It was the night before our wedding day, I dreamt of this exact day to be perfect, but it was far from being perfect, when I over heard my soon to be my mother in-law talking to Dukes sister. What are they plotting this time. “If Duke plays his part, this will be a great opportunity for us!” “Yes it would be and let’s not try hide the fact that we only liked her because how rich she is!” “A spoiled brat, will never see it coming, always have to be so nice to her, little does she know that Duke is only marrying her for her money.!” And this point I have stopped listening but found myself frozen, mixed emotions started brewing within me .. how can Duke says he loves me and treated me really well, when all this was fake? All I wanted was to be loved, not because of my wealthy background… I sat there before retiring to my room, I started thinking of all the good things Duke has done for me, or was all that a lie as well. Was he lying to like and love my parents and my little brother. Did he like to me saying he loved me? Did he lie to me saying that, I’m the only apple in his eye? Questions were swimming in and I’m left with doubt and emptiness .. how could he , I loved him soo much, how could he do this to me ..
