"There's no need for that" I say, my gaze shifting to admire the clouds as my thoughts drift away.

Even though deep down I want to lean towards his suggestion, I can't afford to get her to hate me more than she does already.

If I have to win her back, then I just need to be patient and wait for her.

If the goddess wants us to reunite, she will bring my mate back to me.

"Sir?" I hear Cassius call, causing my gaze to shift back to him.

"It seems we have found her," Cassius informs.

A rush of emotions floods through me, hope, guilt, excitement, and relief all tangled together in the pit of my stomach.

My heart begins to pound against my chest as I trace Cassius' gaze to one of the stores we are yet to search.

And there she is, her long ginger-colored hair packed up in a messy bun, her pale skin still glowing softly in the light of the setting sun.

A smile creeps to my face without me knowing, my gaze is fixed on the glass café, where she's standing, dressed in a server uniform, attending to a customer seated.

My steps are slow as I approach the café.

The world fades into the background as all I can see is my mate, the woman I've been in search of for months.

My fingers wrap around the glass door handle to the café, as I open it slowly, my nostrils taking the intoxicating fragrance of Jasmine leaves, spinning my senses and pulling me in, closer and closer to her.

My heart racing faster with every step, nostalgia hitting me hard as I recall our past moments together before it all came crashing down, before we both lost it all, before we sacrificed our happiness for others.

"Alpha Arthur, It's truly him" I heard some whisper from behind.

One step and another and then I halt, my brows furrowing as I watch the sight in front of me unfold.
