Ghost torment

"Thea, I have a work dinner tonight and will be back late. I've already prepared dinner; you just need to heat it up. Make sure to eat on time. Love you!"

The voice was gentle and low, filled with affection. Anyone who heard it would have no doubt about the speaker's love.

I quietly listened to the voice message, staring blankly at the sunlight filtering through the white curtains.
