My only mistake was replying; I shouldn't have yelled back at Paul, but I was tired and burned out from work.

His eyes widen at my sudden outburst. He stood up from the chair and walked towards me.

It was like a predator walking towards his prey; his eyes were deadly, and I shuddered in fear.

"What this you just do?" He asked in a menacing tone.

"I...I am," I stated but I was abruptly cut off when Paul yanked my hair and threw me across the room.

I crashed into the table, and it broke, tearing my skin as I fell. Paul noticed this and came to his senses.

I glared at him, trying to hold back the tears that were forming in my eyes.

I didn't respond to him, I ignored him instead. Trying to stop his arm from bleeding.

When he noticed I didn't respond, he pulled my hair, turning my face towards him. I cried out in pain.

"You listen to me when I'm talking to you." He said, pulling harder.

"Please stop hurting me," I whispered

"Then answer me when I'm talking to you." He loosened his grip on my hair and stared at me.

"You know I love you, right?" He asked, and I nodded my head in response.

"You know I would do anything for you, right?" He asked again, stroking my face.

"Yes," I replied, turning my face into his palm. Seeking comfort in his touch.

"Then why do you make me hurt you? Why do you push me so hard till I hurt you?"

"I'm sorry." I apologized
