Calista worked for the CEO as his personal assistant and in the process gets close to him. Romantic feelings began to bloom in her heart but her feelings were never returned
She stood at the balcony watching the activities of the people below as she tried to let out some steam from the huge argument she just had with Lucas.
"Calista" she heard someone call from behind in a deep yet soft voice. It was Lucas. He had the same cold and expressionless face as always but for some reason it didn't weaken her anymore instead it made her even more angry to know that he wasn't affected by the fight.
He began walking towards her and she tightened her grip on the rail ; then she let go. As she came closer, Lucas thought she was coming to meet him so he freed himself a bit then to his surprise, she passed him.
CALISTA'S POV:
As I left the room, I realized I had been holding my breath. I still can't believe I did that and I can't also believe it was all in my head.
FLASHBACK:
TWO YEARS AGO
It was another day after work and Calista was packing up for the day when the rain started to pour " no, no, not now please" she said to herself as she quickly gathered the rest of the documents on the table. She ran across the long empty hallway and realized she was the only one left in the building.
The only thing that was heard was the echoes from her heels on the tiled floors then as she finally reached the last floor, her heart sank. It was already way too dark outside and the cold wind pierced through her skin as the rain poured down continuously.
Left with no other option, she made her way back up the stairs. She had never slept in the office but it seemed today she had no choice. As she reached her office, she looked at the wall clock, "past twelve" she said and slumped back into her chair. She decided to pass the time with work but as she looked at the heap of documents beside her, another thought ran through her mind to explore the rest of the building. She had never gone beyond the second floor where her office was located so she chose to use the opportunity.
