Chasing After My Luna

In one of the bustling cities of the Netherlands, the city of Amsterdam, I desperately seek to find my woman.

I've been searching for her for months and today I finally got a tip that she's here in De Pijp.

A lively district filled with so many stores of which I expect to find her in one.

"It's the great Alpha, what is he doing here?"

I hear people whisper as I walk into various stores in search of that one person, the one that stole my heart, the woman that has been destined for me by the goddess.

I'm too busy going from store to store to mind my status, I don't care what my people see me as, a desperate man searching for another man's wife, a cheater, a foolish ruler, I don't care, all I care about is getting my mate back, that is all I wish for, to inhale that floral scent of Jasmine.

To hold her in my arms and plead for her forgiveness.

I was wrong, I should have never thrown those bad words at her, I should have stopped her from defecting the pack.

I was pathetic but now I won't let the chance slip past me, I will bring her home with me and make her my Luna.

I'm breathing hard, I haven't taken a stop in my search and the sun is starting to go down, I'm slowly beginning to lose hope of finding her.

It's like the goddess is keeping her away from me.

"Sir, would you like me to put her up as missing all over the district?" Cassius, my Beta asks, his tone laced with concern.

I exhale with resignation as I turn to Cassius who has been searching all over the district with me, his face is flushed, clearly exhausted from the endless walk and runs.

I didn't have to think on his suggestions to give him an answer. I know my omega;

I know the woman I fell in love with. She won't be comfortable if she finds her face on the billboard, she would hate me more if she finds out I'm paying people to search for her.

"There's no need for that" I say, my gaze shifting to admire the clouds as my thoughts drift away.

Even though deep down I want to lean towards his suggestion, I can't afford to get her to hate me more than she does already.

If I have to win her back, then I just need to be patient and wait for her.

If the goddess wants us to reunite, she will bring my mate back to me.

"Sir?" I hear Cassius call, causing my gaze to shift back to him.

"It seems we have found her," Cassius informs.

A rush of emotions floods through me, hope, guilt, excitement, and relief all tangled together in the pit of my stomach.

My heart begins to pound against my chest as I trace Cassius' gaze to one of the stores we are yet to search.

And there she is, her long ginger-colored hair packed up in a messy bun, her pale skin still glowing softly in the light of the setting sun.

A smile creeps to my face without me knowing, my gaze is fixed on the glass café, where she's standing, dressed in a server uniform, attending to a customer seated.

My steps are slow as I approach the café.

The world fades into the background as all I can see is my mate, the woman I've been in search of for months.

My fingers wrap around the glass door handle to the café, as I open it slowly, my nostrils taking the intoxicating fragrance of Jasmine leaves, spinning my senses and pulling me in, closer and closer to her.

My heart racing faster with every step, nostalgia hitting me hard as I recall our past moments together before it all came crashing down, before we both lost it all, before we sacrificed our happiness for others.

"Alpha Arthur, It's truly him" I heard some whisper from behind.

One step and another and then I halt, my brows furrowing as I watch the sight in front of me unfold.
