Chapter 1 Silver Hair With blue Streaks

"Look who's here, it's grandma, hi Grandma!"

I ignored Cheryl the blonde haired bimbo and walked away from her . Not because I didn't know what to do or say to her but because I knew retaliating was going to cost her life and that would land me in a very big trouble, so to prevent that, I ignored and endured.

This wasn't the first time I was called an old lady for having silver hair to be honest. The nickname; grandma started since I was eight and I remember vividly how I had cried my eyes out, started covering my silver hair with blue streaks on it, because I didn't want to be called a grandma. But that only made the humiliations more worst .

The girls that were calling me names would take turns to yank my hat out of my hair and would run away with it, laughing with glee as I would chase helplessly after them with tears in my eyes, trying to get my hat back to cover my cursed hair.

Yes, I thought my hair was cursed at that time and had blamed it on my father because, he too had a silver hair minus the blue streaks.

I had blamed him for my hair because I thought the reason I had a wierd hair was because I inherited it from him because he too had a wierd hair.

But some how my parents successfully got me to understand that my hair was not cursed and that the reason my hair was the way it was, was because of my powers.

Yes, you heard me right, I have powers and not just me, both my parents possess powers too.

My father had the ability to control ice and water and my mother had the ability to control just water.

I on the other hand could also bend water to my will just like my mother and father. I also possessed the ability to control ice like my father but my icy powers are lot different from his.

He could control ice but I could make and control ice.

No one, apart from my parents knew about my powers and I decided to keep that way. Even my best friend Mira had no idea about my powers.

Although She had asked me the reason why I had silver hair with blue streaks I lied to her, telling her that the reason was because I was born with a sickness that changed hair color and she bought my story.

I felt a tug in my hair at the back of my head and so I turned around fast with my right hand in a fist, ready to punch the person who dared to touch my hair in the face but I was disappointed when I discovered it was no one but Mira, so I stopped before my fist could connect with her face.

"Gezz girl, it's just me". Mira said fearfully, giving my fist a wary look.

I sighed before bringing my hand down.

"what's up Mira?". I asked giving my red haired friend a smile.

She smiled in return before grabbing my hand, leading the both of us to the girl's restroom, slamming the door shut after we entered.

I raised my brow at her.

"Why are we here?". I asked in confusion.

"We are here to fix my hair". She replied, as she pulled the hair band she had used to tie her hair into a ponytail, out of her hair.

"Seriously there was nothing wrong with your ponytail style". I tried to reason with her but she was adamant, refusing to listen to me.

I sighed in defeat. "What style do you want?". I asked with another sigh.

Mira beamed brightly, showing her beautiful dimples before replying with excitement. "I want a French braid".

"Alright". I replied as I starting braiding her hair.

I knew how to braid a hair because my mother taught me. Although she was not a hairstylist, she had a talent to die for.

When I was younger she used to braid my hair in the most beautiful styles, but because I didn't want to be called my nickname I would cover it up on my way to school.

At that time I had also wanted to be able to braid beautiful hair styles like she did and so demanded that she taught me which she did.

I was a fast learner and so learnt to braid hair after a week of learning. After learning I started braiding my mother's hair in beautiful styles and also mine. Braiding hair also became a hobby of mine.

Mira had discovered this when she asked me what my hobby was and I told her it was hair braiding. She was excited about the revelation and demanded I braided her hair and when I did, that gave her the proof that I was capable.

"What's the big occasion?". I asked as I braided her hair. Mira's hair was beautiful, it was silky and long and was the color vermillion. To be honest I envied Mira for having such a beautiful hair, it was bright and colorful unlike my weird hair.

"Well there's no big occasion, just that Dave is in school today and I don't want to look lame when he sees me". Mira replied.

I rolled my eyes at her. I was not surprised by what she said at all because Mira would never and had never missed a chance to look presentable to Dave her crush and likewise Dave.

Dave also had a crush on Mira but my friend had no idea and I have no plans of telling, not when I was enjoying the show of watching the two of them crush on themselves without a clue that the feeling was mutual.

"I'm done". I said as soon as I finished.

Mira examined her hair in the mirror that was on the wall of the restroom and smiled in satisfaction.

"It's so beautiful, thank you so much Ray". Mira said giving me a tight hug.

I smiled at her before returning her hug and together we got out of the restroom.

As we both arrived at the hallway leading to our classroom, Mira suddenly froze to a stop, her emerald green eyes going wide in shock.

I was about to ask her why she stopped walking when I noticed Dave walking up to us.

No wonder she froze.

"Hi Mira". Dave greeted as he reached us, completely ignoring my presence like Mira was the only one in front of him .

"H-hi D-Dave". Mira stuttered, smiling nervously.

"I shall take my leave". I said already knowing that my presence wouldn't be needed.

I winked at Mira before leaving the two lovebirds alone.

As I walked to my Class the sound of someone sobbing caught my attention and I instinctively followed the sound, arriving at an empty class and what I saw was really terrifying.
