She suddenly becomes pregnant after having a passionate one-night encounter with Javier Hills, a stranger she believes she won't see again. Months later, she learns that her son's father is none other than the mysterious millionaire Javier Hills, who vanished from her life only to resurface on her television screen as engaged to someone else. Secrets come to light as their worlds meet, and Gabriella must decide whether to trust Javier to be a part of their child's life or whether he will shatter her heart once again.
It had been a hectic week, but it was finally done. I'd survived the long nights, incessant coffee, and third-year examinations. It was the first time I felt free in months. I didn't hesitate to rejoice when my best friend Sarah insisted on it. She had vowed to go out only once. I needed to get rid of the tension, even if it was only for a few hours.
My heart began to rush as it had never done before as the neon lights of Club Crimson shone like a promise of adventure. The music, the scent of alcohol and perfume, and the buzz of excitement circulating through the throng made this my first time at a club, and it was like entering an other universe.
Hurry up, Gabriella! Let's dance! Pulling me through the crowds toward the dance floor, Sarah grabbed my hand. For once, I didn't feel uncomfortable with her audacity because of her contagious grin.
As the music's bass reverberated through my bones, I let myself lose myself in it and let go of all the tension thoughts I had been holding onto for the previous year. I opened my eyes to see Sarah already spinning, her laughter blending with the beat, like if it were a part of the music. I joined in, smiling and swaying mindlessly as I shook my head.
Sarah left me on the floor and went to get us drinks after a bit. I closed my eyes, moved to the music, and was totally engrossed in the night when I felt a solid, powerful warmth behind me-someone who was near yet considerate of my personal space.
I looked back, and my eyes found him. He immediately made an impression, towering over everyone and immaculately dressed in a black, well-tailored suit that seemed to be custom-built to match his strong physique. His eyes were keen and vigilant, dark, almost black in the low bar lighting. Something sent a chill down my spine, one that made me unreasonably curious but also alerted me to the need for caution.
His voice was sweet as honey and dangerously fascinating as he inquired, "First time here?"
I nodded, all of a sudden realizing how absurd I may seem to someone like him. However, rather than seeming amused, he seemed... intrigued. Additionally, I didn't want that attention to end.
I managed to add, "My name is Gabriella," in an uncomfortably unsteady voice. What was the purpose of my introduction? For one night only, this was only a club. I failed to need to recognise his name, and he failed to need to recognise mine. However, I was unable to resist.
His head dipped slightly, as if he was thinking about me. "Javier," he said. Furthermore, it seemed as if he kept that information to himself.
Before I realized it, we were laughing and chatting about things I could hardly recall. Minute after minute, his eyes darkened, his fingers grazing my arm and waist, till I felt a burning in the pit of my stomach that was unlike anything I had ever experienced. I was aware of what was going on; I wasn't ignorant. And it didn't bother me.
His breath was warm on my ear as he eventually whispered, "Do you want to get out of here?" Before I could even think, I nodded as I glanced up at him, shivering and my pulse racing.
Soft lights and murmured murmurs filled the motel room. I was grounded by my racing pulse, which seemed like a dream, foggy and surreal. Javier had a soft, focused touch that was both overpowering and kind. For the first time, I experienced a sense of yearning that was unaffected by my background or my future plans. This time, it was just me.
The world vanished as he planted a kiss on me.
His tongue explored mine with such passion that it made my knees weak, and his hands stroked my skin, burning every nerve in my body. Uncertain yet excited, my heart beat, and I allowed myself to fully immerse myself in the experience. This is something I'll always remember.
His arms encircled me like a barrier against the outside world as I fell asleep, feeling more content than ever despite my exhaustion.
The Following Morning
I was roused by the gentle but merciless rays of sunshine that filtered through the drapes. I smiled to myself as I stretched and mentally relived last night. I turned over, expecting to see Javier laying next to me as I reached out.
The bed, however, was vacant.
I sat up and looked around the room, feeling my gut clench. Last night, he kicked off his shoes carelessly, and his suit jacket was gone. It was just me. Totally and totally alone.
With last night's high dissipating like mist, my heart fell.
"Did he simply... go?" I spoke softly to the empty room. Something in me wanted to chuckle at my own folly. I should have realized this was a one-night fling and that a person like him wouldn't want anything more than a brief relationship.
With a deep aching that clouded the excitement of last night, I pulled the covers about me and stared out the window. I didn't know anything about him, including his identity, residence, or activities. Javier was the only name I knew.
It was that. Javier alone.
The day went through in a daze, with each second replayed in my head. I stored going returned to the equal motel over the route of the following few days withinside the hopes of running into him . Weeks went by, however, and he never returned. Sarah advised me to forget about it, saying it was just one night and that the stranger had departed silently.
And I made an effort. I really made an effort to move on.
Four months later, however, I turned into status in the front of my rest room mirror, my palms shaking as I held a being pregnant test. With a pounding coronary heart and clouded eyes, I glanced at the 2 crimson traces that have been searching again at me.
I had a baby.
Carrying a stranger's kid. Never once more might I see this stranger.
