Amara, a simple girl whose life changes drastically when her mother falls seriously ill. Desperate for medical expenses, she is forced to accept an offer from Malik, a wealthy married businessman. However, the offer is not just to be an ordinary mistress-Malik asks Amara to bear five children from him. Trapped in an unexpected contract, Amara must face a heavy moral and emotional dilemma. On the one hand, she wants to save her mother, but on the other hand, she is trapped in a life full of secrets, lies, and betrayal. Can Amara fulfill the agreement without losing her identity, or will she find the courage to fight the destiny imposed on her?
Amara stood frozen in the lavish living room of Malik's penthouse, her heart pounding like a drum in her chest. The towering windows revealed the dazzling city lights below, but her eyes were fixed on the man seated in front of her-Malik Rahman, a name whispered in the halls of power and feared by those who opposed him. He was every bit the powerful businessman she had heard about, but nothing could have prepared her for the words he had just spoken.
"You must bear me five children."
The sentence hung in the air like a bomb waiting to explode. Amara's breath caught in her throat, and for a moment, she thought she hadn't heard him correctly. But the seriousness in Malik's deep, cold eyes told her otherwise. She swallowed hard, her palms clammy, her legs trembling beneath her.
"A-are you insane?" Her voice came out in a shaky whisper. "You can't be serious..."
"I'm very serious." Malik's voice was smooth, yet carried a cold authority that left no room for argument. He leaned forward slightly, his eyes narrowing as if assessing her reaction, the thin smile on his lips unsettling. "This is not a negotiation, Amara. You need the money for your mother's treatment, and I need heirs."
Amara felt like the ground had fallen out from under her. It wasn't supposed to be like this. She had agreed to be his sugar baby, a temporary arrangement to pay for her mother's hospital bills, but she never imagined it would come to this. She felt the weight of the world pressing down on her shoulders as Malik's demand echoed in her mind.
"Why five? Why me?" she asked, her voice now barely above a whisper.
Malik leaned back in his chair, his fingers casually tracing the rim of his crystal glass. "Because I need heirs-strong, healthy heirs. My wife..." He paused, his eyes briefly flickering with something Amara couldn't quite place-was it frustration, resentment? "She can't provide me with children."
Amara gasped. She had known Malik was married, but his personal life had always been a mystery, shrouded in rumors. She had heard whispers that his marriage was one of convenience, not love, but to be dragged into the middle of it? It felt surreal.
"Five children? That's insane! I can't-"
Malik cut her off, his voice steely. "You can and you will. You don't have a choice, Amara." He stood up, his towering figure casting a long shadow over her. "I'm offering you a way out of your poverty, a life of luxury, the best doctors for your mother. In return, you give me what I need."
Amara's mind raced. Her mother's life hung in the balance, and without Malik's financial support, she wouldn't survive the next few months. The image of her frail mother in the hospital bed, tubes and machines keeping her alive, flashed in her mind. Amara felt a lump form in her throat.
"How can you be so cruel?" she asked, her voice trembling with a mix of anger and despair. "I'm a human being, not some breeding machine."
Malik's eyes darkened, and he stepped closer to her, his presence dominating the room. "This is business, Amara. You should know by now that I don't do charity. This is the price you pay for my help."
Her legs felt weak, and she collapsed onto the plush couch behind her. This was supposed to be temporary. A few months, maybe a year, just until her mother was well again. She had never imagined that Malik would want something so... monstrous.
"I can't do it," she whispered, burying her face in her hands. Tears stung her eyes, but she refused to let them fall.
"You can, and you will." Malik's voice was emotionless, as though he were discussing a mere business transaction. "You have no other options, Amara. I'm offering you the deal of a lifetime. Don't be foolish enough to throw it away."
Amara looked up at him, her heart aching with a mixture of anger, fear, and helplessness. "You're married," she said, her voice hoarse. "What about your wife?"
Malik's expression didn't change. "She knows. She understands."
Amara's stomach churned at the thought of it all-the coldness, the calculation, the sheer ruthlessness of Malik's world. She had stepped into a life she didn't understand, and now she was paying the price.
"I'll give you the night to think about it," Malik said, turning toward the door. "But don't take too long. Your mother doesn't have much time."
With that, he left the room, his footsteps echoing down the hallway. Amara sat in silence, her mind spinning. The gravity of Malik's proposition weighed heavily on her, and she struggled to breathe under the pressure of it all. What kind of life would she be living if she agreed? Could she ever look at herself in the mirror again? Could she live with the knowledge that she had sold herself to a man like Malik?
But her mother...
Tears streamed down her face as she thought of her mother, her only family, lying in that hospital bed, fighting for her life. Without the money, there was no hope for her recovery. And without Malik, there was no money.
Amara knew she had been trapped, backed into a corner with no way out. Malik had made sure of that. But how could she possibly give in to such a twisted demand? Five children? Five!
The sun had long set by the time Amara stood from the couch, her mind still a whirlwind of confusion and fear. She walked to the window, staring out at the city that never slept, the lights glittering like distant stars. Somewhere out there, other people were living their lives, oblivious to the dark, twisted deal she had been offered.
But for her, this was her reality.
Her phone buzzed, pulling her from her thoughts. She glanced down at the screen. A message from Malik.
"I expect your answer by morning. Don't waste my time."
Amara's fingers trembled as she typed out a reply.
"I'll do it."
As she hit send, a sense of finality washed over her. There was no turning back now. She had made her decision.
Her fate was sealed.
