Cursed by a witch from birth for the mistake of his father, Jason has to live a life of not being able to shift into full wolf. It is more complicated when he gets mated to another witch. "I would do no such mistake of taking you in as even a slave, talk less of my mate or Luna," he spoke with so much despise laced in his voice. "I also would rather drink poison than even breath the air that you do," I retorted.

Chapter 1 New Cub

"Is the news true?" Someone from the crowd outside questioned. "Tell us it's true," another added. "Hold your horses," the Beta of the pack replied cheerfully. "And yes, it is true and should not be a rumor. Our Luna is carrying the next Alpha!" With this new information, the entire pack blew up in excitement and in joy as they hugged and shook hands with one another in a celebrating tone. The alpha and Luna of the pack were the most happy that day and were ready to spend any amount in the birth of the child, be it male or a female.

They had waited so long to have this child and never wished for anything to go wrong. "We will celebrate till dawn!" Alpha said. "Oh please shut up Nathaniel," a feminine voice boomed angrily from the crowd. There was a loud gasp after her words to the Alpha and everyone cleared their way to reveal the imposter. She had blended in so well that no one detected that there was an outlander in their pack. Not only had she spoken so rude to their alpha, she also had the audacity to call him by name. "Rebecca, what are you doing here, you have been banished from our–" "So you sent me away because I am a witch? You chose this stupid little fairytale over a happy life with me?" Rebecca was furious and everyone else knew better than to stop her. "We both came to a conclusion and you agreed to it. You have no business here so leave," Nate commanded, taking control of his Aloha status, hoping she obeyed and left them in peace. "You deceived me!" She screamed, making list of the people flinch and younger children cry in fright. "But you know what, I will leave and you will never see me again. Of course I won't leave without a gift for your unborn child, whether male or female, the child shall not experience the feeling of full wolf transformation. You can try to break the curse but you will fail and you will also beg to find me and you will also fail. This is my parting gift to you," she smiled deviously and just within a blink of an eye, Rebecca was gone. ~JASON~ 20 years later.... The same story told, over and over for a thousand time. Father getting himself involved in an affair with a witch and foolishly making her fall for him, only for him ti choose mother and the pack over the witch. It was just like any cliche book someone could read in the library. My only concern with the entire story was why I had to suffer for his mistakes and stupidity. I was unborn and very unaware of the situation, meaning I had no business with their issues. Every other person in the pack had their first shift at age five and I was almost twenty years old and I was stuck being human. My only consolation was my ability to move faster than humans and also hear clearer than them and of course I had the alpha eyes that chose to reveal itself when I got upset but we all knew it only meant that I was just a mere man wolf. Like every other werewolf but in human form. I had never gone moon bathing or had to howl at the moon, I had never gotten so upset that I shifted or ripped an animal into pieces with my canines. All because the so called Alpha could not control his urges. At least I got that from him. How sad my life had been since birth. "You are being a big downer. It is fun and you know it. Join us," Jacob, one of the only friends I had persisted but I shook my head in disapproval. "I am alright here," I replied quietly but I knew they heard. Lighting my wrap of cigar, I placed it between my lips and sucked in its toxic smoke into my lungs. Jacob and Daniel were sparring, knocking themselves down till someone actually tapped out. To be honest, it was a fun game to play because someone always got hurt, which was definite okay for me because I never lost to the game it to any opponent. But I had won so many times that the game became a huge bore ti me. We three were at the back of the pack house, I was under the shade of a tree while the remaining two chose to let the sun torture them as they knocked each other down. They were the only friends who really understood me and never judged. We were the sons of the important people in the entire pack, I was the son of the Alpha, Jacob the son of the Beta and Daniel the son of the Gamma. Us three were not exactly what people would call best friends but at least we knew our places and never over stepped boundaries, we believed the tag or title best friend was way too over rated. "Hey boys," a groan sounded out from both of them as they stopped what it was they were doing to face Wendy. A member of the pack also, she was few years younger than us but she definitely was the wildest who're any werewolf would come across. Each guy had a story to tell about her in this pack and they all were nasty stories of what they did with or to her. I for one could care less about who she slept with or did not sleep with, she was good enough to satisfy me and that was all I needed from her. Wendy definitely heard them groan at her arrival but she chose to ignore them like she always did and walked up to me instead. As a fully mature werewolf, she was about 5'5'' in height and had a short brunette hair with a fringe that stopped right on her eyebrows. She always wore make up that sometimes made her look like an emo. And her style of clothing was always too revealing or a skirt. A lot of people called her names related to prostitution and I have watched her hurt them equally because of the same reason. But considering I was above her in rank and power, she never objected when I insulted her behavior towards men. She always said no one could quench a werewolf's need for the opposite. I just saw it as part of the package if being a slot. "The Luna will not be happy about the cigarettes," she strolled up to me, swaying her hips in the most exaggerative manner till she was exactly in front of me. She took the wrap from my mouth and put it in her, never taking her big brown eyes off me as she inhaled sharply before throwing the wrap on the floor and stepping on it. I guessed it was meant to be sexy for some reason. I never argued, I found it pointless and a waste of time to argue with the likes of her. "Are you two even dating? You are acting way too weird for the public eyes," Daniel interrupted with his opinion about us and his face held the utmost disgust but I glared towards his direction, knowing that Wendy always wanted more than just a sexual relationship with me. "No, not yet but pretty much soon," she grinned ear to ear but I rolled my eyes. "What are you even doing here Wendy?" I changed the topic, hopefully have her leave just as soon as she came. "I just came to say hi," she shrugged, giggling like a child in front of me. I definitely was not in the mood for her clingy attitude at the moment and since she was not ready to leave, then I had to leave them. "Alright, I will be in my room," I offered, pushing my weight off the tree I was resting on and making a move to leave them. "Can I come?" Wendy suggested but I growled in return, making her make off. Shutting the door behind me, I made my way to the bed and slumped right on it. I stared blankly at the ceiling, slowly drifting away into my thoughts. My room was poorly lit, just how I wanted it to be. The curtains were always closed and no one dared walk in without my permission. I had everything I needed inside it to last me for months, but my mother always insisted that I joined the pack for dinner at least. She always had her way to yap about me becoming leader someday and having to take up the responsibility on my shoulder. But if I had another opportunity, I would run away from all of this. Heck, if I had an opportunity in my hand, I would never had be born in the first place. Talk less of having to pretend to care about others who never understood what you went through. Always questioning and gossiping about my liabilities. Almost like they forget that I could clearly hear when they say I'm not that able to become alpha one day because I couldn't shift. I hated most of the members of the pack, the women were gossips and the men compared me to their sons. Father never helped, always training and embarrassing me in presence of every other person in the pack when I was younger. He always wanted a perfect son who could rule in his footsteps, but I never even wanted to rule over anything not even my own life. I had been able to escape their rules and regulations and trainings on becoming Alpha these few weeks, always staying put in my room and not drawing attention to myself. Even when mother got worried. They all needed to understand that I loved my own space and hated intrusion. Soon, my eyes began to drop on its own accord and sleep slowly took me away. "Jason!" I let out a yelp when I heard my name boom from afar. Rolling over and across the bed, I soon found myself on the ground along with a loud thud. "Fuck," I grunted, rolling on the ground before getting up. "Get out of that room this moment!" I recognized the owner of the voice immediately. It had to be her. "I'm resting," I replied, not making an attempt to open the door for her to come in. So much for privacy. "You have done nothing to benefit the pack, there is a meeting at Growlers pack and your father will not be around. So you and I will have to be present on his behalf," she explained and I face palmed myself. "Is that really necessary Mum, he has a beta for a reason!" I objected in frustration. "And he also has a son, I will not repeat myself about leaving that room again," she stated simply, but in an authoritative tone. "Fine," I sighed in defeat. "Good we leave in ten," she shrieked. That woman was something else, one moment she was the nice Luna and next she acted life we were being drafted to war. Usually loud and bossy when father was not home. I picked up my jacket and turned the knob of my room door before leaving it. I could never have peace of mind when I was in the pack or close to any of them. One moment it felt like I just needed to breathe to have peace with everything and next someone is yelling out in pain or pleasure or anger. Growlers pack was the last place I wanted to visit too. The Alpha had daughters who he had been trying to get me involved with at least one out of them. It was never going ti happen, it sooner I got mated or involved seriously with a girl, the sooner my father will leave his position for me to handle. And that was the last thing I wanted in life.

I received a pornographic video. "Do you like this?" The man speaking in the video is my husband, Mark, whom I haven't seen for several months. He is naked, his shirt and pants scattered on the ground, thrusting forcefully on a woman whose face I can't see, her plump and round breasts bouncing vigorously. I can clearly hear the slapping sounds in the video, mixed with lustful moans and grunts. "Yes, yes, fuck me hard, baby," the woman screams ecstatically in response. "You naughty girl!" Mark stands up and flips her over, slapping her buttocks as he speaks. "Stick your ass up!" The woman giggles, turns around, sways her buttocks, and kneels on the bed. I feel like someone has poured a bucket of ice water on my head. It's bad enough that my husband is having an affair, but what's worse is that the other woman is my own sister, Bella. ************************************************************************************************************************ “I want to get a divorce, Mark,” I repeated myself in case he didn't hear me the first time—even though I knew he'd heard me clearly. He stared at me with a frown before answering coldly, "It's not up to you! I'm very busy, don't waste my time with such boring topics, or try to attract my attention!" The last thing I was going to do was argue or bicker with him. "I will have the lawyer send you the divorce agreement," was all I said, as calmly as I could muster. He didn't even say another word after that and just went through the door he'd been standing in front of, slamming it harshly behind him. My eyes lingered on the knob of the door a bit absentmindedly before I pulled the wedding ring off my finger and placed it on the table. I grabbed my suitcase, which I'd already had my things packed in and headed out of the house.
