IN THE KINGDOM OF KESWICK, a kingdom well known in the early times as a mighty kingdom.

It was a bright and cool sunny day. There are numerous people happily enjoying the moment of gyeolhonsik jubilee taking place in a huge luxurious royal mansion. The mansion made with glasses has different sections including; gardens, home offices, dining rooms, parlors, central halls, libraries, cooking rooms and lavatory. There are myriad of servants, both male and female taking their various tasks. Some servants were making the guest's foods, while some were arranging the tables and some are attending the guests. Everything was going fine as everyone was happy at the moment of the joyful celebrations. The huge luxurious palace was also decorated in different colors with incandescent bulbs and lamps. Many royal families, elite visitors and respectful guests have attended the party including the nearby villagers as they ate and chats in a happy moment.

The Queen of Keswick, Queen Lisha was dressed adorably in a long pink color dress, petticoat, a hair ornaments with high heels. She looked very prosperous with pleasant smile on her face. Queen Lisha was sitting in a chair, having a little chats with her childhood BAHIN (sister-like), Rila Sen. Rila has visited the Queen after so many years. They were chatting gloriously.

"This is such a great celebration. Not every kingdom family could manage the expenses. It's very rare to sponsored nowadays" said Miss Rila, smiling in bliss.

Queen Lisha smiled and replied, "dhanyavaad mere dost (thanks my friend). It's a celebration occasion of my eldest son's wedding. I must prepare well for my two diamonds. I only have them. If my wealth couldn't fit their needs, what do you think i am good for?"

"Of course they deserve the finest. You haven't even introduce your last born child to me. It's been a long time I visit you. You don't know, my life has been so busy nowadays. Remind me of his name, Ah! Prince Pial. Kahaan hai vah (where's he)?"

"Wherever he's, l am sure they're together with his brother and his best friend, Lihan. Maybe next time you'll meet him".

"I pray so coz l don't think there will be next time for me!".

"Kyun (why), Are you not coming back after the trip?" asked Queen Lisha, looking so worried.

"I will not say yes or no. First, l got to watch over my grandchildren. I have so many responsibilities, you cannot understand. Life in the rural area is not the same compare to your way of lives here. I was naturally curious you know, so l have to contend with the house activities".

Queen Lisha looked down at her dress that was adjusted by her maids. Briefly she raised her head up and kindly placed her hand on Rila's shoulder, "you're a good mother of course. I am so happy for your family. They're so lucky to have you by their side".

Miss Rila smiled and responded, "time has already change for us. Before we are ladies, ruling and taking care of our parents is the only duty rely on us but now we're mothers. Please do not strict your children by any non-issue. Try and understand them, that's what makes a happy family. And I know you are doing your best your highness".

"Don't address me as that please. You're like a sister to me. And yes, l will do my best to try" replied Queen Lisha.

"Never mind. Your duty and reilm to your people comes first. And it's said that a person get respect from his close fellow. Nobody should understand our relationship. I should stood by your side to see the development of Keswick" said Miss Rila respectively.

"Pina!" Queen Lisha called out a maid roaming around with some cold drinks in a bar tray. And she kindly took two cups from the tray before allowing her to go. "You may go on. It's okay" she declared. And she gave one cup to Miss Rila "please have something".

Miss Rila kindly collect the glass cup, "dhanyavaad (thank you)". She drank a sip and drop on the round table placed at the center.

"Miss Rila, I wanted to ask you this question since your last visit here during the royal coronation".

"Yes your highness!".

"It's the issue concerning our second prince. Do you think Princess Nar of Wyoming is worth for being the second Princess of Keswick?"

"Uttam (perfect)! Vah bahut achchha hai (she's very nice). It's a nice combination. Vah achchhee hai (she is good). Princess Nar is the most beauties princess and most of all their kingdom like ours has been the best number in honor and royalty. This match will make a good alliance, l guarantee you this. And I know that Prince Pial will be delightful with your opinion. He's good like his brother, l know he won't let you down" responded Miss Rila.

Queen Lisha smiled with pleasure and took another sip of drink. As they continue their discussion.

While Prince Pial was discussing with Lihan and laughing, a bright light of the decoration bulb dim in his eyes. A purple scarf made with white stones reflect the brightness of the bulbs. As he raised his head, a shadow of beauty has already taken away his mind.

"God's miracle is beyond the obstacles" he sounded unexpectedly.

"Your royal highness, what's it now?" Asked Lihan funnily, laughing. "Oh I understand your thought, but be careful your highness. That's not a good behavior especially for a prince".

"You keep quiet. I... I don't mean it in ... a bad way" responded prince Pial, trying to capture the lady's face clearly.

"I see where you're going with this. But I think you better stop this dreaming".

"I am not!".

"Hmm!".

"Really l am not my friend, believe me".

"Then stop looking".

"I am trying to" responded Prince Pial, couldn't take away from the lady busy chatting with a young girl of her age.

"Prince Pial!" Lihan apprised him. And he carefully turned his head to face him. "This is not our probity. And remember, according to the rules of Keswick kingdom, it's highly prohibited for a prince to look at a village girl. And so ..." Lihan quickly held his tongue after seeing Queen Lisha and Miss Rila approaching them.

For four years, I traced the bullet scar on Chace’s chest, believing it was proof he would bleed to keep me safe. On our anniversary, he told me to wear white because "tonight changes everything." I walked into the gala thinking I was getting a ring. Instead, I stood frozen in the center of the ballroom, drowning in silk, watching him slide his mother's sapphire onto another woman's finger. Karyn Warren. The daughter of a rival family. When I begged him with my eyes to claim me, to save me from the public humiliation, he didn't flinch. He just leaned toward his Underboss, his voice amplified by the silence. "Karyn is for power. Ember is for pleasure. Don't confuse the assets." My heart didn't just break; it incinerated. He expected me to stay as his mistress, threatening to dig up my dead mother’s grave if I refused to play the obedient pet. He thought I was trapped. He thought I had nowhere to go because of my father’s massive gambling debts. He was wrong. With shaking hands, I pulled out my phone and texted the one name I was never supposed to use. Keith Mosley. The Don. The monster under Chace's bed. *I am invoking the Blood Oath. My father’s debt. I am ready to pay it.* His reply came three seconds later, buzzing against my palm like a warning. *The price is marriage. You belong to me. Yes or No?* I looked up at Chace, who was laughing with his new fiancée, thinking he owned me. I looked down and typed three letters. *Yes.*

I watched my husband sign the papers that would end our marriage while he was busy texting the woman he actually loved. He didn't even glance at the header. He just scribbled the sharp, jagged signature that had signed death warrants for half of New York, tossed the file onto the passenger seat, and tapped his screen again. "Done," he said, his voice devoid of emotion. That was Dante Moretti. The Underboss. A man who could smell a lie from a mile away but couldn't see that his wife had just handed him an annulment decree disguised beneath a stack of mundane logistics reports. For three years, I scrubbed his blood out of his shirts. I saved his family's alliance when his ex, Sofia, ran off with a civilian. In return, he treated me like furniture. He left me in the rain to save Sofia from a broken nail. He left me alone on my birthday to drink champagne on a yacht with her. He even handed me a glass of whiskey—her favorite drink—forgetting that I despised the taste. I was merely a placeholder. A ghost in my own home. So, I stopped waiting. I burned our wedding portrait in the fireplace, left my platinum ring in the ashes, and boarded a one-way flight to San Francisco. I thought I was finally free. I thought I had escaped the cage. But I underestimated Dante. When he finally opened that file weeks later and realized he had signed away his wife without looking, the Reaper didn't accept defeat. He burned down the world to find me, obsessed with reclaiming the woman he had already thrown away.

Today is October 14th, my birthday. I returned to New York after months away, dragging my suitcase through the biting wind, but the VIP pickup zone where my husband’s Maybach usually idled was empty. When I finally let myself into our Upper East Side penthouse, I didn’t find a cake or a "welcome home" banner. Instead, I found my husband, Caden, kneeling on the floor, helping our five-year-old daughter wrap a massive gift for my half-sister, Adalynn. Caden didn’t even look up when I walked in; he was too busy laughing with the girl who had already stolen my father’s legacy and was now moving in on my family. "Auntie Addie is a million times better than Mommy," my daughter Elara chirped, clutching a plush toy Caden had once forbidden me from buying for her. "Mommy is mean," she whispered loudly, while Caden just smirked, calling me a "drill sergeant" before whisking her off to Adalynn’s party without a second glance. Later that night, I saw a video Adalynn posted online where my husband and child laughed while mocking my "sensitive" nature, treating me like an inconvenient ghost in my own home. I had spent five years researching nutrition for Elara’s health and managing every detail of Caden’s empire, only to be discarded the moment I wasn't in the room. How could the man who set his safe combination to my birthday completely forget I even existed? The realization didn't break me; it turned me into ice. I didn't scream or beg for an explanation. I simply walked into the study, pulled out the divorce papers I’d drafted months ago, and took a black marker to the terms. I crossed out the alimony, the mansion, and even the custody clause—if they wanted a life without me, I would give them exactly what they asked for. I left my four-carat diamond ring on the console table and walked out into the rain with nothing but a heavily encrypted hard drive. The submissive Mrs. Holloway was gone, and "Ghost," the most lethal architect in the tech world, was finally back online to take back everything they thought I’d forgotten.

I was four months pregnant, weighing over two hundred pounds, and my heart was failing from experimental treatments forced on me as a child. My doctor looked at me with clinical detachment and told me I was in a death sentence: if I kept the baby, I would die, and if I tried to remove it, I would die. Desperate for a lifeline, I called my father, Francis Acosta, to tell him I was sick and pregnant. I expected a father's love, but all I got was a cold, sharp blade of a voice. "Then do it quietly," he said. "Don't embarrass Candi. Her debutante ball is coming up." He didn't just reject me; he erased me. My trust fund was frozen, and I was told I was no longer an Acosta. My fiancé, Auston, had already discarded me, calling me a "bloated whale" while he looked for a thinner, wealthier replacement. I left New York on a Greyhound bus, weeping into a bag of chips, a broken woman the world considered a mistake. I couldn't understand how my own father could tell me to die "quietly" just to save face for a party. I didn't know why I had been a lab rat for my family’s pharmaceutical ambitions, or how they could sleep at night while I was left to rot in the gray drizzle of the city. Five years later, the doors of JFK International Airport slid open. I stepped onto the marble floor in red-soled stilettos, my body lean, lethal, and carved from years of blood and sweat. I wasn't the "whale" anymore; I was a ghost coming back to haunt them. With my daughter by my side and a medical reputation that terrified the global elite, I was ready to dismantle the Acosta empire piece by piece. "Tell Francis to wash his neck," I whispered to the skyline. "I'm home."
