One night, while working at a bar, she accidentally saved the disabled CEO from the plan of an cheming girl. That man helped her pay off the debt, and asked Joyce to marry him. She just wanted to settle down as his wife in this arranged marriage, but from the moment he reached out to help her, the destiny bond had tied their lives together. The ghost of the past, the conspiracy of that uptown society was easy to split them apart? Both of them found the light of life in each other, relying on each other to overcome the storm. Joyce's life suddenly turned pages, with both happiness and sadness, but she did not expect to find love in that adversity. "Ms Joyce, marrying you is the best thing in my life." "Mr Jones, I'm willing to love you for the rest of my life."

Chapter 1 Normal life of Joyce

“... The low pressure area formed from the sea moves inland at a speed of 20 km/h, about 200 km southeast of the peninsula. It is predicted that within the next 48 hours, it will strengthen into a storm, warning of heavy rain and tornadoes for the East, South and North ...

Joyce hurriedly rushed out from the convenience store, holding a large bag of all the things she just needed for the coming days when a strong storm was about to hit the city. Her light blond hair was pulled back at the nape of her neck, and a few silky locks blew out in the strong wind outdoors. She was going to be late for the train, and she didn’t have a car or afford to call a taxi in the city with so many expensive things to be paid for a living. Of course, Joyce had enough money for her living but she had to sell her old car for an unexpected reason.

Joyce felt this year's luck was too unlucky. The Tarot cards were right, fate was inevitable. Joyce dejectedly sighed and ran towards the subway station hundred meters away.

It seemed that the vibrant city where she lived had grown even more hasty before the storm. People flocked to the streets as if tomorrow would be the end of the world. The supermarket was full of people, the convenience store was full of kids with big, muscular bodies that overwhelmed her with every inch of land and Joyce could only buy the most necessities to be found directly. Damn, the wind was getting stronger and stronger and her face was pale in the cold wind. The strap of the bag tightened in a streak on her wrist, creating a huge red mark.

F*** her treacherous ex-boyfriend, the bastard cheater with his squishy mouth. If it wasn't for her trust in him, she wouldn't have poured her hard-earned money into the volatile and risky cryptocurrency market and then had to sell off her beloved old car and smash all the debt on her head. After that, he ran off somewhere with his hot girls, and of course, with her money.

Joyce tried not to think about him. She was too stupid to trust him. Nor did she have enough money and patience to trust the law to find him and punish his crime. Joyce could only endure the hurt, pushing herself to work harder to rebuild from scratch. She pushed her bangs up in disarray, trying to cross the street in the midst of the rushing traffic.

“Oh my god! There is a thief! Someone just stole my wallet! Please help me!"

Joyce instinctively looked back. She had just in time to turn around and directly see a small man with stained clothes running towards her. He jostled the stalls, and then hissed as he rushed toward her like a whirlwind:

“Stay away from this f*ck!”

Joyce acted on instinct in panic. She quickly backed away as if to make way for him, but casually put one foot in his way.

Ouch!

Uh oh! So much pain!

Both Joyce and the thief fell to the street. Her heroic act caused the guy to be arrested immediately, but in exchange, her bag was suddenly broken and became empty. Tomatoes, apples, vegetables were strewn on the street, and she had a scratch on her knee that even scratched her pants.

Great! In bad luck there is more bad luck! She grimaced, consoling herself.

“Oh oh thank you so much, pretty girl! Are you okay? Come on, girl, can you stand up?”

From afar, a woman hurriedly approached Joyce, her meticulously made-up face contorted and constantly displaying extremely vivid expressions that made her suddenly burst out laughing. Joyce’s smile eyes curved like a crescent moon and she brushed it off:

"It's okay. See, if that's your wallet."

The people around had gathered, some grabbed his limbs, some tried to strip him of all his belongings to see how many things were stolen. That woman finally found her beautiful and luxurious purse, her red lips curled up into a joyful smile and she excitedly shouted out:

"Oh my God! That's right! Thank you very much. But your stuff is all over the place, so bad!”

Joyce sighed. She didn't need this person to emphasize her bitterness so much. Although she should regret tomatoes, vegetables or everything, but... God, what she could do when her personality was already like that.

“Please don't take credit for it, I am alright.”

The woman thought for a moment, then pulled out huge amount of banknotes, then stuffed it into Joyce's hand and emphasized:

“You must take it, without you, I would have lost this “baby”. This seems enough for your other stuff to be wasted already."

She ignored Joyce's reaction, firmly pressed the banknotes into her hand and thanked her again profusely before quickly walking away, leaving Joyce with the empty bag in her hand and a bunch of vegetables crushed under her feet. Passengers gathered and had chit-chat for a few more minutes and then hurriedly left just before the heavy rain was about to fall.

Joyce calmly looked at the scene of people passing around, but as if she couldn't believe that in just a few short minutes, a sudden thing would happen. She shrugged, dusted her pants, then looked back at the denomination of the bill in her hand, her lips still smiling an indescribably optimistic smile.

“Ough! It hurts. Shhh-”.

Suddenly in misfortune, there is luck! All that stuff was bought with only ten dollars. This bill could be enough to store food for a week after.

Although she felt a little guilty when receiving the tip from that woman, when Joyce thought about the value of the other woman's “baby bag”, she was determined not to let herself feel embarrassed any more. It was a Prada limited edition, my God!

100 bucks was well worth it, Joyce!

Then she shrugged, tucked back her long blond hair, and weaved her way toward the train station ahead. The rain was pouring down, hinting that a heavy downpour was coming.

A sleek black car sped past her and stopped in front of the line. The eyes of the man in the car suddenly froze a bit as he watched her vision merge into the glittering stream of people in the rain, moving to the other side of the road. Blonde hair is slightly wet at the tail, smiling eyes are optimistic and mischievous. Suddenly, he smiled.

"Sir. What's the matter?"
