Luxana
I walked up to the podium, ignoring the rumours of the people around me as my legs shivered in fear. I wanted to burst out, but I was sure what I heard wasn't true.
"Darling, I think you made a mistake..." I whispered in a low voice as I tried to keep my face high and not let others see me cry.
"What is the essence of the guards in this pack? Your new alpha ruler just said Luxana Davis is now exiled from this pack." His words hit me like a bunch of bricks as I fell backward to be caught by the guards.
He wasn't even willing to look at me or say it to my face; he just ruined me so easily, so fast. How was I so dumb? I wanted to fight back, but even my mind couldn't let me. I was so weak inside that I couldn't even do anything.
"Uncle..." I called out as I was dragged past, but he was there. My aunt was there too; she had a mischievous smile on her face. I broke out from the grips of the guards as I scrambled towards her and threw myself at her feet.
"My uncle is still the current alpha ruler of this pack. Ryan isn't allowed to make rules yet." I looked towards him with hatred in my eyes, but he didn't even look bothered at all. But I... I was sure to be saved now.
My aunt burst out laughing as she bent to her knees, raising my face up to her view. "Current king... The current alpha king is him. Your uncle has been returned ever since; your announcement was just to help justify his sitting on the throne."
Justified? Justification... There was no way my uncle would give up his position for him; he hated him so much. "He was already the king? So my words weren't even needed." I muttered in shock as my heart cracked; so they had this all planned out.
"Oh no, no, baby girl, don't go thinking you weren't important. You were, in fact, very important. To be precise, without your affirmation, how could he become alpha king? With fingerprints and words, of course you were important, but where is where?"
My fingerprints... I thought as I recalled signing some papers, but it was among many I did. But this one's content remained hidden from him till this day, so this is what it's about.
"Then my uncle, where is my uncle? He would never give up his position for this rogue; he always hated him." She got up on her feet as she heard my question and chuckled once more.
"Why can't you still understand? Why do you think your uncle isn't here today? Don't you realise he would have been an obstruction to the plan?" She shook her head, looking away from me.
"Guards, take her away from here; she is sitting in my sight." They grabbed me away from the hall as I struggled to believe all I had just heard, but I was in for more as I saw the people lined up at the hall's entrance, throwing stones and everything they could see at me.
*Get out of this place, whore. At least now she is finally gone. How did she even get here in the first place?* I covered my face as the guards let me go, as if to let me soak in shame.
I tried running past the crowd, but it only caused me more harm and injury as they pushed me back in, and I fell on my butt. They cursed and cursed as I could only cover my face in shame.
This was what Ryan always told me he experienced, and he wanted to experience the opposite when I gave up my position for him. But I couldn't realise that he meant we would both switch positions.
As it darkened a little, the guards picked me up from the crowd and finally threw me out. Ryan really made sure to let me know that everyone in that pack for sure hated me.
"If you enter through this gate again, you are for sure dead," he retreated as he said, and I sighed in peace. At least now I was safe, or so I thought. Now I had no home.
I crumbled up in a spot as I tried my best not to break out in tears, but they refused as I burst out crying. Why was everything changed against me now?
Why did everyone hate me? Why did everyone betray me? My aunt, my uncle, Ryan, and even my best friend Lucy were not exempt, and all I could ever remember showing to them was kindness, even the pack members, but they were all so willing to come out and call me a whore.
I crumbled to my knees as years flowed down like a river. I had nowhere else to go, no time to sulk, but I was in no condition to plan, to plan how to live.
Suddenly, I heard the leaves crumble as feet stepped on them; someone was approaching me, and not just one but two. I quickly jumped into defense. "Who are you?"
They looked unfamiliar, but their faces burst out with beams of smiles. As I asked, I hadn't seen such kindness for a while now; it almost made me want to drop my defense, but I kept my guard up.
"My lady, I am finally happy we found you... Your uncle sent us to you immediately he heard of your misfortune." He stepped forward as if to hold me, but I shifted back, and this time I burst out laughing.
"My uncle? My misfortune? Wasn't he the same person who caused it? He is the sore cause of where I am today, and I am never going to forget, and you say... he came to save me?"
"Your uncle was framed; he would never do something like that to you," he said and walked forward again as I shifted backward with a knife in my hands.
"Lies... you are both telling lies." They both stared at each other as they launched forward, not even bothering to try to convince me. Turns out I was right.
