I am eight months pregnant, this child I am expecting is from my sister's husband, for that reason I have decided to have my son away from my family, I am in a very remote place from the city, which should be the happiest moment of my life, has become a true hell, it is for that reason that I want my son to be born free of so much hatred and with the love that only I can give him.
Eight months pregnant, the child I am expecting is a forbidden bond, a promise of love and betrayal. The father is my sister's husband, April. How did we get to this point? My decision to move away from my family and give birth in a remote corner of the city became an act of desperation. What should be the pinnacle of happiness has turned into a hell of mixed emotions.
My name is Ana Paula RincĂłn, and this is my story...
Our family, with impeccable principles and unquestionable wealth, adopted April when she was just a baby. Her origin is a mystery veiled by the shadow of the servant who brought her into the world. Years later, I was born, the sister who does not share blood ties with her. Our complicity, however, is unbreakable. Despite our physical differences-I, with white skin and sea-blue eyes; she, with dark skin and honey-colored eyes-we love each other like true sisters.
A year ago, Abril left for the United States and surprised everyone by marrying a middle-class man. My parents, eager for a candidate of our same social level, did not approve of his choice. But what they don't know is that April's husband is also the father of my son. A forbidden love, a forced marriage, and a secret that threatens to tear our family apart.
My sister Abril had not communicated with the family for a long time, avoiding the reproaches that would surely question her decision. However, suddenly, she decided to return to Mexico. The perfect occasion arose when her husband, a congressional doctor, had to attend an event in Cancun. It was his opportunity to share with our parents while he fulfilled his professional duties. Once the congress was over, he would travel to Mexico to meet her and, finally, meet the family.
At the same time, I had decided to celebrate my birthday with my friends in Cancun. Afterwards, I would return to the party that my parents were preparing to celebrate my birthday and also the return of my sister. Of course, I was curious to meet the man April had chosen as her life partner.
Everything was going as planned until, by a twist of fate, I ended up accidentally meeting my brother-in-law: Dr. Luis José Simanca. His intense gaze and enigmatic smile made me question everything I thought I knew about love and loyalty. What secrets was he hiding behind his white coat? How would he change my destiny?

**Chapter 1: Secrets in the Sand**
That weekend, I went to Cancun with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday. Everything was going wonderfully until I decided to go for a walk alone on the beach. The afternoon had fallen; I have always liked to feel the sand on my feet. I was distracted, enjoying the breeze and the smell of the sea, until I stepped on sharp glass and felt a tremendous pain that made me scream.
"Oh! How painful! It hurts so much." My screams caught the attention of a man who was sitting on a giant rock looking at the sea. He approached me as quickly as he could, and when he saw me crying, he asked, "What's wrong, miss? Did you get hurt?"
"Yes, I think I stepped on glass; it hurts a lot. Oh!"
"Sit here on this log and let me see your foot."
"But be careful; it hurts a lot."
"Don't worry, this is going to be quick." When he said that, I felt a much sharper pain that made me cry.
"Ayyy! It hurts! But what have you done that hurts me so much?" I screamed, surprised by the searing pain.
"I only took the glass from the sole of your foot. That's why the pain is so strong. But I'm afraid I'll need to suture a few stitches, or the bleeding won't stop. The wound is small but deep," he responded, with a smile on his lips that made him look more attractive than he was.
"Are you a doctor? How do you know if the wound needs to be sutured?" My eyes were filled with tears. The pain was unbearable, but at the same time, I could admire how attractive the man looked.
"Heheh, yes, I'm a doctor. Nice to meet you; my name is Luis José Simanca," he said, and my astonishment was reflected in my eyes.
I understood then how easily he had removed the glass from my foot. But I still had questions.
"Are you really a doctor? Oh, sorry! I would never have imagined it. Does that mean I actually need stitches?"
"That's right. But you still haven't told me your name."
"TRUE! I am Ana Paula, and I am terrified of needles."
"Ha ha ha. So, Ana Paula, you have a nice name. We must heal that wound quickly, or it could become infected," he said, taking my foot and pulling out a handkerchief from his pocket. He placed it on the wound, pressing hard to stop the blood.
"Okay, with this you can last a little longer. Come with me. My room is at the CancĂșn Suite hotel, just a few meters from here. I have my first aid kit there."
"What a coincidence! I am also staying at the same hotel, although I must admit that it does not seem entirely appropriate to go with you to your room." I didn't know how to express my reluctance to follow a complete stranger to his room, even if he claimed to be a doctor. But he seemed to read my thoughts.
"Don't worry; I'm not a serial killer. I'll show you my credentials. I am in Cancun for a conference with doctors from different countries. If you prefer, you can check it at the hotel reception. But I assure you that you should not wait any longer to heal that wound. Otherwise, it could get worse."
"It's okay; the truth is that I can't stand the pain, and the wound is still bleeding despite the tourniquet you gave me," I said, trying to stay calm.
"Very well, then lean on me, and we will walk slowly," Luis José responded, with his calm and comforting voice. I had no choice but to accept his help; it was that or stay in the middle of the beach with my foot bleeding.
Luis José was a tall, blond man with a tanned complexion. He looked like a heartthrob from a soap opera, and although I tried to lean on him to walk on one foot, the pain intensified, and the wound began to bleed even more. As a result, Luis José picked me up in his arms to carry me the rest of the way. (...)
Finally, we got to the room. He still held me in his arms, and although I felt uncomfortable, I couldn't help but notice how attractive he was. His perfume filled the air as he urgently searched for his doctor's bag. As I examined myself, my mind wandered...
