Chapter 1 Disaster

Ayarr stood in the middle of the school hallway, she could feel a hundred eyes on her, they felt like ants crawling beneath her skin. Sweat dripped down her back making her sweatshirt cling to her skin. She felt her hands tremble. "No, I won't cry, I won't give them the satisfaction of seeing breakdown" she thought to herself as she ran for the the restroom. She could hear the whispers, saw people everywhere with their phones in their hands, watching that video. Her backpack slapped against her back, glasses fogged up, everything was a blurr.

She could hear the squeaking of her sneakers against the linoleum. Before this nightmare started, Ayarr had been in class remembering the date she had over the weekend with her boyfriend Matt, she couldn't still believe he picked her, her the school's ugly duckling dating the football captain. It still felt like a dream, when all of a sudden phones around her started to beep with incoming messages. She hadn't paid any attention to her surroundings until her phone beeped and she looked down hoping it was Matt texting her but the message has come from the school's gossip forum, oh how she hated that site. She had opened the link to see a video, that was when she started noticing people staring at her and pointing "Are you certain that is the same girl" she heard a guy ask from the back of the class. She looked back to see him looking pointedly at her. That was when she knew they were talking about her because "uggy" was the disgusting nickname they had given her, but she hadn't been called that since she started dating Matt a month ago. Ayarr looked down at the video on her screen and felt a sense of dread settle at the bottom her stomach digging in like dull razor blades. She clicked the video and the next thing she heard was her moans. She watched horrified as the night she thought was so special was played out across the screen. That was when she stood up and ran out of the class into the hallway. Ayarr ran for the restrooms, just as she was to turn the corner that lead to the shed restrooms she slammed into a hard, muscled chest and landed hard on the floor. She could recognize that scent anywhere, she still had it on her pillow and on the hoodie in her closet, it belonged to her boyfriend Matt. She looked up his muscled legs to the trim waist and stomach she knew from experience had washboard abs to his handsome face that was weirdly looking smug. She hurriedly stood up feeling a sense of relief, thank God he was hear to comfort her. "Baby....." she began saying till she looked up into his face and saw the leering grin on his face. "No.....why are you laughing?" she whispered and looked around noticing his friends behind him. Matt always moved with his five closest Matt always moved with his five closest friends. They were like a pack, teammates on the football team also and they never really liked her, they had always looked at her like she was beneath her, Ayarr had thought they just needed time to warm up to her but now she knew why. His friends were laughing uproariously throwing mocking looks her way. She looked from them to his face. Then she knew. She knew it had really been a dream. No a nightmare. "You did this? You leaked the video of our first time? Why would you do something like this?" she asked brokenly. She felt the dam break, tears flowed freely down her face, screw not wanting them see her break. "No", she thought, "I am just jumping to conclusions, maybe he is trying to save face in front of his friends". But the words from his mouth absolutely shattered her. "Don't act naive sweetie" he leered "the whole school already knows how not so innocent you are, not after that beautiful performance" he said as he held up his phone to her face with the video playing. Ayarr couldn't look at it. She knew what she would see, the candles, she in a revealing lingerie making sexy poses for him She can clearly remember the day he had her teased her on a video call to show him how she fantasized her first time to be, she had been very reluctant at first but he had made her feel more at ease telling her her fantasies are valid and he just wants to know more about her. She had recreated it and worn a lingerie that had made her feel very sexy and made poses at his prompting she had a felt a little dumb relief because her face didn't show clearly since it was late in the day and the lights were off except for the glow of the candle lights. Now she felt like a fool. The biggest that ever was. She couldn't believe she loved him, she trusted him enough, been very comfortable, felt wanted finally after so long. She couldn't hear the laughter any more, everything became dim, oxygen abandoned her, she felt herself gag and gasping for breathe. She stared at his beautiful green eyes, eyes she thought had looked at her with love and adoration but now all she saw in them was an evil glee. "Why?" she managed to wheeze out. "Honey, be happy, you just won me the money for my new Playstation". He said with a Leer. Matt turned to his friends "Pay up! What other evidence do you need to prove I did a job well done ?" he yelled at his friends laughing. Ayarr watched as each of them dropped a 50 dollar bill into his palm while cheering him and patting him like he won a lottery. She felt her brain disconnect from the rest of her body. She felt herself running, pushing people out of the way, she felt the pitying looks, the mocking looks, she felt numb. She had no one to turn to for comfort as she had cut off from her then best friend, Nancy, when she had warned her of just how fishy it was that he had approached and wanted her at the beginning but she had rudely attacked and shunned her thinking she was jealous, why she ever thought that her best friend could ever be jealous of her she doesn't know, she was drunk on the attention and the new status quo dating the football captain gave her back then. All she could hear is a loud buzzing sound, her vision blurred, felt like her brain had disconnected from the rest of her body as she burst out the main doors into the school's parking lot. "Watch out!!" Someone yelled Ayarr turned just a little too late and saw the car barreling towards her the driver looking at her in horror, the sound of brakes screeching, smelt burning rubber, then she was flying through the air. "At least I get to fly" she thought as she landed on the floor. She felt her bones jar, her head hurt, she felt so cold, so very cold. "So this is what it feels like to be hit by a car" she whispered and giggled then everything went black.
