Her parents were shocked to the point of frozen. They know that she was willful since birth but they hadn’t expected that one day she would bring a man with her and declare herself as his wife and announce that she is moving out with her husband and that they don’t have any call on her marriage.

Even if they had given her freedom more than one could expect but wasn’t it too far that they were informed of their daughter's wedding when she was already married?

Surprisingly, Sandra's mother wasn't looking as angry as she had expected. She was looking quite happy and even blessed her daughter. On the contrary, her father was finding it difficult to hide his unhappiness. He was showing complicated emotions on his face. It seemed like he had a lot to say, but in the end, he endured his displeasure and didn’t say a word.

After taking a blessing from Mrs. Morgan, they left her home. She quietly followed him while holding his hands.

After a journey of half an hour, the car stopped. Just as she thought that they had arrived at his home, her eyes bewildered in shock as all that she could see was a big plain with no buildings around but a private plane...

“ This… where are we? ” she chuckled,

He didn’t reply, instead, he held her hands gently, neither too loose nor too tight, and took her inside the plane.

“ I thought we are going to your home, ” she said with puzzled eyes,

“ Have patience, my wife. We are indeed heading to my residence, ” he replied with a gentle voice,

“ But.. ” she paused, seeing him elegantly reading a newspaper. She chooses not to ask him again. If he wanted to tell her, he would have already without asking and if he didn’t want to tell her, then no matter how many times she asks, the result will be the same.

She hadn't slept last night and early in the morning, he took her to the marriage bureau, her whole body was cracking in pain. All she wanted was a good sleep.

She was rubbing her neck, trying to give it a massage. He seemed to notice it as he asked, “ Are you feeling sleepy? ”

“ Ah.. ”

She chuckled, didn’t know how to reply. Ever since she agreed to marry him, he had become too gentle and polite to her, always calling her ‘Honey’, ‘ Wife’ or ‘ Dear’. It's not like he hadn’t called her with affectionate words before, but earlier his voice seemed to be filled with laughter and mockery but now one could feel the sincerity behind these words. It seems like the person she knew before, who was her nightmare, was a completely different person, and the person sitting next to her is a different one. She can't help but be confused about how to treat him. The way, she used to treat him earlier or the way he is treating her now?

Seeing that she is not replying, he gently placed her head on his shoulder before saying with low volume, “ Rest here.. I'll wake you up once we arrive, and don't worry, I have taken care of everything, ”

Although he didn’t say what he had taken care of, she knew what he was talking about. Since he said these words, she felt so relieved as if she had escaped from a bloody battle and got a place to rest in peace. She didn’t mind leaning her head on his shoulder as she closed her eyes to take a nap.
