Immediately after the last count she fired two shots at the mannequin placed 25metres away from her. Determined 28 years old Vanessa took off her sunshades.
She checked her scores through the microscope, She smiled as it hits the mannequin's head, as she puts her Pistol in her back into her pocket.
"I must say V, you're gradually becoming good...those 2years training wasn't for waste for sure you know"Lyla, her coach come closer and compliment her.
"All thanks to you Coach"Her lips jubilated as she beamed. One thing for sure, her smiles are not real.
" Lady Sasha would be glad to know you're improving"Lyla added. Vanessa removed her Black jacket as she felt heat. Only her sleeveless black top was on her and a black Shorts with black Boots...yeah, all black.
One could say that's her favorite color! Black.
"V?, Are you sure you don't wanna rub this awful scars on you?" Lyla suddenly asked breaking the silence.
"Oh...this?" Vanessa pointed at the big scar she got on her arm when she was 8.
"No....not that, the one in your heart" Lyla said and Vanessa knows where she was heading to. She doesn't want to remember any hurtful pasts, the pain is enough to bear.
"Hmm...I don't wanna talk about it please" Vanessa said as she put on a fake smile. She fight back her tears.
"Ok...Hang in there ok?"Lyla consoled but the lady in black doesn't seems to be touch. Vanessa just stare at the surface.
"Mommy!" A tiny voice from afar interrupted the two ladies and there they saw little Amy running towards them.
"Amy!!" Vanessa screamed as she run to meet her daughter whose hands was already spread out for hug.
She wrap her into her arms, they both felt warmth.
Lyla watched the mother and daughter love if only; if only they had a father it could have being a perfect Family.
"Amy, Why are you here? Why aren't you with Nikki?" Vanessa asked as they pull away from the hug.
"Aunt Nikki is boring! I left her house to come here... She's so boring mummy" the tiny girl with blue eyes said, twisting her mouth.
"Aww...Baby...you missed mommy that much?" Lyla smiled.
"Yes... Miss Lyla I missed her so so much even if she doesn't miss me"Little Amy teased, Vanessa poked her nose.
"I missed you more baby... come here, come"Vanessa pull her into a tight hug.
"Mom...am gonna die" Amy teased and laughed due to the tightness.
"Vanessa?" Someone called and this made them pull away, it was one of Lady Sasha messenger.
"Hey Stanley, what's up?"
"Lady Sasha calls for you"the tall lady said, bluntly.
Vanessa looked surprised "what for?" She asked as she glance at Lyla and back to Stanley
"Well, I don't know either" she responded.
"Ok... I will be there" she said and with that Stanley walked away. Vanessa turn to the little kid.
"Amy, mom needs to attend to something so play with Ms Lyla Ok?" She Pat her hair gently.
"Okay mommy" Amy said and with that Vanessa walked away.
"Ms Lyla? What about Khalid?" Lyla looked at amy.
"You know Khalid?" Lyla asked
"Yeah... he's also 3 years like me. I saw him once here, he was with you.... Is he your son?" Amy asked.
"No..my cousin but don't worry, I will bring him over some other time ok?" Lyla assured the anxious Amy.

"How is it going with Ms. Salvador case?" asked Leo, Damon's best friend as he walked in. He dropped a glass of water on his desk.
"Well, I can't figure out where that Object used to hit her head is" Damon touched his forehead probably frustrated. He took some water from the cup.
"Dude... you're getting so worked up why don't you get some vodka down your body" Leo said while Damon rolled his eyes.
"Guy...I need to get this case done with before Monday, and am not getting any cocktail down my body Ok? Am too busy for that!" Damon concentrate on his laptop.
"Huh... No wonder you're still glued to your Ex! Dude you're 32 for heaven's sake!" Leo muttered laughing.
"Well, they're so much ladies waiting for me dude and am off." He added and with that he was about to leave when his eyes caught a picture beneath Damon's laptop.
"Dude?..."He called as he pull out the picture staring at it. It has the name 'Sally' on it.
'Who could it be??'
"Who's this.... beautiful dasmsel?" Leo said and laughed lightly. Damon grabbed the picture from him, little bit angry and not so happy.
"None of your business Ok?...just get going" Damon snapped at him. He kept the picture in his pocket.
"Dude....do you have another girlfriend aside Thelma?" Leo came closer seeing Damon's reaction.
"Thelma is not my girlfriend"Damon answered.
"So that lady in the picture is your NEW girlfriend?" Leo emphasized.
Damon didn't give him response but rather he was just clicking on his keyboard.
"Damon....are keeping something from me?"
"Nope...can you please just get going leo?" Damon snapped and with that Leo rolled his eyes.
"I just hope you're not hiding anything from me dude"
"You know how much I hate lies"Leo said smirking.
"Well, I will get going now...I can't miss the club for anything"He waved at him and with that he walked out of his room.
As soon as Leo left, he bring out the picture from his pocket where he kept it.
Am sorry Sally....all the pain I caused you" He mumbled as he feel guilty and sad.
"You wouldn't have been in whatever situation you're now if it wasn't for me Sally"He said ruefully.
"I... don't even know what to say to you anymore whether to apologise or...." Tears rolled to his cheek.
