The Alpha King Call Boy

Veronica's POV

The room was beautified with different ornaments, and the bulb was bright. The bed has a pink cover. There I was in the middle of the bed, seated with deep thoughts pressing on my mind.

'Why is he not picking up his calls?' I thought in my head, rolling my eyes sideways. I tried reaching him again and again, but he wasn't picking up.

'What could be happening?' I panicked, knowing fully that I was about to be married.

I couldn't take it anymore. As I was about to drag myself out of the bed,

'Ash!' I groaned, being reminded of that accident. Although it wasn't a fatal one. But the pain still cut deep into me.

Even with the deep pain, I dragged myself from the bed, and I walked outside the room.

"Where are you going, Veronica?" My stepsister, Matilda, arched her eyebrows. Wanting to pry into my affairs as she always does.

That reminded me of the day I crawled into this house with my clothes stained with blood. I could see the dark smile on her face.

I hissed silently without giving ear to whatever she had in her mouth to say. I walked out of the house, took a ride, and headed for my boyfriend's house.

It took me only a few minutes to get there. Getting there, I knocked on the door several times, but no one responded.

'What could be happening?' I thought in my head, thinking he might not be at home. Instead of taking my leave, I didn't know what pushed me to press the door.

To my realisation, the door opened. The first thing I saw when I stepped inside was a lady's shoe.

"This shoe?" I mumbled inaudibly, picking it up and scrutinising it for a moment. It looks too familiar.

I dropped the shoe down only to see a woman's underwear lying on the ground. With just some steps in, I could see my man's trousers and pants on his blue couch.

'Could it be that Davis is cheating on me?' The moment I thought of that, I felt my heart tightening against my chest and the pain crept in.

'No, that's impossible.' I countered that thought, still trusting in my man, the love of my life.

Stepping closer to his room, I started hearing romantic sounds. With that sound getting into my ear as I closed the proximity, tears laced underneath my eyes.

Getting to his door, I didn't bother to knock, but I just opened up. Only to see my boyfriend cheating on me with the lady he introduced to me as his secretary.

"What the fuck?! Davis!!!" I called his name as I beheld the unbelievable. That my boyfriend would be cheating on me with his secretary, the one he termed ugly?

I couldn't believe my eyes as tears dropped down my cheek.

My voice startled him, and that made him stop his sexual action.

"Veronica, what the hell are you doing here?" His face hurtled with anger.

That question slapped me in the face. "Have you gone nuts? You are cheating on me, and you dare ask what I am doing here?" I bulged my eyes while I flexed my muscles.

"What do you expect? Your presence is unwanted. Get out of my house, Veronica. I don't have time for your yell." Davis snapped at me.

I stood transfixed on the spot. "Are you asking me out of your house because of this whore?" My eyes widened in anger.

And immediately, Davis hit me for the first time.

"AHH! You slapped me?" Pain ran through my face while I held my cheek tightly. Still in disbelief.
