Chapter 1 The beginning

Eldenwood lay in slumber under the gaze of a time-worn moon, blind to the creeping darkness within its midst.

Rachel's folks, unaware of the mystic forces shaping their destiny, basked in the glow of domestic mirth. Unbeknownst to them, their tranquil night was about to be fractured by Alex, a vengeful werewolf with unfinished business.

When the town's clock heralded the stroke of midnight, Eldenwood transformed into the backdrop for a sorrowful tale penned in crimson.

A heavy sense of foreboding filled the air as Alex and his pack stormed Rachel's dwelling. The night resonated with the sounds of conflict, under the moon's grim spectating of a dance macabre featuring claw and fang.

By a harsh twist of luck, Rachel's parents succumbed to Alex's ferocious onslaught. Their pleas for mercy dissipated into the still night, unheard by all except the lurking shadows of Eldenwood. The once benign moon now cast a foreboding light on the wreckage left behind.

In the wake of the savage attack, a shadowy figure, Brown, stepped forth. With a past intertwined with the town's hidden lore, he watched the calamity with a heart heavy with grief yet firm with purpose. His eyes, mirrors of his vast experiences, settled on Rachel's still body.

Moving with quiet resolve, the sound of his steps on the crisp leaves punctuated the silence. Murmuring ancient spells, he enveloped Rachel in a mystical force. The atmosphere crackled with supernatural power, and Rachel, once ensnared by death's grip, began to stir with a fresh breath of life.

Rachel's revival under the moonlight signified the intertwining of her fate with Brown's mysterious existence. As she opened her eyes, now shining with an unearthly fire, she was greeted by the face of her unexpected rescuer.

Rachel, bewildered: "Who are you? What's happened here?"

Brown, his eyes piercing through the gloom: "Name's Brown, guardian of Eldenwood's deep-seated secrets. Your time wasn't up that night."

Rachel, a blend of bewilderment and thankfulness: "Why save me?"

Brown, enigmatic and measured: "Our paths are linked, Rachel. Eldenwood's got layers you've yet to see."

Brown led Rachel down Eldenwood's moon-kissed trails to a secluded glade, home to an age-old witch, Mara. The grove buzzed with magical currents as Mara, adorned in her mystical garments, awaited them

Mara, with eyes that sparkled with insight, looked Rachel over. The woods seemed to acknowledge her, a newcomer marked by both misfortune and enchantment.

Mara: "Brown, you've brought someone shadow-touched. What's her quest, and what's she after?"

Brown, urgency in his tone: "She's after truths and retribution for her kin. Eldenwood's got a stake in this."

Mara, with a nod of understanding: "So be it. But rebirth's got its price."

As they spoke of mystical matters, the moon dipped low, bathing the glade in its silver luminescence. Mara, tracing ancient symbols into the earth, initiated a rite that blurred the lines between life and the beyond.

Mara: "Rachel, let the magic of Eldenwood flow through you. Awaken the dormant power within."

The grove thrummed with supernatural force as Rachel, encircled by Mara's chants, felt a wave of might flood her being. Her essence melded with Eldenwood's old magic, transforming her.

Rachel, amidst the surge of energy: "What's happening to me?"

Mara, her voice a calm reverberation: "You're reborn, Rachel. A formidable werewolf, carved by tragedy and resilience. The moon claims you now."

With the ritual's end, Rachel arose anew, her gaze alight with untapped power. The moon, privy to her transformation, endowed her with a destiny intertwined with Eldenwood's mystical forces.

I received a pornographic video. "Do you like this?" The man speaking in the video is my husband, Mark, whom I haven't seen for several months. He is naked, his shirt and pants scattered on the ground, thrusting forcefully on a woman whose face I can't see, her plump and round breasts bouncing vigorously. I can clearly hear the slapping sounds in the video, mixed with lustful moans and grunts. "Yes, yes, fuck me hard, baby," the woman screams ecstatically in response. "You naughty girl!" Mark stands up and flips her over, slapping her buttocks as he speaks. "Stick your ass up!" The woman giggles, turns around, sways her buttocks, and kneels on the bed. I feel like someone has poured a bucket of ice water on my head. It's bad enough that my husband is having an affair, but what's worse is that the other woman is my own sister, Bella. ************************************************************************************************************************ “I want to get a divorce, Mark,” I repeated myself in case he didn't hear me the first time—even though I knew he'd heard me clearly. He stared at me with a frown before answering coldly, "It's not up to you! I'm very busy, don't waste my time with such boring topics, or try to attract my attention!" The last thing I was going to do was argue or bicker with him. "I will have the lawyer send you the divorce agreement," was all I said, as calmly as I could muster. He didn't even say another word after that and just went through the door he'd been standing in front of, slamming it harshly behind him. My eyes lingered on the knob of the door a bit absentmindedly before I pulled the wedding ring off my finger and placed it on the table. I grabbed my suitcase, which I'd already had my things packed in and headed out of the house.
