Chapter 1 Impious son

The bright sunlight of summer strongly shines down, through each leaf, heating the whole road. Sometimes only a light breeze passes by, bringing a feeling of refreshment, cooling everything. In the midst of the bustling flow of people, the mixed sounds blend together like a faulty, noisy, headache symphony. Under the shady green camphor tree, a small girl with neatly tied hair was staring at the phone in her hand. Her willow eyebrows never dilated, helplessness gradually spread across her delicate face.

Tran Canh Lam sat down on the chair and sighed. God really knows how to tease. She was born blind, couldn't understand even the Google Map app over and over again...

Tran Canh Lam raised her eyes and glanced at the busy flow of people. She hesitated, not knowing who to choose to ask for directions. Unknown or unknown, suddenly starting a conversation with others makes Tran Canh Lam feel uncomfortable. But what to do now...she is currently stuck in a dilemma. Forward is dangerous, but backward is not.

She sighed, looking away boredly.

Nearby, not far from her, a tall figure suddenly appeared. As the jet-black eyes moved, that figure entered the field of vision.

From his jet-black hair to his white skin, he exudes a gentlemanly aura from that person. He leaned against the big shaggy camphor tree, turning his back to the bustling flow of people in the crowded streets. That son seemed to want to separate himself from the common world, to isolate himself from other fellows.

His face was slightly lowered, looking down at the glossy black phone in his hand. His legs were crossed, revealing his white ankles beneath the hem of his flat, unwrinkled trousers. Tran Canh Lam sat up straight and tilted his head to look. From where she came to him, neither too close nor too far. Through the gap in the frame of his sunglasses, Lam could glimpse long black eyelashes. His eyes must be beautiful too.

Putting aside the matter of appearance, she began to hesitate again. Should she go over there and ask him? Canh Lam the devil and Canh Lam the angel, each one of them gave very convincing arguments that made her head buzz. The confusion thus increased by one level.

Every time she was stressed and restless, Tran Canh Lam's respiratory system was harassed, making it difficult for her to breathe. Canh Lam patiently glanced at that person again. He lifted the phone to his ear, his thin lips moving slightly. Judging from his facial expression, she suspected he was referring to Milky Barkery. Tran Canh Lam is half happy and half worried. While she was still trying to stabilize that troublesome respiratory system, the tall figure was slowly approaching, bringing with it the faint scent of mint mixed with a bit of fragrant weed. Tran Canh Lam regulates his breathing, his face shows some difficulties. He approached, didn't bother to glance at her curiously, just like that.

Tran Canh Lam bit his lip, quickly grabbed the sleeve of his shirt, almost passed the bench. Feeling a weak pull, he was about to pull his hand away.

- Can...can I ask for directions... to the Milky Barkery?

Tran Canh Lam interrupted the sentence a few times, in her heart constantly blaming the deadly respiratory system. Even talking is not good, what will he think of her? Damn it! Her honor!

The sleeve of his shirt suddenly slipped from her hand, making Ha Canh Lam startled. The boy didn't care at all, jerking his hand back.

- Maybe.

From the moment the smooth, ash-gray fabric left his hand, the hope in Tran Canh Lam's body dropped to 0%. He did not have goodwill towards her, not willing to help her. Therefore, when these two seemingly ordinary words resounded, Tran Canh Lam was surprised. He acts one way, speaks another. It's the kind of person who likes to go against the laws of nature. However, it doesn't matter what kind of person you are. Just being willing to help her is enough to make Tran Canh Lam feel secure.

- Thanks!

She quickly grabbed her backpack and stood up, following his every step. Tran Canh Lam lowered her eyes and immediately fell into contemplation. His voice is neither too low nor too high, just showing his masculinity, and exuding an imposing aura.

She followed him, not knowing how many streets she had passed. Sometimes there are rows of romantic purple mausoleums, sometimes there are stretches of green willow trees. He walked so fast that Tran Canh Lam didn't dare to ignore, he only knew how to quickly follow. Can't blame her legs for being too short, can only blame his legs for being too long.

Tran Canh Lam walked quickly. It wasn't until her legs fell apart that she could keep up with his speed. In the sweltering midday sun, the flow of people gradually became sparse. On the empty street, there were only two people walking side by side, as if so close but also so far away.

She don't know how many roads have passed before he stopped. Tran Canh Lam propped his hand against the tree trunk, panting several times. She should thank God for still loving her to let her live or should she complain for exiled her with this kind of barbaric torture.

Not far away, he leaned against a tree, the phone was placed next to his left ear.

- Is there anything?

After a sentence filled with a lot of lazy carelessness, he immediately took the phone away as far as he could. Tran Canh Lam looked up startled. The shiny black phone suddenly rang with a hoarse voice filled with inner strength:

- Impious son! Do you want me to die?!
