The Girl Across the street

Betty!!" Jay yelled while looking around for her "Betty can you hear me?, where are you?" He asked in a really loud voice and made to run up the stairs "Betty!!" He called out again but this time Jay

bumped into a very annoyed Betty, who was glaring at him *goddamn it*

"Jay what's your problem, why are you yelling?" She asked in a pissed off tone and the younger boy held up his hands in surrender and took two steps back

"Hey I didn't mean to, but you have to see this" he said and grabbed her hands

"what's that?" Betty asked as he dragged her behind him

"It's the new neighbors"

"New neighbors?" She yelled in shock and jay turned to her and nodded, this truly is shocking because no one has moved into that apartment for years now.

"Yes, a family just moved in a while ago, and I think they're really cool." Jay said grinning.

we both stopped by the window that allows us see the next compound, "I mean check it out" He said excitedly and pointed at their compound.

Betty rolled her eyes at him and then turned back to face the house "yeah, yeah I know what you think is cool is the skateboard and hike bikes right?" She asked and a smug smile appeared on my face *who doesn't know that?*

After that, they both just silently stared at the house, " I am excited that we have neighbors but at the same time I hate it. I've come to love the fact that the street is always quiet at all time, because the neighboring buildings aren't occupied." Betty thought

The smiths street isn't the type with a lot of buildings and houses in it, it's just that of Betty's and two other houses at the end of the street, which occupied by some foreigners who I haven't cared so much to know.

And the fact that the house next door has been empty for a long time now, I think six years now, made it feel like it wasn't there at all. Betty and her family moved in to the house as a toddler and while growing up She despised the quietness that surrounded them but now, She can't really explain why but have grown to love it or maybe She just grew comfortable about it because Truth be told, her parents don't plan on moving anytime soon!!

Betty sat on her bed and watch the new family of three as they unpack their stuffs from the truck,since her window made it way easier for her to see everything clearly. She watched with curiosity all over her face like One who was expecting to see something.

But there was nothing, just a blank stare and the family unpacking their bags and other items from the truck .

"Betty!" Betty!!", "Here comes the brat again". Betty mumbled to herself . Jay Betty's younger brother , he was wearing that angry bird look like someone that was greatly pissed off.

oh I just realized he was angry cause he probably have been calling me now for a while without any response, well how is that my fault? You should blame my ears for not hearing clearly enough.

" oh am sorry jay, I wasn't concentrating" Betty said to him looking at his grumpy face,

"am gonna be heading off to George's place to finish up my chemistry assignment" , the younger boy said.

Oh! O-Ky. He cut me off by shutting the door as he made his way down stairs to get his bike.

"That brat won't be the end of me, "She let out, while returning to her room.
