But he soon found out that Marrietta had been his long awaited one. Would Kaytu choose love over his passion to rule greatly?

Chapter 1 A MALICIOUS PLAN

A loud thunderous sound was heard which made everyone shiver and panick in terror!

The rain that was dripping in fine lines began to fall heavily as everywhere darkened and the firmaments could only produce murderous lightening and thunder!

Some Nadians that were present in the market all tried to get a place to harbor themselves while running from places to places. Only the vendors working for Miguel stood; regulating the effects of their water hexes, making the waves to become more brutal, causing a devastating wreck!

God Miguel smiled, as his plans were unfolding as he had wanted, 'Yes! They would attack and provoke Kaytu, then use that to expose and embarrass him, then, they'll split, and he could rule the water-kind since he had fought for them'. He smiled wickedly.

While Miguel was having his thoughts, Kaytu and Paisley appeared in the market hand in hand, and they both walked forward, Kaytu didn't give room for Paisley to get a safe haven as he held unto her hand stiffly.

In no time at all everything stopped, even drops of water hung in the air.

Kaytu was the only one who moved, he left Paisley and quickly spotted the fake vendors that had triggered the heavy rain earlier, he summoned all their strength and tied them all up while they remained motionless, and led them to the centre of the Market place, he returned to Paisley and took her hand, then he took her to stand before Miguel and with a snap of his fingers everything was back to normal.

It was so easy for him to ruin Miguel's plans.

Miguel was surprised and confused at the same time. 'What just happened? Isn't it raining now? How come it suddenly went dry everywhere, he thought, turning around and then seeing the merchants he and Draige had connived with and seeing that they were all tied up, how could that be? he asked in his mind, fear written all over his face.

He looked at Kaytu directly across from him who was holding his daughter, he flinched at the look Kaytu gave him, A look with the intent to kill!

"Did Kaytu freeze time again?" Miguel asked mentally. He knew Kaitu could freeze time since he used it to combat his enemies even before he became king, but he just didn't know how he had done it.

He plucked up the courage to speak, knowing fully, that he had yet to carry out his plan. "Your Highness! Did you freeze time?

"Yes! Is something wrong with that?” Kaytu asked with a terrifying gaze.

"Nothing... Your Majesty!... I just don't understand why these vendors are in shackles now," Miguel said sarcastically.

"Mmm! Do you want to know why?” Kaytu asked and wanted to see Miguel's reaction.

"Well, I feel like everyone here deserves to know why, not just me." Miguel said furiously.

"You're right! Miguel, but I think you should explain to everyone why these salesmen are in shackles!” Kaytu said and returned the question to him.

Miguel scoffed scornfully, "I don't understand your thoughts, Your Majesty." He said.

Without answering Miguel, Kaytu called his guards from their hiding place. "Lock him up together with his cohorts. He ordered.

"Yes, Your Majesty!" Samir, responded with a bow. He went straight to Miguel, who was about to flee, and was about to arrest him when Miguel spoke up.

“God Kaytu!! You're an irresponsible king!! Don't think you can shut me up!! I know you killed five of our kind that went to the spell lawn to plant, and that is the main reason we choose to attack! You have nolified our peace treaty, it was written, that no one, not even you the king could kill another kind unjustly without reporting to their leaders at first.”

Everyone was in awe when they heard this, and they all turned to look at Kaytu but quickly retracted their gaze, knowing they could lose their lives just for doing that.

“Father what are you saying?!” Paisley yelled, almost at the verge of crying. “Will you just leave my husband alone?” She scolded.

She didn't care whether Kaytu had killed those people unjustly or not, all she cared about was having Kaytu to herself and his powers still intact. She looked at Kaytu worriedly while she kept mute.

"Samir! Bring those water-kinds out!” Kaytu ordered the chief of the guard without changing his expression. Samir rushed to get the water-kinds who were kept in a hut, all tied up.

They looked well cared for, showing no signs of torture or abuse.

Miguel looked shocked as he saw the five creatures he had sent to cast the poison spell in the enchanted garden. However, Miguel doesn't give up easily, he saw these five dead with Katyu's mark on them, even before they reached the Enchanted Garden, and Miguel personally refused to bury them and preserve their corpse to use as evidence against Kaytu.

He looked at Draige and said, "Draige! Remove those corpses immediately! Everyone should see it for themselves!”

Draige responded with a sorry look and said, "God Miguel, these corpses are just clones, they are not real, I discovered that earlier, before time froze." The aquatic creatures were still very much alive."

Miguel averted his gaze from Draige, whom he considered useless from that moment, and looked at the aquatic creatures he thought Kaytu had killed, but he was actually wrong! They were still very much alive?

Knowing that Kaytu wouldn't spare him at all, Miguel remained silent and looked down in embarrassment. But his eyes sparkled at a thought! He already had a Plan B.

Samir and his fellow guards took Miguel, Draige, and the other powerless vendors back to the royal estate to lock them up, leaving those water kind behind at first.

Paisley was happy with the result, but she still doesn't want her father dead! She just hoped that Kaytu would change his mind! — But is it possible? She asked inwardly.

Kaytu turned to her, still holding her hand. "This is a ceremony I wanted to attend with you. I hope you enjoyed it?” Kaytu asked with a cold look.

Paisley could only fake a smile as she understood the meaning of Katyu's words. "He made her see her father fall from grace and get arrested, Kaytu is really evil!" She thought.

“This is also a warning to you, I detest someone getting on my nerves on purpose!” He said in a terrifying tone and yanked off her hand.

Her face flushed from embarrassment as she looked around, trying to comport herself.

Simultaneously In-between the natural and the supernatural world.

Riel, the grim reaper spoke to Marrietta. “Marrietta, you need to leave now! It's the best time for you to go, enough of the questions.”

“I don't even know this Kaytu whatever!!” Marietta retorted.

“Everything I told you the day before will only stay in your subconscious. After you leave this place you won't remember everything you experienced here, but do not fret, I'll guide you in spirit, just remember: "Work in the royal household..." Riel sent her off.
