In the continuation of "My next life with my Villain ," we witness Nyla's forced marriage to an old man as she desperately seeks answers about her true parentage. Manipulated by her step parents, who promise to reveal information about her birth parents in exchange for her compliance, Nyla reluctantly agrees to marry the stranger. However, her heart remains torn, as her true love, Even, watches helplessly from the sidelines, overshadowed by the interference of her conniving step-sister. On the day of the wedding, as Nyla stands trembling in the grand hall, the groom's entrance sends shockwaves through the room, leaving Nyla and the guests in stunned silence. In a moment that sends chills down her spine, the groom leans in close, his voice barely audible as he whispers, "Do you remember me?" The words strike Nyla with a sense of familiarity and unlock a floodgate of suppressed memories, leaving her pale and shaken.
(Nyla's pov)
As I regained consciousness, I found myself in a dark room, disoriented and terrified. My hands and legs were tightly bound, rendering me immobile. Waves of sickness washed over me, and I struggled to remember how I ended up in this nightmarish situation. Fear gripped my heart as I realized that my life was in grave danger.
Suddenly, a deep, menacing voice pierced through the darkness, echoing in the room. The sound sent shivers down my spine. "There is no purpose left in your pitiful life," the voice taunted, a cruel laughter accompanying his words. I strained my eyes, desperately trying to catch a glimpse of my captor, but all I could discern was a sparking watch in his hand. That watch was of a limited brand, only three were made till now.
Fear consumed me as I realized the gravity of the situation. The man's words were chilling, and I couldn't fathom why he held such animosity towards me. I summoned all my courage and spoke, my voice trembling. "Who are you? Why are you doing this?" I pleaded, hoping to find some semblance of understanding.
The man's laughter grew louder, mocking me. "You don't need to know my name, little Nyla," he sneered. "All you need to know is that your time has come. Prepare to meet your end."
I felt a lump form in my throat, and tears welled up in my eyes. I couldn't bear the thought of dying in this cold, dark room. A glimmer of hope sparked within me as I mustered the strength to utter my final request. "Please," I choked out, my voice quivering, "show me your face."
A sinister chuckle resonated in the room as he replied, his voice dripping with malice. "You want to see my face? Well, Nyla, you'll have to see it in your dreams. Goodnight," he said with a venomous smile.
My heart pounded in my chest as the man cocked the gun, its metallic click sending shudders through my body. Time seemed to slow down as I closed my eyes, bracing myself for the inevitable and then shot me. What if he just shot me? Then why am I in my bed?
As I jolted awake in my bed, drenched in a cold sweat, I realized that the terrifying encounter was just a vivid nightmare. Relieved yet shaken, I sat up, trying to calm my racing heart. Glancing at the clock, I saw that it was midnight, the start of a new day.
Just as I was about to catch my breath, my bedroom door creaked open slowly, sending a shiver down my spine. Fear gripped me once more, and I instinctively pulled the blanket over my head, hiding in the safety of its fabric. My mind raced with thoughts of the nightmare, wondering if it had somehow come to life.
But then, I heard familiar voices, singing the familiar tune of the birthday song. Confusion mingled with my fear as I cautiously peered out from the blanket, my eyes widening in astonishment. It was my family, standing by my bedside, holding a cake adorned with flickering candles. The events mirrored my 18th birthday, but I was now 19 years old, making the situation even more perplexing. With a mixture of shock and curiosity, I couldn't contain my bewilderment any longer. "Wait, isn't this exactly like my 18th birthday?" I asked, my voice trembling with uncertainty. My mother exchanged a quick glance with my father, silently communicating their mutual confusion.
My father finally spoke up, his voice filled with concern. "Nyla, what do you mean? You're turning Eighteenth today. Are you feeling alright?"
I said "I am feeling well. I asked again, "Is it really my birthday?"
My mother beamed, holding out a beautifully wrapped gift. "Yes, darling, it is. Your special day has finally arrived." If that day is repeated again it means that there will be red dress inside this box and as soon as I opened the box there was red dress in it.
My father handed me a car key with a mischievous grin. "And this, my dear, is for you," he said, emphasizing the significance of the key.
I struggled to find the words to explain my inexplicable sense of déjà vu. I... I remember this day last year. The same gifts, the same celebration. It's like history repeating itself, but I don't understand why.
As my family gathered around me, oblivious to the turmoil brewing within me, I couldn't help but feel a sense of detachment. This was the same family that had turned against me after my 18th birthday in my previous life. My once caring mother had reduced me to a servant, my sister had betrayed me by stealing my boyfriend, and my father had cast me aside into the depths of the storage room. I questioned my own faults and the reasons behind their actions, but one thing was certain-I would not allow history to repeat itself.
Lost in my thoughts, my mother's voice broke through the haze. "Nyla, what thoughts are you lost in? We've been asking you for a long time now. Which villa do you want to party at on your birthday tomorrow?"
Summoning all my strength, I offered a faint smile and replied, "I choose Domain villa. It's my favorite and, well, quite expensive."
In the past, I had compromised on my birthday plans to accommodate my family's financial struggles. But in this new life, I had no intentions of putting their needs before my own. My desires and ambitions would take precedence.
My sister, unaware of the storm brewing within me, chimed in. "So, Nyla, you'll invite your boyfriend Oliver, won't you?"
My fists clenched at the mention of my stolen boyfriend, a remnant of my previous life. Suppressing my anger, I maintained a composed facade. "Of course, I won't shy away from inviting him," I replied, my voice laced with determination.
My sister's smirk betrayed her ignorance of the truth. She had no idea the lengths I would go to seek revenge and reclaim what was rightfully mine.
They continued to discuss the birthday plans, oblivious to the storm raging inside me. I knew that if I wanted to exact my revenge, I would have to play the part of a dutiful daughter, concealing my true intentions until the opportune moment presented itself. Tommorow I will show you my first day of revenge.
