Having been married for less than a year, I thought my life was going quite well. My husband is great, my relatives are wonderful, and my close friends are lovely-everything seemed quite good. However, just a month ago, a misdiagnosis shattered all these beautiful illusions! It not only allowed me to see the terrifying nature of people's hearts but also made me experience the ugliness of humanity...

Chapter 1

A month ago, I was mistakenly diagnosed with breast cancer. In my confusion, I naturally shared the news with my husband, Josh Chapman.

He was stunned at first.

But quickly reassured me, saying, "With today's medical advancements, many people successfully overcome breast cancer."

My family, friends, and close confidantes also offered their comfort and encouragement.

I was deeply moved and found the courage and determination to fight the illness.

Later, I went to a larger hospital for a second opinion, only to be told by the doctor that it was likely a misdiagnosis!

I didn't have breast cancer.

Instead, I had a breast fibroadenoma.

It was a common benign breast condition in young women.

I felt an overwhelming sense of relief but didn't immediately call Josh.

I planned to go home first, take a nice shower, change into fresh clothes.

And then waited for Josh to get off work so we could go out for a celebratory dinner.

I intended to surprise him with the news of the misdiagnosis at the restaurant.

In my opinion, deliberately creating little surprises or unexpected moments between couples was a great way to enhance their marital relationship.

When I got home, just as I stepped in and hadn't even changed my shoes, I heard Josh's voice coming from the bathroom.

Wasn't he supposed to be at work at this hour?

I was about to call out his name when I suddenly heard him mention a name I knew well.

"Cindy, aren't you happy that Pattie was diagnosed with breast cancer?"

Josh was on the phone!

And he was talking to my good friend, Cindy James!

How could they be on the phone together?

I had a bad feeling.

"Why shouldn't I be happy? I'm happy, and I dare to admit it! Unlike you, who's so fake! Listen up, Cindy, once I get hold of Pattie's houses and savings, don't you dare even think about them!"

Josh's words left me feeling cold inside.

The joy of the misdiagnosis vanished instantly.

I understood the implication of his words.

He was waiting for me to die so he could take all my house properties and savings!

Waited!

What did he mean by "don't you even think about them"?

Could it be that Josh and Cindy...

I dared not think further!

One was my husband, the other my best friend!

The two of them...

No, no, no!

It couldn't be!

I surely misheard.

I desperately tried to defend them in my mind.

But Josh's next words shattered my last bit of hope.

"Cindy, now that Pattie has cancer, it won't be long before we don't have to hide our relationship anymore! Then we can be together openly! That's what truly makes me happy!"

"What? If she doesn't die this time? Don't worry! Even if this illness doesn't take her life, I'll make sure she doesn't survive! It's all for you, darling..."

Hearing Josh's words, I felt a chill run through my entire body!

This was the man I had lived with for almost a year?

He actually wished for my death?

He had already been involved with my best friend!

How could I have been so blind to fall for him?

"Alright, we still need to be careful these days. We can't let things fall apart at this critical moment, right? Okay, I'll hang up now. Mwah... bye!"

Hearing this, I quietly backed out of the door.

I went straight to the elevator and down to the first floor, sat in a gazebo in the neighborhood park.

Right now, I really didn't want to see Josh!

I was worried I might lose my temper and confront him!

But I couldn't do that now!

Because I didn't have any evidence of Josh's infidelity!

Even if I should divorce him, I wouldn't want him to get a single penny of my assets!

For as long as Emily can remember, she has wanted to overcome her shyness and explore her sexuality. Still, everything changes when she receives an invitation to visit one of the town's most prestigious BDSM clubs, DESIRE'S DEN. On the day she chose to peruse the club, she noticed three men, all dressed in suits, standing on the upper level, near the railing. Despite her limited vision, she persisted in fixating on them. Their towering statues belied the toned bodies concealed by their sharply tailored suits-or so she could tell. The hair of two of them was short and dark, and the third had light brown-possibly blond-hair that reached the shoulders. The dark, crimson background incised their figures, exuding an air of mystery and strength. They stood in stark contrast to the unfiltered, primal energy that pulsed through the club. Shocked by the desires these men aroused in her, she was disappointed to learn that they were masters seeking a slave to divide and conquer. She couldn't afford the fee, and she also realized that they were outside her league. Emily hurriedly left the club, feeling disappointed and depressed, unaware that she had also caught the group's attention. A world of wicked pleasure, three handsome men. Over the years, they have lived a life of decadence, their lavish lair serving as a stage for their most sinister desires. But despite the unending parade of willing subjects, one woman sticks out. A mysterious stranger with white porcelain skin and a killer body, a slave, a name with no address, the first lady to attract their eye and they will go to any length to obtain her no matter the consequences.
