I knocked softly on his door with the documents he had sent me to get in my hands. The sexual tension between us had undeniably grown tenfold. I opened the door and peered inside before I entered. He was in his chair typing away on his computer with a serious look on his face.

I entered and placed the documents on his table. He didn't lift his eyes to acknowledge me. It was like I hadn’t entered the room. Part of me was hurt that he was dismissing me after what had happened between us just the previous day, but the rational part of me argued that it was better that way.

I turned around to leave but he spoke, “ is this all? “

I turned around and his eyes were still on his computer. I didn’t want to admit that I wanted him to look at me, to see me. But I had no right.

“ Y-yes, “ I answered and walked on.

I opened the door to leave but as fast as it had opened, it was shoved closed by Alec’s big hand. I could feel his presence behind me, too close to my body. My heart was beating so fast that it was threatening to burst out of my chest. He moved even closer to my body so that his lips were hovering above my ear. I could feel his breath fanning me and it was driving me crazy.

“ Katia…”

The sound of my name on his lips made me lean into him so our bodies were touching. My brain turned to mush whenever he touched me. I didn’t think of anything or anyone else but him. He put his arm around my waist and pulled me to his body with his other arm right below my breasts. My lips parted.

My body was on fire and electricity ran through my veins. Only he had the ability to take me to another planet with just one touch. He turned me around so I was facing him. I stepped back and leaned on the wall making him smirk. His green eyes raked my body, darkening with desire. I felt insecure and shy under his intense scrutiny. He had probably seen so many sexier women than me.
