Chapter 1 Rayna's POV

He grabbed my wrist and dragged me towards him as I was exiting his room.

"Spend some more time here," he whispered, kissing my cheek.

"No...I'm afraid I can't...

I adore you, but I must go."

I attempted to shove him, but he caught me in his arms and carried me bridal style to the bed before I could blink.

"Please go, Rahul...

I have to be in college the next day.

"You are aware that I have the assignment to do." As he began unbuttoning the blouse I was wearing, I remarked.

"I know since I am the one who gave you that task, but today I need you," he whispered as he kissed me again.

"Please leave me alone, Sir. I have to go." As he glanced at me, I said.

"Miss Tania, you're playing incorrectly.

You realize you're calling me Sir,' and you want me to stop?"

He questioned as he began to give me feathery kisses.

"Sir..please.." I pleaded.

"What do you require?"

"You, Sir."

"How about the task I assigned?"

"Screw the assignment."

"You have been a terrible girl. I'll punish you later, but for now, I need you."

Finally!

I finished this chapter and placed my laptop on the table.

I checked the clock and saw that it was 12.45 a.m.

I updated the chapter, went to the bathroom, washed my teeth (like I do every night before going to bed), and climbed into bed, but sleep eluded me because I was preoccupied with what I would write in the following chapter.

I was fortunate to discover an app that allowed me to compose tales.

Even though I didn't make any money, I met a lot of other readers and authors. I released the first chapter for fun, but people began to like it.

Will I add another sex scene between them or skip it?

But fans enjoy sex scenes, so I'd want to create one for them.

I don't want it to be a sex narrative, so I have to write it with a delicate line between passion and love, which may sometimes be challenging.

It was about a student and a professor who fell in love.

Anyway, I'll think about it tomorrow since I need to get some sleep because my employer would be upset if I'm late tomorrow.

I turned off the table light and went to sleep.

"I never had feelings for you."

"Who is going to love an obese girl like you?"

"You are so unattractive that I can't even kiss you, much alone have sex with you, which is why I have to go out and satisfy my sexual cravings."

"But if we were married, we'd always turn off the light and then have sex because I despise staring at your big body."

Shit!

His remarks have been disturbing me in my sleep since the day we split up.

I switched on the light and sat for a few minutes, as I had done for several years.

"Sh!t! You're twenty-eight years old, and it occurred so long ago that you still wake up in a state of confusion every day.

I took a glass of water, switched off the light, and went back to sleep as normal.

************************

When I awoke, it was already 8.30 a.m., and I needed to be at the hospital by 9.00 a.m.

I work as a receptionist at a hospital called 'Lifeline.'

I dressed in a red Kurti and black leggings, ate an apple for breakfast and shut the door.

As soon as I stepped outside the building, I drove an auto to the hospital, and as I sat in the chair, the first call came in, requesting an appointment for the following morning.

Dr. Singh was an M.b.b.s. and well-known in the community. Therefore, the hospital was constantly crowded.

The day passed as he took appointments for the following two days and assigned patients to his cabin based on their number.

Lunchtime arrived, and I ate my meal, which consisted of leftover roti and curry from yesterday's supper.

I typically leave by 6 p.m., but today I was late because there were two patients, and I couldn't go until they left.

*************************

It was around 7 p.m., and I was headed towards the car park when I saw a small girl weeping.

I walked up to her and knelt by her.

"How come you're sobbing, princess?"

I inquired.

"Daddy told me not to speak to strangers," she added, smiling as I dried her tears.

"And where is your daddy?"

I inquired.

"I was playing hide and seek with my father and brother when they tried to capture me, so I fled quickly, and now I've lost them. I'm not sure how I ended up outside the park". She stated this while wiping away her tears.

"Let's visit the park. They will not leave the park until you accompany them".

I replied as we sat at a restaurant waiting for her father.

"Do you have your father's phone number?"

"I forgot," she said.

"Don't worry, they'll find you."

"I assume they left me alone," she whispered, tears streaming down her face.

"There is no way they would abandon you, princess. I am certain they have not departed. They will track you down."

"Sweetheart," someone said, and I saw a father and a kid the same age as the infant girl beside him.

"Daddy," she cried, sprinting towards him.

"What happened to you? We have been looking for you for a long time". As he embraced her, he murmured.

"I got lost outside the park, but this aunty assisted me. She is lovely and has promised to remain with me until you locate me."

He stared at me as she said.

Our gazes locked, but my gaze was drawn to his physique.

He was quite attractive and had a flawless figure.

"Thank you very much for rescuing my daughter. It means a lot to me".

"Do you mind coming to my place for a cup of coffee? I mean, if you want".

"I mean, I know you don't know who I am, but you saved my life." He added.

"Okay."

I interrupted his stuttering.

I had no idea why I had said yes.

I would never have said yes, but maybe his stuttering was charming, or maybe I hadn't really thought about it before saying yes.

And it's just a cup of coffee.
