He met my mother few months later, they became friends and realizing that they were from the same locality, they eventually got married. The rest is history. I hail from a village called Ile ilee and look forward to going there often but my parents are so busy and hence can't take us there as often as I wished. By the way, my dad is an engineer and my mother is an accountant. I was born to only meet my paternal grandmother as the others had passed on unfortunately before I was born.

My grandmother is a very beautiful and strong lady, she's very skilful. She is a good hairstylist and makes different kinds of hair dos for me whenever we go to the village. Whenever my grandma makes my hair, I become a cynosure in the eyes of many people, they give me great compliments, pleasing looks and long stares it's no different when we get back to the city. I live in a city called savannah a large city surrounded by beautiful buildings both commercial and residential. I live in a bungalow with my parents and siblings. I'm the first of the three kids.

My grandmother dotes so much on me. Today we are at the village and going to see my grandmother. I can't wait to see mama after a long time.

Ha! Omolabake, Ajike, Omo koyin, Kikelomo, Ayanfemi, my Jewel, grandmother rains praises on me. It's been so long that I saw you, she tells me giving me a tight squeeze in the process of hugging me, hey easy o, I jokingly tell her, as I don't want to become a squashed fruit. Lol! "I've made your favorite dish, grandmother tells me "Ikokore and Shawa fish. Grandmother knows that I love eating this particular porridge meal of water yams and other ingredients when we come to the village. Ha! Grandma you're simply the best and I'll always have your back, I tell her. Grandma looks at me and laughs because she is amused by what I said as I'm also amused by all her funny anecdotes she calls me. All in all I adore my grandmother.

There's another person who is also dear to my heart, my best friend in the city, Feyikemi, FK for short. There's a sad part about my best friend, she's sick. Yes! My best friend, a beautiful and amazing girl is down with sickle cell. This sickness disturbs her often, she's always having 'crisis' as the period of intense pain in the body of a sickler as sickle cell victims are called. My utmost prayer for FK is that she'll get well but scientists say that the disease can't be cured but managed. Hmm! Does it mean that my friend will never get well and be bubbly again? Time will tell as I await this miracle. Grandma has a story to tell me as I share my pain with her.
