"Your wife is not pregnant, Mr. Javier," confirmed the doctor who looked at Amelie. He just clenched his fist. He didn't know what to feel first. Whether it's the pain that he probably doesn't have a child, that he won't really be a father, or the anger he feels for Amelie's cheating on him. It looks stupid to him. Easy to fool and fool. It can easily be rotated in its hands. He didn't think Amelie would trick him into such a thing. 'Where is his heart to make him hope that they will have children? He was beyond happy when he found out she was pregnant. He removed the barrier between them because he wanted to fix their marriage. "Toll." His older brother put his arms around him and squeezed his shoulders tightly. He knows that he feels sorry for him, even Amelie's mommy feels sorry for him. Poor him. In everyone's eyes, Amelie made him miserable. Anger rose in his chest. He tried to think about what he had done wrong to Amelie and why he had to deceive her again and again. He loved it. He confessed even though there was still doubt in his heart if he really loved her. But now, he guessed not. Amelie did not love or be loved by him. It loved no one but itself. It cannot love others. She is nothing but a selfish scheming bitch. "Tristan, son . . ." "I'm fine," he answered, trying to steady his voice. He also tried to hold back the tears that wanted to break out. "Could you let us talk to Amelie first?" he asked his mother. Amelie looked at him who was in a corner. Her brother and Amelie's mother looked at each other before she sighed and nodded. "But please don't hurt her," Amelie's mother pleaded softly. He wants to laugh. Hurt her? If he could, he wanted to hurt her but he couldn't. Because even though he was very angry that he cheated on him, he couldn't hurt him physically. He just nodded slowly. He stared at her for a moment before leaving with Travis. He looked at Amelie who was stunned in her position. His lips are swollen and cracked. There is a scratch on his neck and his hair is messed up because of his mommy's hurt. He walked to where Amelie was. Even its arms also have scratches. He averted his eyes there. He tried to force it into his mind that they were still missing. "T-Tristan . . ." "Don't," he firmly stopped her when he tried to touch her. "Don't fucking touch me." He withdrew his hand and immediately burst into tears. "I He took a deep breath to ease his breathing. He shook his head. He couldn't speak properly because of his anger. His fingernails almost dug into his palm because of his clenched fist. "I wanted to ask why you did that but. . ." He laughed sarcastically. "I remember how much conniving you are." He shook his head. "You can't love anyone but yourself." "That's not true, I love you—" "B*llsh*t! You didn't love me. Tangina, Amelie . . . you didn't love me because love isn't like that. You tricked me, you made me look like a fool with your lies. What? Are you kidding me while you see how excited I am that we're going to have a baby? Are you so happy when I'm hoping that we're going to have a baby, but it's fake?!" He grabbed his arm. "I wish you didn't love me anymore . . . I wish you'd just keep your love to yourself and stop feeling sorry for me. I hate you, Amelie. I fuck*ng hate the hell out of you!" he said emphatically and let go of her arm. He glanced at the ring on her finger. Their wedding ring and the engagement ring he gave her. He grabbed her hand and without saying anything took off the ring and then threw it in the trash. He also took off his and did the same. He turned his back and did not look at Amelie. He doesn't care about it anymore. He left the clinic. He saw his mommy and daddy outside, Tere was with them. They are talking to Travis and Amelie's mommy. It seems that the two of them explained what happened. The first to come to him was his mommy. They are full of tears. "I'm sorry, son," he said and hugged her tightly. He hugged his mommy and fell on her shoulder then he didn't care to cry there. He poured his tears and pain into his mother's arms. He was no longer embarrassed if he was like a crying child. He can't handle the pain. Because it's not just his son that he has to accept that he lost. But also Amelie. He needed to let her go if he didn't want her to lose her head with all the pain he was going to give her. Amelie was stunned by what Tristan did. He couldn't move where he was. He had already left but he couldn't look back at her because his eyes were focused on the trash where she had thrown their rings. He forced his feet to step closer to the trash can. He knelt before it. It had various contents but he did not feel disgusted. He rummaged through the trash to find the rings. He was struggling not only because they were small but because his eyes were blurry from tears. Some people approached his hospital staff to stop him from spreading but he did not listen. His life seemed to depend on finding the rings. Even though they forced him to stand

Chapter 1 Pretending

Chapter 1

He Falls on the bed, face first. That's when his dream was cut short. Too bad he could have kissed Tristan when he fell on the bed. Really sweaty!

In his dream, Tristan was still hanging.

Annoyed, he just rubbed the hurt look. At the same time, there was a loud knock on his door.

"Amelie! Amelie, wake up. Your mom texted, she's on her way!" Manang Josie shouted outside the door of her room.

He just moaned. He still wants to go back to sleep in case his dream is connected.

"Amelie!" shouted the old servant again.

"Yes! I'm awake!" he also shouted back, because he wouldn't stop shouting outside his room until he made sure that she was awake.

"Faster!" it's still here.

"Oh!" he answered only for Manang Josie to stop him then he scrambled to stand up. He stretched his body first before heading to the bathroom.

He quickly showered and dressed. She was drying her hair with the blower when her brother entered the room.

"Aunt is already there, Amelie, hurry," he said.

"Yes, just a moment!" he said. Because he can't let his hair be wet before he leaves the house. Because her hair is porous unlike Sunny who is her half sister—when it is not dried and put on baby oil, her hair will stick out like wires. Sunny is better, inherited their daddy's hair. Fall and straight. Even though he just woke up, his hair is still beautiful.

"Why don't you rebond?" he asked her watching her work.

"On vacation. Daddy doesn't want to give me money so I'm still saving," he answered.

They are not poor. They are rich. His daddy is also not stingy when it comes to their siblings, the case is that his mommy agreed to have him rebonded after all he is fifteen. As expected, his daddy objected.

He just sighed. He feels that his mommy is really the one who doesn't want him to rebond so she agrees even though his daddy opposes it. This is where he inherited his hair. And in fairness to her mommy, her hair suits her.

Because she was born beautiful! He drove. His mommy is beautiful. Its small heart shaped face accommodates thin lips, a pointed nose, and almond-shaped eyes that are complemented by long eyelashes and naturally arched eyebrows.

As for her, she is the opposite of her mommy. He got his mommy's eyes while his nose and mouth are his daddy's. And like them, the parts of her face don't match so she's out of the category of beautiful people.

"Bad trip!" he whined and hurriedly tied his hair when he heard his mommy honking.

Sunny laughed at him, but he ignored it. He will only be more bad-tripped when he sees that even if he doesn't put as much effort as he does, he's still beautiful.

He picked up the bag and quickly ran downstairs. He even met his stepmother.

"Slowly!" rebuke it.

"Sorry, Aunt!" he apologized and continued to descend.

"Go through the kitchen, your daddy is there. He also has a sandwich!" he said and continued to go upstairs.

He went to the dining room. 'His daddy is there, reading the newspaper while having coffee.

He kissed her cheek and took a sandwich from the table.

"Morning, princess," he said.

"Morning, Daddy!" he greeted back here. He winced a bit because he forgot to greet her.

"Your mommy is already there," his daddy said with a snort. His daddy always seems to smell bad when his mommy is around.

"Yes. I'm leaving, Dad!" he shouted and continued outside.

His mommy was bored when he got into the car. Today is Saturday, that's why he will be staying at his mommy's condo.

"Why did it take you so long?"

"You're early, 'My!" he said and bent down to kiss her cheek.

"Oh my God, Amelie! Your mouth is sticky!" its complaint. His eyes were still wide as if you thought he smeared him with shit.

He just giggled.

His mommy took wipes from his bag and immediately wiped his cheeks before finally driving. They were now going to his grandmother's house—his mommy's mommy. He stays there every Saturday and Sunday. And that only means that he will see Tristan again. Tristan's house is just opposite his grandmother's house and he can go in and out freely because of his mommy who is very happy with him.

In just ten minutes they were opposite his grandmother's house. Even before his mom stopped, he took off his seatbelt. When he stopped, he hurriedly got down carrying his backpack and ran into the house, he didn't pay attention to his mom who was yelling at him furiously because of what he did.

"Grandma!" he called his grandmother loudly as soon as he entered the door.

He came out of the kitchen with a spoon in his hand.

"Oh, did you have lunch?" he asked smiling at her.

He approached her, shook her hand and then kissed her on the cheek.

"How come your grandson is awake at noon!" said his mommy. He also approached his grandmother and gave a hand. "I'm leaving, Mom. George is waiting for me," he said, referring to his new wife.

"Aren't you going to eat here first?" his grandmother asked his mommy. "Your father is coming, why don't you wait?"

"Eh, George and I have something to talk about. We'll just have dinner here," he promised his grandmother and then kissed her again before looking back at her. "Don't be stubborn here, huh? Don't wander around," he told her, which she quickly answered.

He's not a wanderer, eh. He was hanging out right there on the other side.

"'La, I'm just over there." He turned to his grandmother when his mommy left, he even peeked through the window to make sure she was gone.

"Get dressed before you go next door," said his grandmother and returned to the kitchen.

He just took off his shoes and changed into slippers and hurried out of his grandmother's house.

He crossed and went towards them. At Tristan's house. Here's his heart again, beating faster as he approaches their gate.

He saw Melba, Tristan's assistant. He immediately greeted her.

"Hi, Sister Melba!"

"Oh, Amelie, was it noon when you went up wild today?" he asked her making her giggle. He knows that he has a crush on Tristan and simply helps him so that he can always catch up with Tristan at their house.

"Is Aunt there?" he asked here.

"Just Sister?" it tempts him with a grin.

"You're so cute," he said, making her laugh. "Of course, my future is with me," he said and also grinned at this.

"Hantaray! The question is, are you willing to be my pet's future?" He waved at her, holding his broomstick in one hand.

It was difficult for him to answer here. He also knows that Tristan will vaguely like him. There are so many people who like Tristan, almost everyone in their batch likes him.

"I'm going in, Sister Melba!" he said and took the initiative to open the small gate and then went inside.

Sister Melba answered him with a loud laugh.

Tristan's house is a bungalow, but it is one of the biggest houses in their area. There is a swimming pool on the side and a garden in the back.

Tristan's daddy is an engineer while his mommy is a plain housewife.

"Oh, you're here again?" said Travis, Tristan's older brother. He was wearing a jersey and shorts.

He leaned in and tried to be cute.

"Yes, brother, I'm here again," he said and still closed his eyes.

His laughter was loud and messed up his hair.

"You're funny," he said, obviously comforting. "Your crush is in the swimming pool. Go, get drunk!" he whispered to her with a mischievous smile on his lips.

His cheeks immediately warmed up.

"You're a bitch!" He pretended to be annoyed, but in reality his feet were itching to go to the swimming pool. "Aunt brought me here."

"Gosh, you're pretending to be!" he laughed and passed him.

"That's really annoying!" he frowned and went straight to the kitchen of the house. He felt at home when he went there.

"Hi Auntie!" he greeted Tristan's mommy who was sitting at the dining table. She is wearing a pink pastel dress and a red apron. Her hair is in a ponytail and a few strands are scattered around the nape of her neck.

He couldn't help but admire Aunt Bianca. He looks like an angel, his face is very gentle, his voice is the same.

Sometimes he wishes he could be his mommy.

"Hello, Amelie!" He looked at her with a smile while still busy with what he was doing.

He came next to her and was curious about what she was doing.

"What is that, Aunt?" he asked curiously. There are sliced bananas, sweet potatoes, and cassava. There is also a cup of sago. In front of it is ground sticky rice. It is cut into pieces and rounded then placed on a tray.

"Tangled?!" he asked with wide eyes, suddenly excited.

" he answered with a smile.

"Can I help?" He still has puppy eyes here. He smiled and nodded.

"Wash your hands first," he said.

He quickly went to the sink and washed his hands then returned to the dining table. He already helped round the sticky rice.

He is happy when he comes here, because apart from seeing Tristan up close, he enjoys bonding with Aunt Bianca. He often teaches her to cook, sometimes he helps her in the garden and cleaning their house.

The day goes by that he is tailing the lady when he is here. He also knows a lot about Tristan because of it.

He knows that she knows that he likes Tristan, because sometimes he intentionally tells her about Tristan.

He couldn't help but think that she might also want him as a son-in-law. He shuddered when he thought about it.

"My!" Tristan called to his mother as she entered the kitchen.

He stopped circling the stick and fixed his gaze on Tristan.

It's wet because it's from the pool. He is wearing only board shorts and no top. He didn't know why he couldn't take his eyes off Tristan's body when he was used to seeing him naked even when they were kids.

He noticed that Tristan's body expanded a bit. His shoulders are gaining muscle and he has abs! When did it grow there? He does not know. He didn't notice. Just now and he couldn't take his eyes off it.

"What are you doing, Tristan? You just got wet with Melba's mop!" Aunt Bianca is hostile to this.

Tristan scratched his forehead and grinned.

Wow, it's like his heart is going to come out of his ribcage because of that smile. He only wished that it was for him because Triatan didn't seem to see him. He didn't even glance at her even though she was next to his mommy.

It's always like that, he's just like the wind in front of it. Unlike when they were in elementary school, he always noticed her. Because he is his favorite bully along with his cousins and their friends.

"I'm just going to get Drake and I juice," he said.

"It's me! I'll just take it there. Go ahead, get out and maybe the floor will flood even more."

"Thank you, 'My," said Tristan and turned away.

He was left speechless. He didn't really glance at her even a little while since he entered the kitchen he never lost sight of her.

"Amelie, can you take it to the pool?" Aunt Bianca woke him up.

He is already putting a pitcher of orange juice from the fridge and glasses on a tray.

"Yes!"

He went to the sink to wash his hands again. He simply combed his hair that was tied so that his standing hairs came down.

"It's mine," he said and took the tray with juice from the dining table.

"Can you do it? Or should I just call Melba?"

"No. Don't. I can do it," he assured her.

He picked up the tray and left the dining room to take the juice to the pool.

He was still far away when he heard splashes of water and laughter. He took a deep breath before going out. Drake, Bench, Carlo, Justin, Eve, and . . . Sunny.

He frowned, he didn't know that his brother would come here. He was sitting on the edge of the pool with his feet in the water. Tristan was in front of him with half of his body submerged in the water and looking up at his brother while they were laughing.

The smile disappeared from his lips. He looked like a statue while looking at the two. He even got over being trampled on the chest. Sunny was wearing yellow short shorts and a white t-shirt, her sister's black bra was scratched because her clothes were wet.

"Hey, finally!" He was even more surprised when Drake stood in front of him and poured juice into the glass.

He tilted his head to look at Sunny and Tristan again, but Drake tilted his head as well and imitated him.

He frowned at this. Obviously annoyed again.

"Hey, Amelie, you're getting better," he said with a smile.

Even though he knew that Drake was just tripping him, he couldn't help but blush. It's not every day someone tells her she's beautiful, even if it's just a joke.

He accepted that she was not beautiful. Every day he reflects!

He smiled at Drake even though he often wanted to erase his face because he was one of the strongest Alaskan men in him.

"Little thing," he said while tucking a hair behind his ear.

Drake's laugh was so loud that he almost choked on what he was drinking.

"The boat!" It almost killed me laughing. They got the attention of others. Bench approached them accompanied by Justin. "Hey guys, Amelie is joking, oh! What's that again, Amelie?" Drake turned to her with bright eyes, delighted with her.

"I don't know about you, crazy!" he said here and ignored it.

The three laughed. Justin and Bench got juice. When they turned away from him, he then walked to the edge of the pool where the wrought iron table where their towels were placed. He put the drink tray down there and then turned around when he bumped into the man behind him.

He heard loud laughter after he bumped into Drake's chest and lost his balance and fell into the pool.

He was gasping for breath. The water was up to his neck so even if he didn't know how to swim he wouldn't drown, the case was, his eyes widened when he felt a sudden pain in his leg going up to his thigh. Makes him cringe!

He was in so much pain that he sank into the water and struggled to lift himself up. He also swallowed water which made it even more difficult for him to come up.

"Help!" he asked for help from those on the edge of the pool when he was finally able to raise his head, but he immediately sank as he writhed in pain again. The pain went up his thigh.

Even under the water he could hear them laughing. Maybe they think he's joking or maybe no one really cares even though he's struggling. He almost cried because of the pain of his spasm and also because he can drink water. Until he completely sank and couldn't get out.

He was struggling to breathe and he knew that he would run out of air in just a few moments. He wanted to stand up and walk his legs to lift his head and get some air, but he couldn't. He was already crying if you could do it under water. He called his father in his mind to help him, but he knew he wouldn't hear him.

He's going to die. . . he was too young to die. He was about to close his eyes when an arm wrapped around his neck and pulled him up before he ran out of air.

He let out a loud gasp as he gasped for air. He coughed and he could hardly breathe because the water he drank was also coming out of his nose. He felt someone pull him into the pool and lay him on the side. Her vision was blurry and she was dazzled by the light, but something blocked that lightTristan's worried face.

Tristan...
