EMILY'S RETURN

CHAPTER ONE

Emily's POV

Back to New York City the place i vowed never come back to.

This place was the beginning of my misery in life and also the end of it.

(I guess it hasn't ended yet )

My children were laughing because they were going to meet their father.

Yes father.

After i divorced Dan I found out I was pregnant. We had sex at one point so they are his children as much as I hate the fact , I love my children, they brought good fortune to me.

"Mummy is papa coming to take us home."My four years old daughter Zoe asked

"Remember i told you guys we are here to surprise papa so he isn't going to be here."I said trying not to ruin their happy moments

"But i want to see papa ."Zoe said with a pout

"You are going to see papa not now."I said kissing her cheeks making her giggle

"Mummy am sleepy and hungry ."Zack said rubbing his eyes and stomach

Oh no ,if one is sleepy it's a problem because the other is going to be sleepy as well. That's a habit they both cultivated over the years.

I quickly tried booking a ride to the hotel we are going to be staying at .

I don't have any family members ,I am an orphan. My parents died together with my elder brother Antonio in a fire accident.

That night I went out on a date with Dan. It was the night he asked me to be his girlfriend. I was so happy I didn't know my happiness wouldn't last long.

"Ma'am you requested a ride ."The driver asked

"Yes take us to the hilltop hotel."I said

He started putting our luggage into the car .

RYAN'S POV

I can't believe what my private investigator just told me, it can't happen not now.

She's going to hate me if she finds out .

"Can you reschedule the meeting with Mr James."I asked my secretary Amber

"No sir , he's returning back to Italy this night so you have to meet him ."She said

"Can't Dan handle it?."I asked

With the look on her face i know she doesn't want Dan to go.

Dan isn't a business person, he's just good at spending money on women .

But he's the golden child of my mother.She loves him and there isn't anything bad with what he does.

Have been trying to make her love me as much as she loves Dan ,i tried trying because she's never going to look at me the way she looks at Dan.

"Okay arrange everything inform Clark I'll be leaving in thirty minutes .”I said sighing

She nodded then left.

We need to make a deal with James so that he can partner with us .

I decided to see Dan before leaving.

I decided against it when I didn't see his secretary in her office . Dan needs to keep his fucking dick in his pants if he doesn't want to get suspended .

Mom isn't going to agree with the board she has the highest shares, that's why Dan acts arrogant.

HILLSTOP HOTEL

Emily's POV

I managed to get the children out of the car while the doorman helped me with the bags.

Being a single mom of twins is stressful but I love them .

"Thanks. "I said with a smile

"It's not a problem."He said leaving

I collected the room key ,I have gotten used to carrying the both of them together it's a good thing someone helped with the bags.

I ignored the stares I was getting from some of the Ladies even the men.

Now am standing at the front of the room , wondering how I'll open the door .

It's days like this that i really feel like hiring a nanny .

"Do you need any help."Someone asked me and the voice was very familiar i immediately turned

My brother in-law Ryan, the one that makes my heart skip , I always avoided him before and after i married Dan.

He soon figured it out and stopped coming around.

He looked more handsome than before.

"Ryan.."my voice came out almost as a whisper

"Hi Emily , I didn't know you were the one."He said looking at the kids his eyes not leaving them until i answered

"Came back today ."I said looking down

"Let me help ."

he said coming closer.

"Thanks."I managed to say biting my lips to hide my nervousness

He helped me with the bags also.

"You remarried?."He asked after i dropped the kids on the bed

"No."I answered

"Are they your kids?."He asked

"Yes , I got pregnant after the divorce the kids were hell bent on seeing their father so i brought them here to see him."I said sighing

"Wow. "He just said looking at the kids

"They are celebrating their birthday next week and this was what they wanted can you help me tell Dan to come see them." I said because I didn't know how i was going to confront Dan about the kids

"I can arrange for you and the kids to live in my villa it will be more comfortable than here , you don't have to say no I don't live there ."He said as if reading my mind, it was already at the tip of my tongue to reject the offer.

"Okay but maybe tomorrow it's already late."I said looking at my children sleeping peacefully

"Don't worry I'll have everything ready just let them sleep am going for a meeting then I'll take you guys there after."He said

"Thanks ."I said

"Stop thanking me Emily, I have to go now."He said leaving

I release my breath i didn't know i was holding .

“I don't know how am going to survive this week.”I said to myself

I decided to switch on my phone .

And a message immediately popped.

The deal was successful but we have a conference to attend next month stating that you have to be present.
