"Every night,i laid awake with your memories flooding through my eyes with the hope to be with you when sleep arrived" -Devon
Malacañang
As I run and walk, the tightness of my heartbeat and the pile of sweat on my forehead meet my two brows. I despise sweating.
When I observed the man's shadow at the far end of the alley, I came to a complete stop and turned onto the road.
"Captain, where are you?"
has already been asked. While running, I reached for my earphone and placed it to my ear.
"I don't know..."
I said as I came to a halt against the wall. Nobody could see me because there were layers and a male drum in front of me.
I reached into my pocket and pulled out three lollipops. I returned the two to my pocket, leaving the red one to open it.
"Devon got through,"
I exclaimed, my fist clenched. I took a look around. I had no idea where I was because it felt like I was walking through a maze. While upside down, I ran closer to the trashcans layer by layer. I ascended, and it was then that I heard voices approaching from behind me.
"Stop!"
it yelled once, but I didn't give it a second glance or pay attention. I went away swiftly after stepping on the top of the wall.
"Let's back off. They might catch you, Captain.retreat-"
As the pace intensified, I removed my earphone and placed it into my pocket. I'm not going to let them capture me.
When I saw Malacañang's main gate, I gasped for air. Because the others were after me, there were only two guards here.
When they noticed me, I took the heart attack gun from my pocket and pointed it at them.
For me, that was a cool foul play. Before going in the direction of Malacañang, I smiled. There were no more guards and the door was open. Before heading in that area, I first took the coal bomb from my trench coat and tossed it where the pursuers were still present.
Because of the walls, I have no idea where they are, so I just threw the coal bomb all over to be safe.
Done and dusted.
When I arrived in Malacaang, the crowd was already swaying, and I was shaken. He had already entered. There are also several open doors in various rooms, but I didn't go in because I assumed he had already entered them. I just walk straight with the heart attack gun in my hand.
I carefully scan the area in case someone appears out of nowhere and attacks me. I inhaled deeply and recalled why we were here.
"It's been more than two weeks since the president went missing, and he hasn't shown up; the others were startled, but they couldn't help but think he's just enjoying life."
The envelope was placed on the table next to the spy section, so we opened it and examined the contents.
"The suspected stealer section is just near Malacañang,he is where he is because all the major stuff, money, gold, and some jewelry, are still there."
Before heading in the other direction, I fixed my hair loosely and had a huge ribbon fastened to the back.
I'm not sure why he hid, but I can see a scenario in my head where something happened and he didn't want to face the media. All I have to do now is locate him. Then we've succeeded.
"What's going on here?"
I asked, looking back as a man emerged from the entrance, astonished to see me. As I watched him pick up his rifle, I took a step back. This man has a large body and does not appear to be Filipino, but he is dressed in the president's staff outfit. He inquired,
"Who are you?"
I didn't open my mouth, and he shot the gun in my direction, which I managed to escape. I cocked my head and smirked.
"We've been missing President so much, I think it's time for him to show his face,"
I said, removing my expression. As I gently got closer to him, I spun and played with my rifle in my hand.
"Stop or I'll shoot-"
I inquired.
"Do you know where he is?"
I noted the masculinity in his eyes as he was astonished.
"Perhaps he's here inside,"
I said, nodding once before pointing the revolver at him. He's here, I got it. The doors to the rooms were already open when I got to the second floor.
"Dang..."
I said.
There were a few more floors visible when I peered up.
I dashed to the fourth floor because only half of it was open.
He's so fast that he can search all of those rooms in a matter of minutes. I need to think about something. I don't want to waste time looking over every room here.
What happened to the president? To think, I closed my eyes.
"Wow, gorgeous,"
says the narrator.
When I heard that, my eyes widened and I saw Devon smiling in front of me. He looks exactly the same as he did before we left.
He didn't even give a damn about what he was wearing. I averted my gaze while trying to remember where I was headed. But this kid won't let me concentrate. He's looking in the same places I am.
My fist clenched, and my brow collided with his. I screamed angrily at him,
"YOU'RE PISSING ME OFF!"
before I pushed him and I started running. I should be the one to find that fucking president now that he's arrived. Devon's laughter could be heard as he followed me, but I didn't glance at him or pay attention to him.
"You're attempting to complete this task without me,"
he said, laughing hysterically.
My brows touch, but I continue to run. I was irritated by the statement,
"I don't need your help."
I don't require anyone's assistance, particularly his. I consider myself to be the best of everyone I've met.
I wanted to be at the top, so I glanced up. I want everyone to listen to me, not because of my own tastes, but Because,
"we're partners-"
"Can't you just stop up?"
Puckered when I questioned as I looked about. He's my partner, and we're both in charge of distinct teams, but we haven't picked you up since then.
I'm not sure why, but I believe I'd prefer not to have a partner.
He's simply added to the list of reasons why I can't concentrate or think clearly. He laughed once more.
It said,
"Meanie, Deborah.I will always give you what you want."
before speeding away. I clenched my fist. He's attempting to compete with me there.
I sped up my pace as well, but he was too tall and had a lengthy thigh, so you sped up. The distance that separates us. I took a deep breath and put it in my mouth to help me feel less fatigued.
"You might stop breathing if you keep doing that, honey,"
He said, blowing the air in my lungs. My face flushed with rage. Devon just laughed and ran while looking at me. I snatched the lollipop from my mouth just as it was about to be flung at him. I yelled at him,
"Fuck you!"
Before I shut the door, he smiled. He came to a halt and entered a room.
I was ready to pass it to him when I noticed him continuously moving the locked doorknob.
I tried to open the door of the room next to it after looking at it. It's not locked. The one next to it isn't either. Devon's opposite door was the only one that was locked, so I dashed over to him before he was shoved away.
"Get out of my way,"
I said quietly as I took my wallet from the pocket of my trench coat.
"You poke my heart,"
I said, staring at him when it was dramatized. As though it aches, he pouts and pats his chest. I returned to my wallet, enraged, to retrieve the lockpick.
I used it on the doorknob, and as it opened, the photonic disruptors that had been put in various directions appeared on me right away. I took off right away.
I photographed the scene and can still recall it vividly. I turned to enter the room, avoiding the photonic disruptors in the vicinity. But there's a catch: how do I search this room? I need to keep my eyes from becoming permanently damaged.
"Cool, disruptor everywhere,"
I thought to myself as I was about to map cheaply when Devon appeared from behind me and said,
"Can't you just quiet up and be careful?"
This isn't the moment for him to try to impress you with what he sees.
"Sure thing, if I don't do it, I won't be able to view your beauty"
He's got to be joking. Damn, I'm not taking that as a compliment. I was still thinking about how to start figuring out what was in this room, but I noted how black the surrounds were.
Devon exclaimed,
"Gotcha!"
"I shattered all of those disruptors for you,"
I said as I leapt to my feet and attacked him.
"Can you be serious? Or simply don't say anything!"
I was enraged as he glanced at me. He looked at me for a few moments before chuckling and slowly raising both hands in surrender. While he was strolling around whistling, I diverted my gaze and began examining the room. What's going on in this room? Dang! They put a lot of effort into making this space secure, but there was nothing left unfilled.
I looked at Devon as I heard a snap. He muttered,
"Oops."
He shattered the ceiling! I don't think he's telling the truth. To increase my patience, I took a deep breath.
He pointed to the floor and said,
"Uh oh.Found you, Mr.President."
I asked Devon,
"Are we kidding here?"
but he merely bent down to remove The One portion of the floor.
"What are you doing-"
"Look, the old man is here,"
I said as I approached him, seeing the president bound and gagged. He was pale and on the verge of passing out.
"What are you doing there, old man-"
"He's the president,stupid"
I said.
He was nearly eager for the air he breathed when I instructed him to get the president out of there. Devon cut the ropes around his neck and taped his mouth shut.
He murmured hoarsely,
"How could they... d-d-do it only to replace me..."
I was taken aback. He didn't keep his face hidden from the people. He was hidden so that he might be replaced.
Devon nodded,
"Oh... I got it, those ugly animals want to replace you."
The earpiece was punctured and reattached to my ear.
"Mission accomplished,"
I mumbled before turning away.
"Let's leave,"
I said as I walked out of the room, but I could hear the president insisting.
"W-who are you?" it murmured. I shifted my gaze back to him.
"Get well, president,"
I sighed and bowed for a few moments before turning around and exiting the room completely.
"Dang, girl! That was cool,"
Devon said as he followed me.
