Chapter 1 Prologue
"Alpha, there will be a full moon tomorrow," his beta said in a perturbed voice.
Dean glance out through the window and sighed, "I know that."
"The curse..."
Yeah, the f*cking curse.
Hundreds of years ago, Dean's ancestors provoked a powerful witch named Niala, by killing their coven members and so she placed a curse on his generation – specifically the males. Every full moon, the male transforms and remains in his wolf form for seven days without any rational thinking. They go berserk by killing their park members, ones with strong willpower hunt and kills any animal within their vicinity. In other words, they simply kill during that period. Finding a mate is the only way to break the curse.
In other to prevent harming his pack, Dean's great grandfather created a special room designed to contain any frenzied wolf. Only a certain number of people are aware of this fact, the rest pack members only know that their Alpha remains in his wolf form during the full moon, it'll raise alarm in the pack if they ever find out their alpha could hurt them.
His beta is apprehensive because of the recent threats from the Mercury pack. He's afraid that they might attack within these seven days.
"Their Alpha isn't stupid Zeke, he wouldn't attack without any reason, the Hunters will go after him."
Zeke nods ones but he still noticed the uncertainty in his eyes.
Ignoring the looks on his eyes, Dean continued"Tomorrow, after locking me up, I want you to clear the environment, ensure that everyone stays indoors."
"I know what to do Alpha."
The following evening, Zeke followed Dean's instructions by clearing up the environment, and on the seventh day of the curse, Dean who was locked in the confinement room in his wolf form, ravaged at the wall. His wolf has lost all sense of thinking, the only thing in his mind is... Destroy. Kill. He slammed his body on the door wanting to be let out. This has never happened to him before, he suddenly had a strong urge to go outside. He tried to stay rational but it was impossible. He dug his claws at the locks, tearing at it, when he saw it loosen up, he rammed his body into it again and again till the locks gave up.
Dean ran into the woods to hunt, he sighted a deer in no time and went for it. The moment he sank his teeth into the deer, a smell caught his attention, an intoxicating smell of sweet vanilla and honey, he trailed after it and soon realized where it's coming from. A girl, a silver- haired girl.
