Edward's residence felt sorry for Anna's condition. They wanted to help but didn't know how to help.

The two left the place to reach the party of Edward's friend Julius. It wasn't so far that the party lights of the man's house could be seen clearly.

There was no serious talk between them. Anna was reluctant to say anything, afraid that Edward would be even more angry, while Edward didn't want to say a word because his heart was so fed up watching the woman's face.

The short trip on the mercy car ended when the two arrived at the party location, Julius' house, which had three floors. Edward and Anna's arrival became the centre of attention, as Julias was Edward's best friend.

"Don't embarrass me with your fucking behaviour!" threatened Edward, pointing rudely at Anna sitting next to him.

Anna nodded in a low voice, "I'll watch my manners."

The two started to get out of the car, greeting the people and applauding them with a waving hand. Edward and Anna smiled broadly, as if nothing had happened to them.

Julius came out from inside the house, a tall man with greyish-white hair and fair skin greeting his friend, Edward.

At first glance, Julius and Edward were as handsome as each other, except Edward's physique was quite muscular with neatly combed black hair.

"I thought you weren't coming. Where's Anna?" asked Julis.

Edward looked back, looking at Anna, who walked majestically on the red carpet provided by Julius for his guests. Julius seemed to shake Anna's hand, and Anna kindly welcomed Julius' hand.

"Come on in. They're waiting for you," Julis pleaded.

Edward walked first, stepping quickly and leaving Anna, who had difficulty walking due to her maroon dress. Until Julius and Edward arrived at a garden in the area of the house, a shady garden with many people partying in it.

"Thank you. I'm glad I could come here and greet you all. As Julius said, you guys better start partying so well that you forget to come home!" Edward shouted, immediately getting a cheerful response from the people.

They were not only Edward's business colleagues and friends; most people in that place were members of the mafia group Edward had secretly formed a year ago. The mafia's name was Brotherhood of Anarchy.

The mafia's business mainly was selling illegal weapons to low-level criminals, and they often negotiated with other mafia groups to survive.

But when it comes to power in this country, Edward's mafia group is the most powerful.

Realizing this, Anna actually could mobilize the mafia, but Anna couldn't do it. She was reluctant to make Edward hate her even more.

They all partied endlessly, drinking and making out all night until many of them had no time to go home.

After five hours of partying, Anna got separated from Edward in the crowd until she had many conversations with Julius. Compared to Edward's current demeanour, Julius was caring and understanding towards Anna.

Julius noticed Anna's innocent eyes glancing everywhere, trying to figure out where her husband was. Julius smiled broadly, reaching his right hand forward.

"Are you looking for him?" Julius asked.

"Yes. It's getting late. Edward and I need to go home." Anna looked worried, with rounded eyes staring at Julius standing before her. Julius cleared his throat softly. He said clearly he could lead Anna to meet Edward.

Anna was confused. Why did she need to be escorted? Couldn't Julius call him over? But Anna's hand had already been clasped by Julius. Julius' gentle treatment when leading Anna away calmed her heart.

They stepped into a house, walking up the stairs until Anna felt scared and asked to go home, "Where are you taking me?!"

"You said you wanted to see Edward? I'll take you to him."

"But why is he in—"

Anna's words were cut short when she heard a faint, mysterious sound at one of the doors on the corridor floor. She looked forward, watching the wooden doors close as if they were hiding what was inside.

"What's that sound?" asked Anna, startled.

"Damn. They've started without me," complained Julius, clucking his tongue.

He kept a firm grip on Anna's hand, and Julius could feel that Anna's hand was shaking with cold sweat running down her palm.

The grey-white-haired man smiled, guessing that Anna was thinking wildly about her husband's behaviour here.

"He always uses this room." Julis stopped before the wooden door, turned around and showed Anna the door.

Anna swallowed her saliva quickly, her heart beating wildly with her hands shaking violently, trying to reach the doorknob.

The quieter it got between Julius and Anna, the louder the moaning sounds coming from inside the door. Julius crossed his arms, keeping his eyes on Anna, who was going through an inner turmoil in her heart.

In one breath, Anna opened the door firmly to the inside. Her head exploded with a broken heart, tears flooding her face that she had been holding back.

Anna fell to the floor to see Edward with another woman in the room, naked and sweating heavily.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!" screamed Anna.

Anna knew who she was. She was Edward's ex, who worked as Edward's secretary, Audrey White. Audrey looked shocked and pushed Edward, who was on top of her, while Edward stayed silent with a cold expression.

"Did Julius bring you here?" asked Edward, striding unclothed with a muscular and hard body.

Edward strode confidently towards Anna, the smell of their sweat making Anna even more furious to the point of trying to hit Edward when he was already in front of her.

"YOU BASTARD!" cried Anna.

Anna's husband parried and gripped Anna's wrist firmly. Edward's hand strength certainly couldn't compare to Anna's, " Whatever. I hate you, after all, Anna."

Julius came out from behind the door, causing Edward and Audrey's attention to be drawn to the man, "She's your wife. How can you hate her, Edward?"

"Not anymore." Edward looked back at Anna before him, pulling her hand until Anna's frightened face was clearly visible in Edward's eyes, "I'm going to divorce you, Anna."
