Rain hammered against the asphalt as my sedan spun violently into the guardrail on the I-95. Blood trickled down my temple, stinging my eyes, while the rhythmic slap of the windshield wipers mocked my panic. Trembling, I dialed my husband, Clive. His executive assistant answered instead, his voice professional and utterly cold. "Mr. Wilson says to stop the theatrics. He said, and I quote, 'Hang up. Tell her I don't have time for her emotional blackmail tonight.'" The line went dead while I was still trapped in the wreckage. At the hospital, I watched the news footage of Clive wrapping his jacket around his "fragile" ex-girlfriend, Angelena, shielding her from the storm I was currently bleeding in. When I returned to our penthouse, I found a prenatal ultrasound in his suit pocket, dated the day he claimed to be on a business trip. Instead of an apology, Clive met me with a sneer. He told me I was nothing but an "expensive decoration" his father bought to make him look stable. He froze my bank accounts and cut off my cards, waiting for the hunger to drive me back to his feet. I stared at the man I had loved for four years, realizing he didn't just want a wife; he wanted a prop he could switch off. He thought he could starve me into submission while he played father to another woman's child. But Clive forgot one thing. Before I was his trophy wife, I was Starfall-the legendary voice actress who vanished at the height of her fame. "I'm not jealous, Clive. I'm done." I grabbed my old microphone and walked out. I'm not just leaving him; I'm taking the lead role in the biggest saga in Hollywood-the one Angelena is desperate for. This time, the "decoration" is going to burn his world down.

Seconds then minutes ticks by on the clock. I wonder when time will guide us to our inevitable death and whether are there other worlds that have the same concept of an ending. sigh, What sins have I done to deserve such eternal torment? All I can do now is wait for death itself to arrive and harbor the living souls to the afterlife.

The first few words I heard were faint, then it soon got louder. In the end, I woke up in shock.

"Katsumi? Katsumi! Wake up, stop sleeping in the middle of class,"

"Oh? yes, sir?"

"Now, could you please read page 57 on the English textbook and stop sleeping again in class."

As I read the text, time passed on, and soon it was already lunch. Afterward, I thought to myself what that dream was about. I hope that doesn't happen to me or anyone else. Anyways, I do not want to think too hard about that, I'm happy it's lunch. Now I can eat my favorite bento with Yuki and Senzou.

I looked behind me and I didn't see Yuki anywhere. Now I'm worried about where he went to, usually, he doesn't like leaving his desk. I hope he doesn't get involved with some delinquents yesterday and now he has to deal with them.

*Door creaks open*

"Ah, there you are Yuki. I've been searching for you, why are you on the school's roof anyways?"

"Katsumi...I have a few questions to ask you. Firstly, what will you do if we are all gone? And if you were alone what would you do?" Yuki asked, dubious but eager nonetheless.

"Hmm, the first thing I would think to myself is why was everyone gone? And I would be sad if my friends and family were gone too because I care too much for you guys and I could never fathom such a thing to happen so quickly."

"Katsumi, do you think Senzou is a better friend than I am?"
