Chapter 1 Now The Luna Queen

King Moreno's Palace, 1524 AD

"AGATHA!!"

Hearing King Moreno called her, Agatha turned around, threw away all the cleaning materials she had with her and rushed back into the throne room. She had just finished cleaning the throne room. She couldn't fathom while he had become so furious but she knew she was going to have a bad day.

With her heart pounding as if a horse was galloping over it, she arrived in the throne room and she was immediately grabbed on the neck by a strong muscular wide hand.

"Here I am, My Lord!" These were the words she had on her tongue but King Moreno's force on her throat made them escape her lips just like mere mumbling.

She was just an omega werewolf. She wasn't just weak, she was a good for nothing servant. To someone as noble as King Moreno who was the Alpha of Blackbird Pack, the biggest strongest and wealthiest pack in the whole of Carolina, North and South, she was worthless like dung.

Agatha could feel all her bones breaking as King Moreno threw her against the wall. Bracing herself, she got up quickly, rushed back to him and fell on her knees with her head bowed.

As she remained in her humble position, she felt her skin becoming lighter as she didn't hear a word from King Moreno after a while. It was like her skin was peeling off while thinking of what he would do to her.

"You spilled water right in front of my throne. Do you want me to slip, fall and die?!" King Moreno thundered again and Agatha just wanted to be sunken into the ground.

She heard his footsteps as he moved away from her, tears started streaming down her eyes as she had already known what was coming next. She heard as he pulled out his long horse whip from the back of the throne.

Her peeling skin became heated as she heard him dipping the horsewhip in liquid silver poison. She gnashed her teeth, clenched her fists, closed her eyes and held her breath, all in the attempt to endure the horsewhip.

The first lash landed on her back and she could feel fire burning on the mark left by the horsewhip. Her whole body system lost coordination. She felt all the sickness in the world coursing through her veins. Another lash landed on her when she still had no hope of recovering from the first.

This was how her daily life always unfolded. As she was reveling in the great pain, she saw her mother's face when she was being lynched for a minor offence and how her father was shot with hundreds of silver arrows as he was trying to defend her mother.

When the third lash made contact with her skin, it became evident that her death was imminent. She couldn't kneel down anymore. She fell down flat, unable to roll on the ground. The lashes kept landing on her without stopping.

Her father died pathetically and so did her mother. Right now, she was also losing her life without hope. Agatha and her parents didn't commit any grievous sin. Their main sin was being low-born.

King Moreno, who kept beating her even at the point of death, had a wife and daughters whom he always cared for. They were not subjected to the hard life that Agatha was living. As her life was finally dousing out, she kept thinking.

'How I wish I was King Moreno's wife? Wouldn't he also spoil me with love and affection?'

Luna Sienna's Palace. 2024 AD

Agatha was jolted awake in a strange place. She remembered how she was getting thrashed by King Moreno in his throne room. As she sat up from her sleeping position, she realized she had been sleeping on a bed which seemed like it was made from only feathers.

She was confused as hell. Her life was about to douse out and here she was. Is this the great beyond that was always talked about? If she had known she would have taken her own life many years back.

The room was extremely beautiful and luxurious, King Moreno's bedchamber was nothing compared to the place. She now possessed a great beautiful well shaped body. She couldn't believe it was herself.

She got up, put on the fancy pair of shoes beside the bed and walked out into the hallway. She found out she was still in a palace, it just seemed better than King Moreno's.

As she made her way into the throne room, everyone stood up and bowed for her.

"Your Majesty!" they chorused.

She took the clue and sat on the high throne. There were some young ladies standing on a side, they looked battered and tattered. They were obviously sad but when they saw Agatha, they became relaxed.

A well dressed man, in a suit that seemed better than the one Agatha was familiar with, moved closer to the throne to whisper something to her.

Looking at him with disgust. "You are?"

"I'm your beta, Kingston," he replied with a trace of anger on his face but it seemed he had no choice than to obey her.

Now that she had confirmed that she had become the Queen Luna without an Alpha King, she would follow King Moreno's footsteps, the strong king. But he was nowhere to be found here with her now that her wish to become his wife had been accomplished.

"And who are they?" Agatha asked, referring to the young ladies who were obviously omega maidservants.

"They are offenders that would be receiving your mercies this morning," Kingston replied slowly as if he was also not in support of what he was saying.

"Why would they be shown mercy? Every offender should be beheaded from now on. Death is the only punishment for every offense!" She said and her eyes turned hot red with anger. That was exactly what King Moreno would do.

A group of five older people who were in the throne room with them stood up in astonishment.

"Who are these?" she asked Kingston.

"They are the elders," he replied with a smile on his face. She was sure that Kingston was pleased with her brutal actions. So, she didn't have to worry about the elders but they wouldn't be punished because they were not omegas or low-born.

"You are asking a lot of questions this morning, My Lady. Is there anything bothering you?" Kingston asked.

"I feel angry with the way the pack is. I want to make a lot of changes. Those lowborn and omega should know their place. They are alive only by privilege."

In this new life, once she had stabilized the pack to King Moreno's taste, she would find him and they would be together forever.
