Flora was a vagabond at age 16. She's been on the streets as long as she can recall. One day, she bumps into a hot billionaire who turns out to be a werewolf and her mate. But she's just a puny, dirty human from the sewers, right? So the pack doesn't like her one bit.
Chapter 1 1
In a dark alley in Mazabic street of Tarz city, a sixteen year old girl lay on a very old, tattered blanket and used a thin worn out fabric to cover herself. She was shivering badly and her teeth chattered, her eyes closed tight. She was having a fever after being beaten for stealing a bun in the morning. She was used to beatings, curses and oppression- all because she was a vagabond. She hardly spoke and even if she did it was always a whisper. Sometimes some bad guys wanted to violate her and took all her might to escape. But she had no where to go.
She had no money, nobody to call relative.
She thought of what happened 10 years ago and wept.
"Mummy, Daddy, why did you leave me behind? I'm all alone here in this cruel world" she thought in her heart.
She needed medicine and food but she had access to none. Maybe it's better this way! At least she can join her parents. So she just lay there awaiting her death.
"Death, what are you hesitating for? Please I beg you, take me away. I wanna see my parents!" she cried.
Suddenly she heard a sound. It was a hiss, a rather loud one. She quickly rose up threw away the thin fabric she used as blanket earlier. She turned to see a rather large python gliding towards her.
She wanted to scream so bad but knew it wasn't a good time. She's been praying for death to come but she didn't wanna die in this manner.
No, she won't die this way. She's already in so much pain. She immediately ran out with newfound strength and speed. Thoughts of hunger, pain and death had long flown away from her mind. The only thought in her mind right now was to survive!
She ran out of the alley and kept running not looking back even when she entered midst of people. She finally stopped when she thought she was far enough and might be safe. But when she looked around, her heart beat 200 times faster.
"How...how did I get here?" she thought in surprise.
She was in a forest! Heavens, what kind of sick joke was this? She's been running from a python but she ran into a forest- a home for thousands of them.
Probably, this was her death place destined. She looked around and saw a tree with fruits that smelled good.
Ha! Since she would die anyway, why not fill her stomach first.
So she ran towards the tree and climbed it. When she was about to touch a red fruit, the branch suddenly broke and down she went.
"Indeed, this is my death place. At least, I won't rot. Hungry wildlife can share my meat, though I doubt I have any. Hahaha, goodbye world" she thought in her heart. But just when she was about to hit the ground, a hand held her and prevented her from hitting the ground. She immediately felt electric sparks from around her waist leading up to her heart which beat wildly. She involuntarily shuddered as the electric sparks continued. She opened her eyes and raised her head to see the most handsome man she's ever laid her eyes on. He looked even better than a Greek god. This man was the epitome of beauty. It made her stunned for a while but then a reality sank in. Why were his eyes red?
Before she could think of anything more, she saw his canines elongate, becoming fangs, his red eyes even brighter. Before she could make a move, he suddenly lowered his head and removed her hair from the right side of her neck and sunk his canines into her neck. She screamed in pain.
"Mine!" she heard him say before her vision went all black. She fainted!
