Chapter 1 ***Chapter***

Life is a hurdle of various emotions. There are a lot of ups and downs. Some enjoy these hurdles as they have smooth beginnings and endings but some have dreadful beginnings and they don't have even a slight idea when they will have a smooth endings. Some people are living their life accepting these hurdles as a part and parcel of their life.

There was a small town located on the rugged coastline on the Riviera. The town was not big and crowded as it was deprived of facilities and hospitalities like the big cities.

In the middle of town, there was a two stores wooden house. It was a single house having no house near it. Trees were scattered in clusters around the house which made it difficult for one to spot the house at a farther distance.

A girl was sitting in the backyard of the house. Her face was ducked in both of her hands and she was sobbing lightly with light hiccups.

A loud voice jerked her off from her crying. She looked to the source of the voice. Her eyes landed on her aunt who was looking at the poor girl in pure anger.

Her aunt approached her and shouted in a full rage voice,"Salveria, What the hell are you doing here?"

The poor girl instantly got up and ran to her aunt. She was shivering in fear. She gulped her tears and said with a trembling voice,"Sorry Aunt, I was not feeling well. So, I just came here to relax for a moment."

Her Aunt grabbed her hair in her fist harshly. She said in a hatred voice, "Stop giving me your pathetic excuses, Salveria. I know you are a lazy creature."

Salveria wanted to say but she knew that all her statements given to her aunt were a waste of her words. According to her aunt, she was a big clumsy fellow.

Salveria always did all the household chores on her own. Her aunt always spends her time teasing the poor girl by putting false remarks on her character and on her behavior.

Hearing no response from Salveria, her aunt pushed her on the floor. She fell down on the floor with a thud which made her left knee bruised. She hissed in pain but her aunt's ears were deaf to hearing Silveira's pleadings.

Aunt looked at her bruised knee and said, "Now you get one more excuse to skip work. But listen me girl, I don't care about you a bit so just gather yourself and finish the remaining household chores."

And she left Salveria on the floor. After her aunt went to her room Salveria tried to get up from the floor with timid steps. But it seems the pain in her knee shot up to a high level which was not wearable by Salveria.

Somehow, she got up from the floor with the support of side things. She was crying in pain. Her leg was completely filled in pain. While crawling and taking slow steps she reached her room.

Her room was more like a store room than a normal person room. A number of things were stuffed in the room. Salveria's bed was placed at a corner which was not in a good condition.

The room condition was enough to make anyone sick by its appearance but here a girl was living in this store.

She sat on the bed and broke down while looking at her leg. She touched her leg and a painful scream left from her mouth.

She palmed her mouth because she didn't want to hear any other remark from her aunt.

She looked for ointment in the side drawer. She found it but unfortunately only a small quantity was left which was enough for a single use only.

She applied a small quantity and kept the ointment aside on the side table. Then her eyes spotted her parents' picture.

Salveria was an orphan girl. Her parents died when she was just 4-year-old. After her parents' death her aunt who was her mother's sister brought Salveria to her house.

In the starting days, her Aunt Rose behaved with her decently, afterwards it seems that Rose was tired of showing her false colors to Salveria or one can say she was tired of her false sweet behavior towards the girl.

Being a 4-year child, she didn't remember much about her childhood memories with her parents but the few memories she had of them was enough to make her heart feel content.

Along with her parents' face she still remembers the two haunted faces from her childhood. The faces which were responsible for her parents' death. The faces Which were responsible for her present bad condition.

Tears were flowing out from her eyes continuously. Her eyes started to irritate and burned. She rubbed them to soothe the irritation but nothing worked. Then she went to the washroom while managing her injured leg.

She firstly splashed water on her eyes. She tried to open her eyes but the sensation in her eyes was increasing with each second.

Then, not finding any other solution, she removed her lenses from both of her eyes one by one.

And washed her eyes. Then she looked at herself in the mirror.

The eyes which were brown in color for the outer world were not brown in reality. They were sea green in color, a rare eye color.

She stared at her reflection in the mirror without blinking. Her eyes were twinkling with sadness and pain.

She threw a handful of water on the mirror and said in disgust,"I hate these eyes."

Salveria's father had blue eyes while her mother had green hazel eyes. Salveria was born with the mixture of these eye colors which resulted in the Prussian Sea green eyes of Salveria.

It seemed that one could see his soul in those Prussian Sea green eyes that were the most beautiful pair of eyes a person had ever witnessed in his life.

Salveria was now a 21-year-old girl. Her face was round like a moon with a button nose. Her eyes were big like a doe and two diamonds like her sea green eyes always beamed in them.

Her parents saw her eyes and always said that these eyes are not less than a glimpse of heaven but only Salveria knows that her eyes were not less than a hell to her.

She saw her parents murder with these eyes and moreover her eyes were the reason for her parents' murder.
