Lolita POV
The night my life changed was tonight. It was the beginning of the days I knew what I was as a person, and what this our world truly was to me.
I promise you, what I am about to tell you, would blow your mind just the same way I almost lost mine when it happened.
So sit tight and read my words carefully. You might miss an important detail if you rush.
SEPTEMBER 12, 2025
SOMEWHERE IN A DESERT IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE.
He dropped the head of the last man he had killed, and then turned to me.
Now, It was my turn to die. That, I was very sure of.
I tried to cry out, to beg, to say something, anything at all, but no words came out of my mouth. Only whimpers.
I heard my heart beating. My body was trembling. If you were the one in my shoes, you'd probably have shown worse fear.
I mean, this creature killed all six of my hired bodyguards without dying from the bullets they had all shot at him.
He didn't even bleed. He just attacked every single one of them until they were all dead.
Slowly, like he had the whole time in the world, he walked toward me, the blood of every person that came along with me, dripping from the corner of his mouth and the tip of his fingers.
As he walked, his almost skeletal form slowly changed into a tall man with long silvery white hair, sparkling blue eyes, and almost red lips.
So handsome that his demon-like soulless eyes, fangs, and pointy ears were the only flaws he had. Remove that, and any girl would have fallen head over heels at first sight.
When he got close enough to the corner I was trying to bury my body into, he squatted.
"Stop crying, Lolita. I have no intention of killing you." calmly, he said to me. But I was already too overwhelmed with fear, I couldn't just stop at once.
So we stayed in that position for another five minutes. Me trying to stop myself from sobbing, and him watching me stop.
Then finally, when he figured I had gained a little of my composure back, he straightened to his feet and then offered his hand to pull me up.
My eyes went to the blood soaked hands he offered, but I didn't accept it.
How could I? The blood alone was terrifying, let alone the razor sharp claws he used to tear everything apart.
What the hell is he?. How did he know my name?. Why hasn't he killed me, I silently asked myself, at the same regretting why I had put myself in position.
But the biggest question I asked myself was, what have I done?.
For the first time in my life I was scared of the unknown.
" Come on. The sun is about to rise." he implored again, gesturing with his outstretched hand, still, I didn't move.
"Please just let me go. I am very sorry I came here. I know I shouldn't have........"
"Don't apologize, Lolita De Vasquez." he said my name again, making me wonder how he knew. In the space of ten minutes, all I had been doing was wonder. " You were destined to be here. You are my redeemer." he paused, as though allowing what he had said to sink into my head, " Now let's go. This cave is creeping with demonbogs and demonbogs love human blood."
He lowered again, reached for me and then effortlessly pulled me into his arms.
