Chapter 1 The First Meeting
Running into the woods Makayla kept on looking behind her to check if the men were still chasing her. She stopped and sat by a tree resting for a while then she heard footsteps approaching, she got up and dashed into the woods "over there" one of the men said l. Makayla stopped and hid behind a tree panting heavily and reminiscing what actually brought this chase.
Makayla a girl with a kind heart and the only daughter of Roland Green and Jenna Avery who were both born into a rich family and were seen as the beautiful couple by others until Roland cheated causing Jenna to commit suicide leaving Makayla all alone. Roland later married Jenna's best friend Laura whom he cheated with and she brought along her daughter Nora who was older than Makayla. Makayla took them as her family not knowing they hated her to the core, she foolishly thought Nora was from Laura's first Marriage but she later found out she was her father's biological daughter since then she didn't want to associate herself with them anymore. Makayla was taking a stroll in the garden when she heard Nora and Laura talking to some men "I want you to kill that bitch Makayla because I don't want her to marry into the Marshall family understand" Laura said with anger. Don't worry mom that's not gonna happen" Nora said "what do you want us to do" the men asked and Laura smiled evilly "I want her to disappear from earth" she said. "Mom we should..." as Nora was speaking she saw Makayla's shadow and started walking slowly to where she was.
Makayla stood there and heard them approaching and took to her heels " She is getting away" Nora shouted and the men started chasing her "If you catch her don't hesitate to kill her" Laura shouted behind them " Mom what should we do now" Nora asked "Don't worry they will finish her off" Laura said assuringly
As Makayla hid behind the tree the men came running and passed by without seeing. The men went left and Makayla took the route on her right, she walked slowly because she was injured on her right foot. She walked for a whil and finally reached the roadside but as she was crossing the road she saw a black car coming , she tried to avoid the car but she felt dizzy and weak then she fainted.
In the car the driver pressed hard on the breaks and the car came to a stop "Phew so close" the driver said relieved " What are you sitting there for go and check on her" a cold voice sounded in back seat "yes sir" the driver replied and got down to check on Makayla. He bent down to check if she was still breathing then he saw she was injured "poor thing what happened to her" the driver said then he went back to the car " Young master she is injured and I think is serious" he said "Do I have to bring her inside" the man asked annoyed "No" the driver said carried Makayla to the back seat where the man was then he drove to the hospital.
