The radiant streets of Paris were alive with the soft hum of cafés and the sweet scent of freshly baked croissants. Lily, a beautiful young woman with piercing green eyes and long, curly brown hair, made her way through the twisting streets with ease.

Lily laughed, feeling a little more at ease. "Okay, but you have to promise not to freak out."

Sophie held up her hands. "I promise, I promise."

Lily took a deep breath, reliving the moment. "I was walking down the street, and I collided with this guy. He was handsome, no meant gorgeous, Sophie......like, chiseled features, piercing blue eyes..."

Sophie's eyes were wide. "And?"

Lily grinned mischievously. "And then we collided again, literally, like five minutes later."

Sophie cried out. "That's fate, Lily! You have to find him again."

Lily laughed, feeling a little more hopeful. "I don't know, Sophie. It was just a crazy coincidence."

But as she left the café with Sophie, Lily couldn't shake off the feeling that her life was about to connect with the stranger's again, in ways she couldn't yet imagine.

Lily's fingers trembled as she typed out a response. "I'm not bruised, but coffee sounds lovely. When and where?"
