Chapter 1 Love unscripted

In the quaint village, Prince, a soft-spoken introvert in his early twenties, lived a solitary life in the house his parents left behind. He found solace in the quiet rhythms of the barber shop and the pages of his favorite books. Meanwhile, seventeen-year-old Callie, a bright and ambitious high school student, balanced her academic pursuits with creative writing and the occasional escapades with her tight-knit circle of friends.

Despite their differing paths, Prince and Callie's lives were woven together by the fabric of their community, awaiting the moment when their stories would intersect.

It was a typical day at the fast food shop, with Callie and her friends passing time playing truth or dare. Suddenly, a group of college friends walked in, and one of them spotted Prince, a notoriously introverted guy.

"Hey, isn't that the guy who's always alone?" one friend asked.

" Yeah, I've never seen him with a girl," another replied.

A mischievous grin spread across Callie's friend's face. "I dare you, Callie, to make him fall in love with you within a month"

Callie raised an eyebrow. "Impossible! How can someone fall for someone else in just a month?"

But her friends were persistent. "We know he's not interested in girls, but we also know his type. You're perfect for this challenge."

As they egged her on, one of their friends captured the moment on camera for social media content.

"Your game starts now," they chimed in unison.

Callie hesitated, then shrugged. "Fine, I'll take the challenge. But if I succeed, you guys owe me big time."And with that, the dare was set in motion.

Callie spent the first week procrastinating, unsure how to approach the challenge. Her friends constantly asked about her progress, and she found herself lying, saying she was "getting close" to Prince.

But the truth was, she hadn't made any moves.

Feeling guilty and pressured, Kali decided to take action. She began scrolling through her Facebook, searching for inspiration. That's when she saw it – a friend request notification.

Curious, she clicked on the profile picture. Her heart skipped a beat.

It was Prince.

"Wow, what are the chances?" Callie thought.

She hesitated for a moment before accepting the request.

As soon as she did, Prince sent her a message: "Hey, I saw you at the fast food shop last week. Thought I'd say hi."

Callie's mind raced. Was this fate intervening?

She typed out a response, trying to sound casual: "Hey! Yeah, I remember seeing you too. How's it going?"

The conversation flowed easily, and Callie found herself enjoying Prince's witty humor and thoughtful questions. Was this the start of something real?Or was she just playing the game? .

As Callie and Prince's conversations flowed effortlessly, their connection deepened. They discovered shared interests and planned their diets to match. Their meetup was a resounding success, and Kali found herself spending more time with Prince.

She stopped updating her friends, simply saying, "I'm busy with my game." But the truth was, she was enjoying Prince's company immensely.

On a rainy day, Callie texted Prince, asking if he was free. He replied, "I'm at the barber shop." She showed up, and everyone's eyes were on them. But they didn't care; they were lost in conversation.

As the rain intensified, Prince walked Callie home, sharing her umbrella. Their proximity sparked a newfound intimacy.

As they strolled, they passed by the fast food shop where Callie's friends were waiting. The group erupted in screams and applause, drawing attention."Quick, Prince, go back!" Callie whispered, her face flushing.

Prince pulled her into a warm hug. "Thanks for today, Callie. You made my day."As they parted ways, Callie's friends swarmed her, demanding updates on "the game."

"Almost finished," Callie replied with a smile, before hurrying home. Her friends exchanged knowing glances. Was Callie truly playing the game, or had she fallen for Prince?
