ARIA
As the princess of the Moonlight Shadows pack, I've lived my life beautifully, being showered with love from both my people and my parents.
My parents, both Alpha and Luna of the pack, showed their care for me, their beloved daughter, and how much they value me deeply.
They made plans for my birthday, which is in three days, planning a special ceremony just for me.
"You aren't getting a hint of what is taking place that day."
"I know it's my birthday, so it's no biggie," I said, burying myself in my parent's embrace.
"Yes, it is, but it's more than just your day. It's a new transformation for you, Aria." Father kissed me on the forehead.
They have been saying that to me for some days now, and I've been looking forward to my big day.
I want to know what they have for me.
But everything changed that night.
Right in the middle of the night, our pack was attacked. The cries of war came, alerting us all and bringing us out of our dream world.
"Alpha! The rogues are trooping into the pack and attacking our people!" The beta had alerted my father.
"Get the guards now! Don't allow them anywhere near the pack homes!" The father yelled, storming out with the guards to help the people.
I felt terrified upon seeing and hearing the noises coming from outside my home. I stood beside my mother, shivering to the core.
"Aria, come with me," Mom said, pulling me back into my room. We both stood in the corner, getting scared.
The sound of the rogues attacking kept increasing. They're getting closer to my home. My mom worriedly placed me closer to my bed, suggesting I stay down and hide.
"What about father?" I asked, getting scared.
He's outside with the guards, fighting off those nasty rogues.
"Your father will be fine. You just..."
BANG! The sound of a door falling came in, sending my heart racing.
"They are here," Mom said, gasping out.
Indeed, the rogues are in my home. I could hear them yelling out, fighting with the guards inside.
This terrified my mom and me. We can't escape them.
Why is this happening to us?
"Aria, come!" Mom yelled, grabbing me by the hand.
She quickly rushed out of the room with me, giving me a clear view of the horrible fighting taking place in my home.
Mighty wolves from the rogue's side attacked the guards, ripping bodies apart like they were nothing.
I felt chills run down my spine when I saw one of the rogues looking my way. It saw Mom and me.
"Mom! " I alerted her quickly upon seeing the wolf coming.
Mom quickly ran with me, pushing me ahead of her. "Keep running!" She yelled at me from behind.
I did as she said; I ran with speed, but I couldn't head straight without looking back to see my mother.
The wolf almost pounced on Mom, but Father swam in with speed, cutting off the head of the wolf with his sword.
"RUN!" He yelled at us as Mom and I ran further.
I took a look back and saw how the rogues attacked my father, fighting with him intensely.
And before my eyes, I saw one of the rogues stabbing his father right in the chest with his sword.
I gasped in horror, screaming at the top of my voice, "Father!"
My mom pulled me into her room, closing the door with speed.
"Get those things here," she ordered, grabbing most of the furniture to block the door.
Joining her in doing so, I could see pain in my mother's eyes. Her husband was just killed before her eyes, and she couldn't do anything.
Even I couldn't help.
How I wish I had my wolf.
Once we had the door blocked, Mom rushed to the closet, taking out a sword.
"Mom? Don't tell me you're going out to fight." I asked, getting worried about seeing how she gazed at the weapon.
But when I looked closely, I recognized the weapon in my mother's hold. It's the energy sword Father has been protecting.
Does she want to use it?
But I was surprised when she handed the sword over to me instead.
What is she doing?
"Aria, there's not much time. Take this sword with you. It belongs to you," she said.
I was about to ask what she meant when a banging sound came on the door. The rogues are trying to get in.
"Your father and I wanted to gift this to you on your birthday. This is the energy gate to unlocking your true powers. Take it and run!"
She dragged me towards the window, opening it wide and pushing me through.
"Mom, don't leave me alone. You have to come with me," I said, falling out through the window when Mom gave me a push.
I quickly pulled myself off the ground to look at Mom, only to see a sword going through her chest, just like a father.
"MOM!" I screamed upon seeing this.
"Go, Aria. GO!" she yelled.
My world, my home... Everything has been taken from me in one night.
I immediately turned back and made a run for it, hearing the rogues yelling out to the others to get me.
But I can't allow them to get me, no matter what.
I ran with speed, holding the sword closer to my chest and making my pace into the forest.
I could hear the rogues coming after me. Their footsteps were drawing nearer and faster.
I ran with speed, trying my best not to be caught, as I distanced myself from my fallen pack.
"She went that way!" I heard it from far behind me.
My feet kept running through the woods, with no hint of where exactly I was heading. But all I know is that I'm running for my dear life.
"I hope wherever I'm running, I'm going to find help and peace away from these monsters," I prayed, running with the heavy sword.
My heart sank deeply as I thought of my parents. They have been taken before my eyes, leaving me behind.
"Mom, Dad," I cried, running fast.
Suddenly, I accidentally tripped on something hard, falling to the ground, with my head coming into contact with a rock.
I lay on the floor weak. My sword was beside me as my blood came drooling into my view.
"Go that way! She can't be far."
I heard while slowly losing consciousness.
Will they get me?
