My Ex-Wife Is A Big Shot Chapter 1 STACY

Stacy's pov.

Getting inside my husband's house, I met an eyesore. My husband; Greg, was with another woman in the sitting room. They were sitting down.

"What took you long? I have been waiting for you." He arched his eyebrows at me and that only made me smile. I thought he had missed me for just a short period that I wasn't at home.

"I am sorry. I went to get this bouquet for you. And who is this lady with you?" I kept a calm gaze at him.

"This lady here is Fiona; the woman that is going to replace you." Hearing that, I couldn't wrap my head around those words.

"Replace me? I don't understand." I felt a sharp twist in my heart.

"I will speak in plain terms, Stacy. I am ending this marriage." Those words hit me like a dagger. It seemed like a joke.

"Five years of marriage? You can't mean that." I looked into his eyes with pains all over my face.

He smirked. "Haven't you heard? I have just been hired by Dragon Empire; a top company in this city. My salary a year is now thirty million dollars." "Can't you see that we are not in the same class any more? Can't you see that I will be mocked when people see you and I together." "No hard feelings, Stacy. We are no more compatible." I can't believe those words coming from him.

"Are you leaving me because of your new position?" I widened my eyes.

"Yes. I realized I can't stay with a pauper like you any more. People like you will only drag me to the mud." This was unbelievable.

"What?! I can't believe you would say this to me after our five years of marriage." "I have been supportive and caring through these five years. When you had nothing, I stood by you. Where was this lady then?" I moved forward to touch him.

Only for him to jerk my hands off him. "Don't you dare lay your filthy hands on me?" "You are just a freeloader and I am not interested in you anymore." Fiona brought out some documents from her bag and handed it over to him.

"Stacy. This is where we end our five years journey. Sign the divorce papers." Hearing that from the man I love so dearly broke my heart into pieces. For the five years of our marriage, I have been nothing but supportive and caring.

"How can you be this cruel? Greg. Just because you got successful, the first thing you do is to divorce me after all the sacrifices?" My voice squeezed out in pain.

"I know your problem, Stacy and I am going to fix that for you. Out of my salary, I am going to pay you two million dollars for all the sacrifices. I believe this would start a life for you."

"I don't need your money, Greg. Now that you are successful, I believe we will enjoy it together."

Fiona cut into the conversation. "So your plan is to milk him after all. Greg is right for divorcing you." "People of your class will only give him setbacks and nothing more."

"If you know what is right for you. Sign the divorce papers now!"

I was surprised at those words. "I don't know you could be this short sighted, Greg. Everything you became, I have been the one behind it all. Even this job that made you this successful, I granted you access to it." That irked Greg.

"Stop speaking highly of yourself. We have been married for five years. I know you too well. You are just a pauper, a scumbag and a loser. You can't have any other identity." "Sign the papers already."

I took an intense breath and tears rolled down my cheek involuntarily. I was in pain. "Are you sure about this? Once I sign this paper, it is over forever."

"Hmph! I know and that is what I want. Stop wasting my time." Greg shot a deadly glare at me.

"Okay. I will make your wish come to pass. But know this, you are certainly going to regret it." I took the divorce papers from him and I signed it.

"The only thing I will regret is getting married to you for five years." He collected the divorce papers from me.

"Now that you have signed it. Pack everything that passes as your property. I don't want to ever see you again."

......

With tears running down my cheek, I took my luggage and I loaded it on my scooter. While driving, I noticed I was being followed by five different luxurious cars. 'What is wrong with this man? Why would he follow me?' I thought in my head. While I was still thinking, It seemed like I was being waved down. With intense breath that left my nostrils, I stopped my scooter. Even with the pain in my heart, I had to clean my face just to pretend that everything was fine. The five cars after me stopped.

I stepped off my scooter and Mr Paul; my personal watchdog stepped down from one of the cars. While different guards stepped down from the other cars. They all accompanied Mr Paul.

Getting in front of me, they all went on their knees. "All hail the heiress." I was pissed with that performance. Paul could tell with the way I glared at them.

Paul stood on his feet and he walked in close proximity to me. "What is your problem? Paul. I told you I kept my identity a secret. Do you want to blow my cover with this?" I widened my eyes at him.

"I am sorry, Ma. Since you have revealed your identity to your husband. I deemed it fit to honor you." "By the way, how did he react to it?"

Hearing him ask that question, my countenance fell. I clenched my fist and I gritted my teeth. "I don't want to talk about it." "Why are you after me though? I thought I told you to maintain a low profile." I furrowed my gaze at him.

"Ma. I want to personally congratulate you for a successful show and also give you a grand opening. However, after I received good news from them that he has been accepted into a top position. I am so happy for your husband because he is now a big shot." Hearing that, I couldn't control the tears that rolled down my cheek.

Seeing my tears, his heart was gripped with shock. "Ma. What did he do to you? Why are you crying?" "Wasn't the whole unveiling a success?" Mr Paul furrowed his gaze on me.

My lips were trembling. But I still forced myself to speak. "He divorced me after getting what he wanted."

"What an ungrateful bastard!" "Ma. Permit me to cancel the recommendation you gave that got him this far?" His face was filled with anger.

While I Was Bleeding Out, He Lit Lanterns For Her

As I lay on the floor of our manor, bleeding out from a ruptured ectopic pregnancy, I used my last ounce of strength to call my husband, Cole. I begged him for help, my vision blurring. But the only thing I heard was the clinking of champagne glasses and his mistress's giggle in the background. "Stop the drama, June," Cole snapped, his voice cold. "We're about to go on stage. Don't call again." He hung up, leaving me to die alone on the Persian rug while he accepted an award with another woman on his arm. I woke up in the hospital days later. My baby was gone. They had removed my fallopian tube. Cole finally arrived, smelling of expensive scotch and his mistress's perfume. He didn't hug me. He didn't cry. Instead, he leaned over my hospital bed, pressing his knee into the mattress until my fresh stitches tore open and bled. "You embarrassed me by calling an ambulance," he hissed. "My mistress, Alycia, says you're faking it. Clean yourself up." He left me bleeding again to go announce a $10 million donation to Alycia's "groundbreaking" medical research. I stared at the TV screen, numb. The research Alycia was taking credit for? It was mine. I wrote that patent years ago under a pseudonym. They thought I was just a poor, orphan housewife who needed Cole's money to survive. They had no idea I was actually a billionaire scientist hiding my identity. I pulled the IV needle out of my arm. A drop of blood fell onto the divorce papers I had been hiding. I didn't wipe it off. I signed my name right over it. Then I walked into the bank, reactivated my dormant account with $128 million, and bought the penthouse directly overlooking Cole's house. The mourning widow is dead. The avenger is born.

No Longer Mrs. Cooley: The Architect's Return

I went to the City Clerk’s office for a routine copy of my marriage license to finalize a trust fund audit. I expected a simple piece of paper, but the clerk’s pitying look told me my entire life was a lie. "The license was never finalized, Ms. Oliver. In the eyes of the state, you are single." The three-hundred-guest wedding at the Plaza and the Vogue features meant nothing. My husband, Gray Cooley, had intentionally filed the documents with a "procedural defect" so he could discard me without a legal divorce. Moments later, an iCloud invite titled "Our Little Secret" popped up on my screen. It was a photo of my best friend, Brylee, holding a positive pregnancy test at our Hamptons estate. Gray’s text to her was the final blow: "Happy anniversary, babe. This baby is the best gift. Once the trust unlocks today, we’re done with the charade." I soon discovered they were even stealing my career, reassigning my architectural masterpiece to Brylee while preparing my eviction notice. Gray's mother called me a "barren mule" in a leaked recording, mocking the infertility I suffered after saving Gray’s life in a construction accident. I wasn't a wife; I was a three-year placeholder used to secure his inheritance. How could the man I bled for treat me like a disposable prop? How could my best friend carry his child while pretending to comfort me through my darkest moments? The betrayal burned until it turned into a cold, hard stone of fury. I didn't cry. Instead, I walked into the penthouse of the Barretts, the Cooleys' most powerful rivals. I signed a marriage contract with Kane Barrett, the man the tabloids called the "Beast of Wall Street." "I want a wedding," I told his father, my voice steady and lethal. "Bigger than the one I had with Gray." If they wanted me gone, they would have to watch me become the woman who owns their world.

The Ghost Wife's Billion Dollar Tech Comeback

The Ghost Wife's Billion Dollar Tech Comeback

Today is October 14th, my birthday. I returned to New York after months away, dragging my suitcase through the biting wind, but the VIP pickup zone where my husband's Maybach usually idled was empty. When I finally let myself into our Upper East Side penthouse, I didn't find a cake or a "welcome home" banner. Instead, I found my husband, Caden, kneeling on the floor, helping our five-year-old daughter wrap a massive gift for my half-sister, Adalynn. Caden didn't even look up when I walked in; he was too busy laughing with the girl who had already stolen my father's legacy and was now moving in on my family. "Auntie Addie is a million times better than Mommy," my daughter Elara chirped, clutching a plush toy Caden had once forbidden me from buying for her. "Mommy is mean," she whispered loudly, while Caden just smirked, calling me a "drill sergeant" before whisking her off to Adalynn's party without a second glance. Later that night, I saw a video Adalynn posted online where my husband and child laughed while mocking my "sensitive" nature, treating me like an inconvenient ghost in my own home. I had spent five years researching nutrition for Elara's health and managing every detail of Caden's empire, only to be discarded the moment I wasn't in the room. How could the man who set his safe combination to my birthday completely forget I even existed? The realization didn't break me; it turned me into ice. I didn't scream or beg for an explanation. I simply walked into the study, pulled out the divorce papers I'd drafted months ago, and took a black marker to the terms. I crossed out the alimony, the mansion, and even the custody clause-if they wanted a life without me, I would give them exactly what they asked for. I left my four-carat diamond ring on the console table and walked out into the rain with nothing but a heavily encrypted hard drive. The submissive Mrs. Holloway was gone, and "Ghost," the most lethal architect in the tech world, was finally back online to take back everything they thought I'd forgotten.
