HOW IT HAPPENED: The Hidden Secret

A few months after the demise of her husband, Isabella Munroe is perplexed by the uninformed appearance of a loan company at their house, which her husband Brad Munroe used as the collateral for a huge amount of loan that he planned to payback with the returns on an investment in the stock market which failed due to a wrong speculation.

Consequently, the house and everything that is inside becomes confiscated by the loan company which renders Isabella and her two children, Lizzy, sixteen and Donald, twelve, homeless. Their father met his end being hit by a truck and died on the spot as a result of drinking while driving owing to the disappointments he met about his investment which got him in despair.

However, they need a place to stay and the thought of her friend, Charles Dennison, an engineer, comes to mind. She calls and tells him about her situation and he agrees to help her till she is able to get a place of her own.

Then over a while, she has been making effort searching the internet to get an apartment which could be affordable considering her savings but all efforts failed until one mysterious day when she bumps at a very cheap house for sale and marvels if it is real. She finds out every information needed to be known about the house and calls the agent's line attached to the page.

The following day, she gets to the location with Charles to check out the place. The agent shows her around and she consents to buy the house because she likes it and for the fact that it is cheap and affordable for her situation, she jumps at it in order to give a good life to her kids.

Few days later, they move into the house with the assistance of her friend, Charles and settle in with all their luggage. The house is already furnished and needs no much touches except a bit of rearrangement of stuffs to their taste.

Lizzy goes upstairs to get her own room and as she is about to, she notices a door locked up and after a lot of failed attempts to getting the door opened, she calls her mom's attention to it. Isabella therefore calls the agent to ask for the key to the room but he claims not to have access to it and promises to get someone, a carpenter, who could break and repair it afterwards.

The carpenter receives the call but says he will not be available until after few days, maybe three. Having this as a reply, Isabella beats herself for skipping the room while the agent was with her but since it is just a room and opening it is just three days away, she lets it slide.

At midnight, Lizzy wakes up to pee and notices her door was wide open and wonders who could have opened it. It couldn't have been her mom or her brother because they're definitely asleep and they don't even have the habit of opening doors and not closing it back.

The unexplainably strange thing persists and it gets Lizzy worried. She tells her mom everytime she notices the strange things but her mom finds it hard to believe her and assumes she opened the door all those times by herself unknowingly while sleeping. She didn't believe her daughter until she begins to experience some strange things around the house as well.

For the safety of her children and her own life, she puts a call through to her friend who willingly accepts their return to his house. While at Charles's apartment, the case about the strange house gets unraveled and they found out that the previous owner of the house, who was a pretty single lady, got killed by the agent who had a lustful drive towards her and he buried her at the back of the house.

So, her ghost got trapped in the house behind the locked door seeking for a vessel she could use to get revenge on her own death. Eventually, she possessed Isabella who persistently visits the house looking for a way to sort the case and have her house back. After possessing her body, she revealed everything that happened to her. And with the help of a detective named Dwayne Ronald and his friend, Luke Skywalker who is a lawyer, along with the joint assistance of Charles Dennison who never leaves her, the case becomes settled and the criminal gets the judgement he deserves.

However, since the case has been settled, Isabella should be free to live her life peacefully but the unthinkable keeps happening more and more which makes them to still stick around at Charles's apartment for their safety.

One day, Charles observes Isabella while standing beside her and discovers that she needs help. He then moves to her front, facing and holding her hands. He calls out her name repeatedly; "Isabella! Isabella!! Isabella!!!" All of a sudden, she gains her consciousness and responds.

"Yeah!!!... What happened?" She asks feeling dizzy and unbalanced.

"You lost consciousness in the house and I took you to the hospital but then, you stood up suddenly, walked out of the hospital, took a cab and came here all by yourself. We had to just trail you to understand what is going on." Charles answers

“Hospital?” She wonders. "Why would I go to the hospital when I'm not sick?" She asks the men who look as confused as she is because they have no answer to her question.

“We don't know what happened to you but Charles was so worried about you because you fainted and didn't respond to his call so he took you to the hospital." Detective Dwayne explains. "But we are glad you are alright.” He adds

“Yeah, thank God you're okay now, let's go home.” Charles says.

At night, while everyone is fast asleep, Isabella gets up and walks out of the house; it appears like she is sleepwalking. Charles wakes up at the sound of the door. He gets to the door and meets it open. He wonders who could have opened it.
