Chapter 1 Am I still alive

"Oh my goodness! I'm so tired!" I cried as I sat down on my favorite chair.
I'm done performing my concert tonight. It was fun but so tiring. I've been singing, dancing, and talking for almost 3 hours straight.
" Kimmy can you help me massage my shoulder," I asked my assistant.
" Sure ma'am Shanel." She said.
She starts massaging my shoulder and I close my eyes to relax my body when all of a sudden my phone rings.
"Who is the caller?" I ask still eyes closed.
"It's your dad ma'am Shanel." She answered lowly.
"Damn! What does that old man want now?" I said annoyed.
I open my eyes and answer my phone.
" Shanel! Where are you now?!" Dad shouts at me on the other line.
" Just what the F dad. I'm just done with my concert. I'm tired and I want to have a rest now." I said to him.
" Get back home this instance or else you can't go back home for the rest of your life." He said and then hung up the phone before I could give him my answer.
I inhale and exhale for a couple of times before I stand up.
" Are you okay ma'am Shanel? " Kimmy asks.
" I'm not okay. Why is he always like that? All he did was shout at me. He didn't even congratulate me on my successful concert. He can't even greet me with a simple hello or hi." I said patting the side of my heart.
It hurts me to know that my dad didn't appreciate me at all, not even proud of what I've become. I'm one of the most paid actresses in the industry. A lot of people were so proud of me but sad to say my family isn't. They just look at me like I'm the most disgusting woman in the world every time I show my face in front of them.
" I'll go home now. Let my manager know that I have to go back home." I said to her before I started walking heading into the parking lot.
I use my baby sports car. I was humming together with the music in my car when a sudden light blinded my vision. In just a glimpse of a second I just see myself flying together with my sports car because a big truck hit my precious sports car.
"I don't want to die yet. I have a lot of plans in my life. Oh please, save me!" I prayed in my head.
One month later.
" What the hell is wrong with her? Why is she still lying on that damn bed?" Someone asks I can feel his annoyance from the sound of his voice
" What happened? Is he talking about me? Am I still alive?" I ask confused inside my head.
" Damn this weak woman!" I hear his voice again.
I slowly open my eyes to know who is that freaking man. How dare him to call me weak. The first thing I see is the white ceiling. I look around until my eyes settle on my left side.
"Why are there a lot of people here? Who are they?" A big question mark in my head. I'm so confused as I look at them one by one. All of them look so gorgeous and handsome but the question is why do they look so badass with their outfit? They are all wearing a black dress.
" Look, she's awake." I hear a woman say.
She was pointing my way and then all of them looked at me.
"Who are y-." I didn't finish my sentence when a big hand grabbed my pulse. He is not just simply grabbing it but gripping it which makes me look at him with my eyebrows knots.
" What the hell are you doing? You are hurting me." I yelp to him staring at my poor wrist When he tightened the grips on my wrist more.
I'm a patient here and I just open my eyes. They should call the doctor but this man is hurting me already.
" Are you done with your acting huh? You are not that great in acting slut maybe my parents didn't see how cunning and disgusting you are but I know you are such a great liar and a whore." He spit with disgust.
" Bro, she just woke up. Don't harm her." Said a man.
" She is just faking it! Damn, this slut!" I hear this man say again.
I inhale and exhale deeply. I'm Shanel Devan and I never accept that kind of words being thrown at me. How dare he say those words to me.
I count from one to five inside my head before I open my mouth.
" What did you say? I'm not a great actress, I am fake and a whore?" I ask using my calm voice.
I realize that I am inside the hospital and I don't want to tire myself so as much as I can control myself, I will talk to him calmly as possible.
" So you know how to talk now?" He just pointed it out.
" I'm not a dog who can't talk. Now, answer my question. What did you say about me?" I ask again with my eyes focused on him.
" Wow! She dared to talk like that to our king." I hear a woman say.
" I wonder who gave her strength to face our king like that?" Another woman said.
" Maybe an accident can change people's behavior. Hahaha! I know how scared and acted like a kitten she was before in front of our king but now look at her." A man said this time.
I glanced at him and saw how his index finger pointing my way. How dare him to point me like that!
" She doesn't know what she was saying, don't mind her. She is just a weak lady. A minute later you will hear her cry, I'm sure of it." A man said.
I gritted my teeth hearing what they had said about me.
"Who the hell is going to cry? You come here and look at my eyes. " I challenge him.
