**Stop being so defiant, mate. You're mine** ~~~ "Come with me." "To where? I have my pack to protect. I can't leave them?" "You're mine, now. My pack is your pack, wolf." he coldly growled. "What why would it be... I-I don't even know your name," I stuttered. "Kai!" he yelled. "And yours?" "Doesn't matter!" I rushed out, saying. "I'm not coming with you anyway!" "Come to your senses, mate." he seethed with an ice glare. "I'm ending this pack tonight, because of their past sins." ... I'm mated to the enemy Alpha. As a cursed red wolf, I've always suffered a life of misery. I lived as a wolfless female in my previous pack. Now, thanks to the supreme Moon Goddess, I'm paired to a ruthless man who kills for pleasure. His name is Alpha Kai of the Valmore pack. At his name, everyone trembles. There is something mystical about him. So dangerous, yet compelling. My wolf won't leave me alone, she wants to mate him ever since she set eyes on him. Katara is my name, and my so-called mate, burnt my pack down. I think I'm one of the chosen ones, with no idea of the prophecy of my fate. I have no knowledge of what the Moon Goddess is planning. Whatever it is, it's sick and twisted.
Alpha Kai's POV
"Mate." I whispered, in a hushed tone, walking towards where she squat. With droplets of cold rain splashing vividly on her body, she trembled on her spot, shivering from the weather.
"P-please don't hurt me...please." she begged immediately, her eyes bolting from us. It made me realize she was afraid of us. Of something. It made me want to hug her. Tell her not to be afraid, that I wasn't going to hurt her anytime soon.
"Look at me." I ordered her. I could smell her by now. It was something delicious and my beast was loving it. He was threatening to surface, wild with uncontrollable passion for this beautiful creature in front of us.
"I said look at me!" Still in a scare, she removed her hands slowly peeking to see a part of my face.
My mate narrowed her eyes at the sight of me. She had a red frizzy hair and a petite frame. Something told me she could be bigger, that she wasn't in the best of places right now... I hoped she liked what she saw. I had a dirty blond hair, and a cruel looking face.
High, harsh cheekbones locked in a frown at all times. With these features, will she fall for me?
"Get up." I ordered. More droplets of rain swooshed in, with the arrow of fire totally disappearing. She sighed in relief, getting up with her eyes locked in curiosity at me. "Who are you?" My mate, asked softly. "Alpha of Valmore pack- Kai Vincenzo."

Katara'a POV
I lived as a peasant in the pack house, so no one noticed me. They knew I was the Alpha and Luna's daughter.
However, after the announcement of my unavailable wolf, no one took it serious. Father and mother both made it that way. Went as far as presenting a maid's son as the heir. I went under that maid in return, working under her. I was unwanted since the very day I was born.
Because I wasn't a male wolf. I couldn't indulge in fights or takeover as the pack's Alpha. My dad seeked a male heir. Thus, hating my being as his daughter. At 13 though, a greater curse occurred though. Instead of having a normal wolf, the Moon Goddess chose to curse me with a blood red wolf. The myth of the blood red wolf is still a mystery.
However, everyone believed wolves of that color brought misfortune to their mate and pack. Their kind although went extinct, for centuries. My parents, even more disappointed made me hide my wolf from others.
"You stink, Katara. Ever thought to have a bath?" Mother let out, stopping in her tracks after noticing me. I was heading to the kitchen, after cleaning the entire pack house, in my servant dress. I knew she hated me. In fact, she tried to eliminate me out of shame as an infant.
"As you wish, my Luna." With a bow, I replied. "I-I will go and have one now." I whispered with a stammer, bowing my head before walking from her presence. "You better do."
"And be sure to apply the oils so your natural scent wears off." she added. "Very well, my Luna!" I exclaimed. "Your tea, milord." I said to dad, serving him and his guests tea like I was told.
"Thanks, pretty one." one man snickered. He was a Beta from his smell. His hands ran through my butts sexually.
"I like this one, how much is she for a night?" I immediately growled at him, ripping his hands off. The impact made the saucers and cup break, falling to the floor.
"You dare to shame my guests in front of me?!" A kick hit my stomach, and I fell to the floor, gasping for breath. It was from Alpha Alaric. The man I was supposed to call dad. "Get out from here! Now! Get out of the pack house, girl! You've always been unwanted anyway!" he cussed under his breath.
I ran hurriedly, towards the lake with an intention to have a quick bath from his touches.
Tears stung my eye, as I wandered to the grass sitting on it. The wind blew past my hair. I brought out my flute. Seemed like this was one of the things that gave me solace.
Having to hide the abilities attached to the blood wolf, was no easy job. My hands, were always in gloves to prevent me from burning anything at my touch. "When creating me..."
"Was my suffering what you had in mind? Do I even have a mate, like normal wolves?" I asked the Moon Goddess, hoping she heard. "Nope right?"
No response.
"Guess this misfortune is forever then." More tears spilled as I wiped them, burying my face in the grass sobbing a lot. It hurt. Being treated like an outcast, all your life. It really hurt. I removed the piece of raven hair is which was a disguise. And my dark eye makeup I used in dying my red lashes and brows. Bringing out my natural wild auburn curls.
I slipped off my dress putting the hair under it. I walked to the water entering it with my naked body, crying profusely. The sooner I was out, I wore my clothes, running towards the forest. "Why?!" I howled, feeling hurt in my chest.
"I am an Alpha's daughter! I bear a noble blood! Yet I'm cursed!" Completely on my knees, I broke down saying.
"You made me unwanted. I have to leave wolfless all my life and get bullied because of it!" I clenched my garment hard, this time.
"Why do you multiply my shame everyday? Why do you add to my parent's hate for me?" I looked up to the sky adding. No reply. Suddenly, I was welcomed with splatters of stainless rain swooshing through. It poured down my face, as I cried.
"Am I not enough to get a happy ending?"
"Am I not?!" An arrow coated with fire suddenly came flying through.
Luckily I dodged it, thus remaining unscathed. I looked towards where it came from only to see several yellow eyes in the dark. A gigantic beast, growled at me. Emanating a strong aura which made him more prominent. "Mate..."
