Icarus Falls

To everyone out there that were abandoned.

Isa's Pov

I never thought that I would return to Icarus Falls. I can't believe I once lived here. It brings back so many bad memories. Isa sniffled as she remembers the first day she arrived in Icarus Falls.

Flashback

Isa fell on her butt as Ryan North, father of the North triplets walked towards her. "Your dad borrowed money from me and since he's dead , I will take you as a compensation. You will live here and work every single day of your life till I get my money's worth." Isa cried as she remembers the day her dad came home beaming with smiles . He had borrowed money from Ryan North for his wife's heart transplant only for her to die three days after the surgery. Out of frustration, Isa's dad took his life.

As if being an orphan wasn't bad enough, she had to work for this heartless man and his family to pay back the money her dad borrowed.

"Understood?" Ryan said, bringing her back to the present. "Yes sir", she replied trying to hold in her tears. This was her home now , she had to be strong for this was only the beginning.

Ryan North had three sons. Isa saw only two of them and wondered where the third one was. She had thought she would be lonely and miserable with no one to talk to or play with. That was untill she met Nolan, the eldest of the triplets.

"Hi, I'm Nolan, what's your name?", Nolan said as he had never seen her before and wanted to know who she was. "I'm Isa", she said trying to hide the fact that she was happy that someone finally spoke to her after being in the house for a month. She hit it off with Nolan and they became good friends until one day they decided to spice things up a bit.

"Isa, who am I?", Nolan inquired as he stared at his reflection in the mirror. "You're Nolan, my best friend", Isa replied as she wondered why he asked that question. "I don't want to be your friend", Nolan said as he fixed his tie. "I like you, not as a friend."

"Do you like me as a friend friend then?", Isa asked with a puzzled look on her face. "What is a 'friend friend ', you're so naive", Nolan retorted. Isa huffed , "I really don't know what you're talking about Nolan."

"Fine, I'll break it down for you, I want you to be my girlfriend." Nolan was flustered because he had no idea what her response would be.

"What's a girlfriend?, I don't what it means, but I trust you." Isa replied as she played with the flowers on her dress. " You really don't know anything, do you?" Nolan said with a hint of frustration. "A girlfriend is like a ... 'friend friend', only with a lot of kisses and presents."

"Okay ", Isa said beaming with smiles. Nolan kissed on her forehead and hugged her tightly. " You have no idea how happy you made me", Nolan said as he hugged her again.

Isa was very happy even though she had no idea what the duties of a girlfriend were, they were only eleven but she trusted Nolan with her life. That was untill things turned sour.

Isa was watching a movie with Nolan when Alphonso, the butler interrupted them by notifying Nolan of his father's request. " Sir, Mr North wants you in his office." With a look of displeasure on his face, Nolan asked " Do you know why he wants to see me?" Isa knew something was up, whenever Mr North sends for Nolan, the latter returns with a frown on his face. "Mr North doesn't reveal his intentions", Alphonso said. "I'll be back soon." Nolan reassured Isa and left with Alphonso for his father's study.

Ryan's Study

Immediately Nolan entered his father's study, he knew something was up as the look on his face wasn't welcoming. " You wanted to see me." Nolan said as he maintained eye contact with his father. He was the only son of Ryan's that wasn't afraid to be in the same room with him.

"You lost." Ryan said with a tone of disappointment and disgust. Nolan knew that his father was talking about the Chess tournament he had lost the previous week. Nolan was a master when it comes to Chess. The only reason he lost was because of his competitor, Trevor .

Trevor parents had been giving him a hard time since he was forced to compete in the tournament. He knew he had no chance of winning against Nolan. So, he begged the latter to let him win and Nolan agreed. "You know what happens when you fail to meet my expectations." Ryan said. Nolan knew instantly that his father was up to no good.

"What's your relationship with the girl?" Ryan asked as he maintained eye contact with his son. "She's my girlfriend", Nolan replied. "Interesting." Ryan smirked and he stood up and walked towards Nolan. "I want you to make her life a living hell." Ryan said with a surge of excitement. "What?" Nolan hollered. "I was the one who lost the tournament, why should Isa be punished." Nolan was mad with anger, Ryan knew that Isa was his only weakness and he wanted to use her against him.

" You're my son, an exact replica, your heart is much more colder than ice, there is nothing I can do that's gonna hurt you as much as using Isa." Ryan smirked and went back to his seat. " Let me crush your futile attempts, if you don't do what I say, I'll make sure you never see Mommy again. You don't believe she went on a business trip, do you?" Ryan laughed and suddenly became serious. "Alphonso will keep an eye on you, if you don't make her wish she was dead, I'll make you wish you were dead instead."

Nolan left Ryan's Study baffled. He didn't know what to do anymore. He was to hurt the one person he loves. He ran into Isa in the lounge. " What did he say Nolan?", Isa inquired. She knew what Ryan was capable of and she was worried about Nolan.

"Let's beak up." Nolan said as he walked past her

"I'm tired of pretending to be in love with you, it isn't fun anymore. I'm tired of looking at your ugly face.

I should probably move to boarding school, I'll do anything as long as I don't have to see you around." Nolan said and went upstairs.
