DEADLY KISS Chapter 1 HURTFUL NIGHTMARE

THEME : HURTFUL NIGHTMARE

LOCATION: LENA'S APARTMENT (3:00 AM)

Please, please, please don't do this to me!" Lena begged, her voice shaking with fear. "I will do anything, just please don't hurt me."

"Shut up," the masked man said "You've had your chance to beg, now it's time for you to pay the price."

"Please, just let her go," Her mother begged, tears streaming down her face. "She has nothing to do with this.

The masked man's eyes narrowed as he raised his gun, pointing it directly at Lena's head.

"You've done nothing but talk and beg," he said. "It's time for you to be silenced."

Before Lena could even speak, the man pulled the trigger, and she closed her eyes, bracing herself for the end.

Lena awoke with a start, sweat cascading her body, her heart pounding, she looked around the room, trying to steady her breathing and get her bearings.

The nightmare had been so vivid, so real, and it had felt like she was right back in that moment, facing down the masked man.

But now she was safe, in her own bed. She reached for her phone, checking the time. It was 3:00 a.m., and she knew she wouldn't be able to go back to sleep.

She walked out of the door to the balcony of her room, the passed event that shattered her entire being and destroyed her family came rushing back.

She remembered vividly how the mask men came into her house and massacred her entire family.

She heard the door of her room slowly opened and her best friend Sofia rushed to her. .

" Lena, are you okay?" Sofia asked "I heard you crying out in your sleep. Are you having nightmares again?"

Lena nodded, unable to find her voice. She'd been having the same nightmare for years now, ever since the incident. It had started to feel like she was trapped in a never ending loop of fear and terror.

"It's okay, you're safe now," Sofia said. "Why don't you try to go back to sleep? You need your rest."

Lena nodded her end walking back into her room. But even as she closed her eyes, she couldn't shake the feeling of dread that had taken hold of her.

Would the nightmares ever end? Would she ever be free from the terror of that fateful night?

STEFANO

In a dark room in an old mansion in Spain, a man was tied up, his arms and legs bound tightly.

His eyes were covered with a blindfold, and he was unable to move.

The man heard a sound, like someone sharpening a knife, and he began to tremble in fear.

"I'm asking you a question. Are you going to answer me, or do I have to make you talk?"

The man remained silent, his body trembling with fear.

"I said, are you deaf?" he roared, his voice echoing in the dark room. "Or are you just a fool?"

Still, the man said nothing.

"So, you're just going to sit there and say nothing?" Stefano said. "Fine. I'll have to find a way to make you talk."

He reached for a hot knife that had been sitting on a nearby table, its blade glowing red. He held it to the man's neck, and the man flinched.

"Ready to talk now?" Stefano said, his voice barely above a whisper. "Or do you want to find out what this knife can do?"

The man's heart was pounding in his chest, and he was shaking uncontrollably.

"Boss, you have a call," James said, "It's urgent."

Stefano whirled around, his eyes blazing with fury. "Can't you see I'm busy?" he snapped. "I don't have time for calls."

"But sir, I think you'll want to take this one," James said "It's from the Don himself."

With a resigned sigh, he picked up the phone.

"Hello?" Stefano said

The response was terse and angry. "You bastard! Get to my office right now. We have things to discuss." And then the line went dead

LOCATION: DON'S OFFICE

Stefano stepped into the Don's office, Before he could even speak, he felt a stinging pain across his face. The Don had slapped him, hard, and the force of the blow made his head spin.

"You incompetent fool!" the Don yelled. "You have failed me for the last time! How dare you?Do you realize what you have done? I've worked for years to build this company, and you've jeopardized everything!"

Stefano could barely speak, but he managed to stammer out, "I'm so sorry, sir. I didn't mean to cause any harm."

"Sorry isn't good enough," the Don snapped. "You need to fix this, and you need to fix it now. Otherwise, you'll be out of a job - and out of luck."

{It turned out that the Don was none other than Stefano's own father, Fabio}

"I have a task for you tonight," the Don said. "You're going to carry out a hit for me, and you're not going to question me. Is that understood?"

"I won't do it," Stefano said "I can't kill for you anymore. It's not right."

"If you don't do this, I will kill your mother," he said "I have no use for you if you can't follow my orders."

"You monster!" Stefano shouted"I won't let you touch my mother. I won't do your dirty work anymore. I'm done!"

Fabio's face darkened, and he took a step towards Stefano.

"You think you can defy me? You're nothing without me. I made you what you are today. And if you don't do as I say, you'll be nothing again."

Stefano stood his ground, his hands clenched into fists.

"Fine, I'll do it," Stefano said resigning to his fate.

"Good boy, You've finally learned your place. Now get out of my sight, and don't let me see your face until this is done."

He turned and left the room.

I stood at my mother's open grave in the freezing rain, my heels sinking into the mud. The space beside me was empty. My husband, Hilliard Holloway, had promised to cherish me in bad times, but apparently, burying my mother didn't fit into his busy schedule. While the priest's voice droned on, a news alert lit up my phone. It was a livestream of the Metropolitan Charity Gala. There was Hilliard, looking impeccable in a custom tuxedo, with his ex-girlfriend Charla English draped over his arm. The headline read: "Holloway & English: A Power Couple Reunited?" When he finally returned to our penthouse at 2 AM, he didn't come alone-he brought Charla with him. He claimed she'd had a "medical emergency" at the gala and couldn't be left alone. I found a Tiffany diamond necklace on our coffee table meant for her birthday, and a smudge of her signature red lipstick on his collar. When I confronted him, he simply told me to stop being "hysterical" and "acting like a child." He had no idea I was seven months pregnant with his child. He thought so little of my grief that he didn't even bother to craft a convincing lie, laughing with his mistress in our home while I sat in the dark with a shattered heart and a secret life growing inside me. "He doesn't deserve us," I whispered to the darkness. I didn't scream or beg. I simply left a folder on his desk containing signed divorce papers and a forged medical report for a terminated pregnancy. I disappeared into the night, letting him believe he had successfully killed his own legacy through his neglect. Five years later, Hilliard walked into "The Vault," the city's most exclusive underground auction, looking for a broker to manage his estate. He didn't recognize me behind my Venetian mask, but he couldn't ignore the neon pink graffiti on his armored Maybach that read "DEADBEAT." He had no clue that the three brilliant triplets currently hacking his security system were the very children he thought had been erased years ago. This time, I wasn't just a wife in the way; I was the one holding all the cards.

My bank account showed exactly $42.18, and my student loan notifications were flashing red. I lived in a sweltering Queens apartment with my Aunt Lydia, where the air was thick with the smell of stale frying oil and the constant threat of being homeless. Lydia handed me a grainy photo of a man twice my age and told me she had already "sold" me to him. He was a dry cleaner looking for a wife, and in exchange for my hand, he would pay off her credit cards and my debt. If I didn't show up for the date that night, my boxes would be on the curb by midnight. I arrived at the cafe in a state of panic, my selective mutism making it impossible to even breathe. In the crowded room, I accidentally sat at the wrong table. Instead of the man from the photo, I found myself facing Gerhard Holcomb—the cold, terrifyingly handsome billionaire whose family owned the very museum where I worked. He didn't send me away; instead, he studied my trembling hands and offered me a different deal: a two-year contract marriage, a two-million-dollar payout, and a strict clause forbidding any children. I signed the papers and moved into his Park Avenue penthouse, thinking I was finally safe. But when I went back to the old apartment to retrieve the only memento of my dead parents, Lydia lashed out, leaving me bleeding from a head wound. Gerhard’s retaliation was absolute—he had her arrested and her building foreclosed on within hours, claiming he was simply "protecting his assets." As I recovered in his silent, glass-walled home, I saw a call from a famous socialite flash on his phone, and a cold truth settled in my gut. I wasn't just a wife; I was a placeholder, a silent shield used to fend off the women from his past. I looked at the massive pink diamond on my finger and realized the silence I had lived in my whole life was about to become my most expensive prison. I had traded a life of poverty for a high-stakes game of shadows, and now I had to survive the man who claimed to own me.

The sterile white of the operating room blurred, then sharpened, as Skye Sterling felt the cold clawing its way up her body. The heart monitor flatlined, a steady, high-pitched whine announcing her end. Her uterus had been removed, a desperate attempt to stop the bleeding, but the blood wouldn't clot. It just kept flowing, warm and sticky, pooling beneath her. Through heavy eyes, she saw a trembling nurse holding a phone on speaker. "Mr. Kensington," the nurse's voice cracked, "your wife... she's critical." A pause, then a sweet, poisonous giggle. Seraphina Miller. "Liam is in the shower," Seraphina's voice purred. "Stop calling, Skye. It's pathetic. Faking a medical emergency on our anniversary? Even for you, that's low." Then, Liam's bored voice: "If she dies, call the funeral home. I have a meeting in the morning." Click. The line went dead. A second later, so did Skye. The darkness that followed was absolute, suffocating, a black ocean crushing her lungs. She screamed into the void, a silent, agonizing wail of regret for loving a man who saw her as a nuisance, for dying without ever truly living. Until she died, she didn't understand. Why was her life so tragically wasted? Why did her husband, the man she loved, abandon her so cruelly? The injustice of it all burned hotter than the fever in her body. Then, the air rushed back in. Skye gasped, her body convulsing violently on the mattress. Her eyes flew open, wide and terrified, staring blindly into the darkness. Her trembling hand reached for her phone. May 12th. Five years ago. She was back.

Flash Marriage To My Best Friend's Father

Flash Marriage To My Best Friend's Father

I was once the heiress to the Solomon empire, but after it crumbled, I became the "charity case" ward of the wealthy Hyde family. For years, I lived in their shadows, clinging to the promise that Anson Hyde would always be my protector. That promise shattered when Anson walked into the ballroom with Claudine Chapman on his arm. Claudine was the girl who had spent years making my life a living hell, and now Anson was announcing their engagement to the world. The humiliation was instant. Guests sneered at my cheap dress, and a waiter intentionally sloshed champagne over me, knowing I was a nobody. Anson didn't even look my way; he was too busy whispering possessively to his new fiancée. I was a ghost in my own home, watching my protector celebrate with my tormentor. The betrayal burned. I realized I wasn't a ward; I was a pawn Anson had kept on a shelf until he found a better trade. I had no money, no allies, and a legal trust fund that Anson controlled with a flick of his wrist. Fleeing to the library, I stumbled into Dallas Koch-a titan of industry and my best friend's father. He was a wall of cold, absolute power that even the Hydes feared. "Marry me," I blurted out, desperate to find a shield Anson couldn't climb. Dallas didn't laugh. He pulled out a marriage agreement and a heavy fountain pen. "Sign," he commanded, his voice a low rumble. "But if you walk out that door with me, you never go back." I signed my name, trading my life for the only man dangerous enough to keep me safe.

I went to the City Clerk’s office for a routine copy of my marriage license to finalize a trust fund audit. I expected a simple piece of paper, but the clerk’s pitying look told me my entire life was a lie. "The license was never finalized, Ms. Oliver. In the eyes of the state, you are single." The three-hundred-guest wedding at the Plaza and the Vogue features meant nothing. My husband, Gray Cooley, had intentionally filed the documents with a "procedural defect" so he could discard me without a legal divorce. Moments later, an iCloud invite titled "Our Little Secret" popped up on my screen. It was a photo of my best friend, Brylee, holding a positive pregnancy test at our Hamptons estate. Gray’s text to her was the final blow: "Happy anniversary, babe. This baby is the best gift. Once the trust unlocks today, we’re done with the charade." I soon discovered they were even stealing my career, reassigning my architectural masterpiece to Brylee while preparing my eviction notice. Gray's mother called me a "barren mule" in a leaked recording, mocking the infertility I suffered after saving Gray’s life in a construction accident. I wasn't a wife; I was a three-year placeholder used to secure his inheritance. How could the man I bled for treat me like a disposable prop? How could my best friend carry his child while pretending to comfort me through my darkest moments? The betrayal burned until it turned into a cold, hard stone of fury. I didn't cry. Instead, I walked into the penthouse of the Barretts, the Cooleys' most powerful rivals. I signed a marriage contract with Kane Barrett, the man the tabloids called the "Beast of Wall Street." "I want a wedding," I told his father, my voice steady and lethal. "Bigger than the one I had with Gray." If they wanted me gone, they would have to watch me become the woman who owns their world.
