Chapter 1 Searching for a job
Ring!!Ring!! My alarm continue buzzing nonstop I have to stretching my hand and shut the damn thing off,although am still sleepy.but I have been looking for job opportunities for five years now after my graduation from the university.and I don't have any luck with it yet,you will be wondering what I have been doing all these years without any job,well am helping my mom out with her business.i have an interview by 8:00am this morning to try my luck again keep pushing harder until u succeed that is my motto.
i stretched myself and went inside the bathroom to take a shower and quickly picks out a black high waist skirt and a long sleeve shirt and black heels to go with the cloth,one of the thing I have learned in my various interviews is to look presentable.
"Do I really look good?she asks herself,her mother rises head from her sales calculation book.
"perfect ,i doubt he wouldn't fall in love with you first before giving you a job"her mom says
"GOD!mom please stop teasing me "Becky replies
"Whatever don't stay here and talk to me you are already late for interview her mom says.
"Wish me luck" Becky says and her mom raises her head from her sales calculation she was making "comehere honey" her mom says Becky walks to her mom and she stood up and embraces her.
"you will be lucky today and you will get the job"her mom says.
Amen thank you mom she says and she walks to the doorstep hastily and rushes out of the house. She arrived at maxxis company at 7:50am and she still have 10 more minutes before interview.she sat down at the waiting area and got herself acquainted with the environment.she was sitting down there when the entrance door opened and the most handsome guy she have ever seen walked in through the door.she couldn't help but stare at him while appreciating God's creature she was in a trance and obviously to the fact that someone is standing before her.she was brought back to the real world when she heard someone talking to her more like berating her "close ur mouth you look exasperating to me".Embarrassment is an understatement to what she felt because everyone's attention have been drawn to her even though that they are all guilty as she is but at least they have control over themselves than her.she was ashamed and wished that the group would open up and swallow her.okay I know that he is handsome and what not,but he don't have to be arrogant and rude he could have just ignore me instead of embarrassing me the way he did.
8:00am dot the interview started, when it reached Becky's turn,it turns out that the person in charge of the interview is the same guy that embarrassed her. She gave her self some pep talk Becky I know that he embarrassed you but you have to show him the stuff that you are made of,that you are not all about drooling after guys, that you have potentials. The guy smiled immediately he saw me the kind of smile that tells you that you are going to mess up.when he started with the interview he was surprised that she answered all his questions effortlessly. Luckily the interview went smoothly and she prays that she gets the job because is obvious that he doesn't like her because of what happened earlier.
