Molly, a diligent woman who emulated her boss's good ethics dreamed of being like her billionaire Boss. She wanted her favor and trust during her years of working for her boss. However, envied by her colleagues they plot against her and a single lie jeopardizes all her struggles and ruins her life.
Tears rolled down her cheeks as she pleaded with both hands wrapped around the feet of her boss. She couldn't bear the thought of losing the one person in her life that showed her compassion, she had no one to rely on, her boss loved her endlessly , but she is extremely principled.
"Say something Molly! How did my jewelry get into your bag?" Her boss questioned.
Molly opened her mouth but words faded off her throat.
"Hum, humm, i .. i, i promise i didn't steal it" she stuttered.
" i am so disappointed in you, i have shown you nothing but love ! Little did i know you're just a wench who will stab me at the back, get your stuff and leave as i speak! I will do you the favor of not handing you over to the police" she yelled.
Molly's face turned red, fear crept up her spine and tiny beads of sweat dripped down her forehead, in no time she was in a pool of tears as she repeatedly begged.
" Here's your bag, Mol" one of the maids said.
She raised Molly's chin, flicked off a streak of tears rolling down her chin and leaned closer to her ear . " oh dear Molly, you can cry all you want outside this house,. Meanwhile I will be sure to handle your post with care" she said , winked and walked away.
Immediately, memories flooded her head, it was her, someone she thought was her friend. She saw her enter her boss's room, but she cared less. She trusted her, but her trust failed her.
She staggeringly stood up, holding her bag to her chest, and she exited the vicinity. Thought of her late mum ate her up, her heart pounded in her chest, she constantly wiped and sniffed back tears as she headed nowhere in particular.
Cheers and shouts from a bar jolted her out of her endless thoughts.
"Of course a bottle or two should help" she whispered.
Molly walked into a bar crowded with crazy people who jumped all over the place. She shouldn't be here when she has lost her mother and her job.
However, the club was her last resort. It was the only place that accepted her and possibly took away her sorrows.
She mindlessly went over to the bar and requested a drink regardless of not having a dime on her. She took the first shot and squeezed her face and the hot sting of alcohol burned down her throat.
But it didn't stop her from wanting more. Her wound was too deep, and she wanted to forget it once and for all.
As she was downing her drink, a handsome man showed up beside her and ordered some drinks for himself.
She quickly noticed him, flashed him a bright smile and continued to mind her business.
After an hour, she found herself talking to him, and they were both engrossed in their topic to the extent that nothing seemed noticeable to them.
"I have been having a hard time finding the culprit, and it is getting on my nerves that the person is a hard criminal. Have you ever tried to find something, yet it seems like you can never find it even though It is right before you with every clue visible?" The beautiful stranger yelled, and all Molly could hear was his tender voice that sounded mini in her ears.
This was her first time drunk, and it felt so good to her. She didn't have to bother about anything but talk to the man before her.
"I understand that feeling. I have been there before. My boss thinks that I am a thief because some lousy maids found her lost jewelry in my room. Also, I found out that my mom died yesterday. There are so many unbearable things for me to carry. I don't have a place to stay, and my best friend is somewhere in England. Oh, so you know that my ex-boyfriend is a scumbag. I can show you everything about him," she blabbed nonstop, and he listened attentively.
They start to laugh over their misfortunes. Molly was too dazed to understand what was happening around her, and before she knew it, she was kissing the stranger in front of her.
He didn't resist her and thought it would be nice to spend the night with her since they were both drunk and needed comfort.
One minute later, they were both wrapped in a sheet. Satisfying each other's desires as the night grew deeper and darker.
Seconds later, Molly felt a new sensation wash over her as the stranger above her explored her entire being.
At that moment, nothing mattered again. She wanted nothing but comfort and wished it could last. However, fate has a way of playing its games.
Waking up in a dark room, Nicole Jones felt a slender body beside him. He had no idea of where he was and how he got himself wrapped up with a stranger.
Thinking that she was one of those women who threw themselves on men, he got up from the bed and dressed back into his clothes.
Before he left, he put some money into the unknown woman's jacket without the thought of seeing her again.
Immediately he got out of the motel, he dialed a number that answered on the first ring.
"Yes, Mr. Jones. Is there anything you need?" The receiver asked, and he robbed the folds on his forehead with his thumb and index finger.
"Get me a car at Seventh Street Valley," he instructed with a husky voice that could tell that he was greatly annoyed. Especially because of his one-night stand with a stranger.
After five minutes, a black Mercedes pulled up beside him.
"Sorry for the delay Boss," the driver said as he opened the door for him to get inside.
He was taken back to his spare house since he was on a job here in Los Angeles. In summary, he was a billionaire detective and was on a case that gave him a hard time to crack.
What he didn't expect was to visit a club out of frustration and end up with a stranger. He still felt guilty of what he had done and hoped never to encounter such a situation again.
The next day, he sent someone to check on the woman who had left but found out that she was gone. He intended to give her some money as compensation.
Thinking that she would return, he instructed one of his men to keep the money with the owner of the club just in case she showed up.
Once he was done clearing that off his mind, he went back to focusing on his job and struggled to crack the case he had.
Meanwhile, back at Miss Greene's house, Linda and Peggy had assumed the position of chief maid and staff. Since they had succeeded in kicking Molly out of the house, they proceeded to carry out their other plans.
But Miss Greene was no fool. The last person she trusted was gone, and she made sure that no one went into her room. She installed new CCTV cameras around her corridor, room, and closet.
She wasn't ready to take any chances again. As for Linda, she never acknowledged her or any other person.
This made Linda furious, and she decided to devise another means to achieve her goal.
As Miss Greene was preparing for work, Linda arrived at her room door with a cup of tea in a tray.
"Good morning, Miss Greene. I have brought your breakfast for you," she smiled like an innocent child, but Miss Greene didn't fall for her charms.
"What do you want?" She coldly asked, and Linda bit her inner cheeks, frustrated that Miss Greene was ignoring her.
"I brought you some tea and..."
"Take it away. I am not interested in your breakfast. You can have it for yourself. And never bring food to my room ever again. If not, you will be fired," Miss Greene cautioned her.
Linda was left infuriated by Miss Greene's attitude towards her.
"Why is she so stuck on that, Molly? I am her chief maid, yet she doesn't acknowledge me at all," Linda ranted to Peggy, who was busy filing her nails.
"You are the one trying too hard. The poor woman had just lost her favorite maid. It would be hard for her to trust a new one. Instead of you pushing her too much, wait for her to get used to you. Little details are what makes her warm up to people. You don't expect a woman with trust issues to start liking you immediately. It doesn't work that way," Peggy advised her, and she liked her words.
"If that is the case, then I will have to take things slower. After all, beetles don't learn how to fly in a day. I will be downstairs. Do come and have breakfast when you are ready," Linda said, and left for her destination.
However, inside Miss Greene's room, she bowed her head on her dining table, holding her stomach as hunger bothered her stomach.
Ever since Molly left, she has found it difficult to eat the food prepared for her by other maids. She trusted Molly so much and didn't care if her food was poisoned because she had Molly with her.
The reason why she found it difficult to eat other people's food was because one time when she was with her family, someone tried to poison her.
Molly noticed it and always made sure to taste the food she brought for her. But now, she was gone, her trust also went with her. She turned cold towards the rest of her employees and dismissed anyone that seemed suspicious.
After thinking for a while, Miss Greene went out of her room pretending to be okay. Linda saw her and tried to approach her, but Peggy held her back.
"You will only scare her if you continue to be persistent. Watch, she is in a fit now, a stage where she no longer relies on anyone. Let her be and trust me, you won't regret it," Peggy said, but that was not what Linda was after, she wanted her riches and not to be a comfort pillow.
By evening she went out to visit an old friend who happened to be a mutual friend of Molly's. Gilbert. He sat on his bike with his hands tucked into his trouser pockets.
"Hey, babe. Were you able to get anything? I am completely drained," he asked, but Linda ignored him and went into his house. He followed her behind and they both stumbled upon his messy apartment.
"Can you for once clean up your house? It looks like a jungle in here. That's by the way, were you able to get Molly's mother to sign the document?" She asked, and he flashed a brown file to her, and she smiled.
"I knew you could do it." She praised him and took the file from him. The document contained a big deal that no one knew about, not even Molly.
